Overcome the Problems of Life

godsgifttoyou.com has been on line since July 1996 and has had more than a million visitors. Through all of the surveys, emails, prayer requests, and coments received by us, we have learned how you can be extremely blessed on a daily basis.

We have discovered from tens of thousands of emails, prayer requests, and coments that most people do not give God the time of day, but as soon as their back is against the wall and they have no where else to turn then they expect God to bail them out of their problem.

The biggest problem here is that they wait until there is no time left and then need a miracle. God does still do miracles and prayer does work.

What I ask is, "Why wait until you have a problem?"

If you think you never will be with your back up against the wall, you need to talk to almost everyone to whom we have ever talked, because they thought the same thing.

What if you had a child who did not even give you the time of day, but occasionally showed up on Sunday for lunch, more out of tradition and ritual than out of desire and love? You may say that if he or she would just give you 20 minutes a day, you could help prevent most of the problems or, at the least, help to overcome the problems in the future. If this child still did not give you the time of day, but as soon as he or she had no one else to go to, came to you, would you be very pleased with him? And how many of you may not even help that child?

To one degree or another we have all become that child and all it takes to change it is pray the Lord’s prayer daily, read at least half a chapter a day in the New Testament, pray over your food, when you wake up at least acknowledge God, and at bedtime do the same. These few things, this little bit of time, will bless you more than you ever could imagine.

Pastors and ministry leaders, you need to at least give God the tithe on your time which would be at least 2 hours and 24 minutes a day. Spend it listening to Him as well as being in prayer and reading His word. Both the study of His word and your prayer life will improve based on time listening to God first hand.

Three reasons people do not grow or are not growing.
1. They do not believe in God.
2. They do not listen to God.
3. They are caught up in the law.

Read Malachi 3:11 and Mark 4:12-20 and compare. Malachi "rebuke the devouror of the ground", Mark sow into the ground and Satan steals it. There are four different ground or groups in Mark 4:12-20.
Some will not grow, some 30 fold (second group), some 60 fold (third group), some 100 fold (fourth group).

A Question That Could Change Your Life.

I am going to ask you a question and if you are honest with your self-this question could help you understand and grow in ways nothing else before has. Now remember be honest with your self, no one other than you and God knows if you are or are not.

Do you have doubts about your salvation, about the word of God or anything dealing with God? To help you narrow it down a bit think back, have you ever read a scripture, then re-read it and found more understanding and depth to it the second or third time you read it, or even found it changed your idea of what it meant in the first place?

If you have, think about this, what part of scripture are you 100% sure about?

Before you judge anyone, or try to change another person's ideas or mind on anything in the word of God, you need to be 100% sure you are right. If you have even the slightest doubt and later find you were wrong, you can not fix the damage you caused by changing others mind on anything.

The best thing to do is to first train yourself to stop whenever you notice you are about to judge anyone or anything. Ask your self the following few questions:

  1. Am I right; am I 100% sure?
  2. Even if what I am about ready to judge is wrong; do I have the right to judge?
  3. What would Jesus do?

Know this, we are not to judge. In Matthew 7:1-5 we are told not to judge under any conditions. Then in John 3:17 we read that even Jesus did not judge. He came to save not judge.

So what should we do when we see or even know of anything or anyone that is wrong, in action, teachings, or deeds?

Turn them over to God and let Him handle them. He is still God (I Peter 5:7).

In prayer always ask God to enlighten you to where you may be wrong, and to enlighten others to the same as well.

By doing this you are not compromising, or even being lazy, actually if anything this is the harder of the two ways.

Then read I Peter 5:7, Heb 11:6, John 14:26, Matthew 7:1-5, John 3:16-17, I John 2:27, Hosea 4:6
