In 1948 3 major events happened, none of which made an impact for 15 years.
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Then by 1963 the first signs of Israel being a nation were the wars starting in the region.
The Supreme Court ruling of separation of church and state was starting to be enforced.
But the worst of all is that the body of Christ had let television go to the world. The excuse was that the body did not believe it would last. The prices were right, in the late 40's major sponsors were signing on long term packages that would help them in the coming decade more than anyone could imagine.
By allowing the world to have television and not getting the kingdom in there, Satan took full charge of it, by separating us and telling us his vision.
Well, it is called "Tell-A-Vision".
How?
With the Vietnam war growing, and more and more of our boys going to fight and die in the war, more and more families watched television for any news. By 1968 we had been glued to our televisions for 2 hours a night watching to see if a son, brother, friend, or what ever was killed, injured, or captured. Satan knew what he was doing; he arranged for the news to start and run during the dinner hour. Since there was no VCR's to record it, we had to watch it live. After watching two hours of horror, we then watched the local and national broadcast of some show to relieve us from the horrors we just witnessed. So now we are watching 3 - 4 hours a day, our dinner hour, family time, and time visiting our neighbors were shot. By 1974, when peace came, we were so hooked that we could not turn the box off. As time went by more graphic violence, sex, drugs, and so forth were needed for ratings, both on the small and big screen.
by the time the average child born after 1960 was 18 they had seen 70,000 acts of violence in cartoons and shows they would not have seen before.
Remember that the violence was getting more graphic, more real, and more frequent. Add to that, families needed more items, more luxury (VCR's TVs Cars). By demanding more the prices were driven up causing families to to think they need to have two incomes. So we went from 1948 where people during dinner sat, ate, talked, and afterwards would listen to some radio, and visit neighbors; to a time where the family no longer talked at all. The children came home and became latch key kids supervising themselves with no adult help. When the parents got home and cooked dinner they would sit in front of the box till bedtime. No longer talking to each other, not knowing each other; so divorce starts. Now we have single parent families adding even more stress and problems.
Children were being raised without a father, and at the same time no one knew their neighbors.
Satan divided us from our neighbors, then from each other, and then he destroyed our families. Now he is killing our children. Steal, kill, and destroy - stealing our time, killing us, and destroying our families. Do you get it?
Who's fault is this? No not the media, not the news, not the government. It was our fault. We allowed this to happen. We could turn the t.v. off at any time. We could start talking and doing things together as a family and neighbors. We could do without some of the luxuries and keep the wife/husband home to supervise the children and keep house. But no, we did none of these. It is not too late; we can start turning off the box, watch what games our kids are playing (and that is a whole different subject). We could sensor the movies we allow them to go to, and be more involved with our neighbors, schools, families, and of course churches.
I did an experiment in the late 80's at a Lutheran Church, I got the high schoolers to go a week without t.v. and radio and of course movies. They were at the end of the week bored, but had done all their home work got better grades on them than usual and any test that week showed higher Marks. They spent more time with each other TALKING and learning about each other, and in the homes where the whole home joined in the family grew closer.
It is a fact, T.V., Nintendo, Sega, Movies, Music, and so forth add to our violence, and what level of violence we will tolerate. Don't you know 30 years ago the public would not have tolerated a shooting at a school where 5 died at the hands of an 11 and 13 year old? But today we talk about how sad it is, and we talk and we talk but that is all we do.
Yes, it is the last of last days, but that does not mean we are not responsible still. We are responsible until we leave here or the Lord returns.
We can do it if pastors will start pushing their congregation to turn off the t.v. and monitor what their children watch and are involved in, if congregations will listen and do, not just sit, agree, leave, then forget.
We have to take our country back from Satan, and it starts in our homes, then our neighborhoods, then the city, then the state, the country, and finally the world. Now where have I heard that before?
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Now it is 50 years later and the separation of church and state has gone to the point of separating us from the church.
Israel is a nation and a major power.
Television is more violent and dangerous than ever before.
But WE have the internet, and we need to make sure that as television and the net grow together, we are so deep in the net we take the kingdom to television.
In a few short years the net and t.v. will be one. You will be able to surf the net on t.v. and see it instantly, no waiting for downloads. Then video and audio will be at the level of t.v. We can make a difference if we start now, getting our churches, missionaries, evangelists, and church members on line with sites with tools that help.
Spread the word throughout the net to this sick and hurting world.
Take back our families and homes from television, games, and movies. Talk to our children and being there for them.
Most of all turn to God and repent of our sins, change our ways, and make sure God is our God and not t.v. or some other form of distraction.
Even the net and computers can become a problem if we are not careful.
If we are not careful and start now, the next shooting may be one of our children or someone we know. None of us wants that, but we have to start NOW, not tomorrow or the next day. Make a comitment to do it NOW. Say it out loud "God, I comit my home, family, neighborhood, city, state and country to you in the Name of Jesus, and I will start now taking my home back. Then go in and get the family together and talk; ask them what happened during the day, and ask them about school and work. Talk about vacations, or other plans, but talk. Take them for a walk if your neighborhood is safe.
