By noon they were telling everyone to leave because the river was cresting and by morning the entire town would be under water.

A neighbor offered John a ride out, he stated "God will provide". So the neighbor left and John remained behind.

Then the police were using boats to get people out. When they came by John's house he had been forced to his second floor due to raising waters.

They told him to get on the boat and they would get him out. He again responded with "God will provide".

So by dusk a helicopter came by and by now John had been forced to the roof. They offered John a ride out. And again John replied "God will provide".

By the next morning John had drowned.
When John met God, John asked "Why did you not provide me a way out?"

God responded and said I sent a car, a boat and a helicopter, you rejected all three.
