Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Purpose of Life!

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, Author

We must first understand how division came between man and God before we study the true purpose of life, which has been lost for most.

First we will look at a few misconceptions, and lies that are being taught.

Sin came to us due to a lie. A lie is something that is no longer 100% true. There is no such thing as a "little white lie" or just "stretching the truth". The truth is the truth nothing more or less and everything else is a lie.

Original Sin Due to a Lie

Genesis 3

1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

God never told Adam not to touch the tee or that if they did they would die. First off God only commanded Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God knew there would be other humans later and is always very specific so if He meant Adam and Eve or Adam and others He would have said so. At the very least He never said Adam could not touch.

Genesis 2

17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The entire reason Satan did not mess with Adam and Eve before this was he was waiting for an opening for him to enter. When Adam added to what God said it was no longer 100% true. That meant it had become a lie and that gave way for Satan to enter.

God Tests Mankind, Satan Enters due to Fear

Job 1

8. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

I have heard many teach, based mainly or solely on the above verse, that God tests us.

Based on how most interpret Job 1:8 it appears God is pointing Job out to Satan so Satan will test Job. That is not the truth and when you see the way it would read literally from the Hebrew to English you discover God was not pointing Job out, but instead asking Satan what Satan's intent was with Job.

8.

|0559| And said

|3068| Yahweh

|0000| to

|7854| Satan,

|7760| Have you set

|3824| your heart

|5650| on My servant

|0347| Job?

|3588| For

|0369| not is {any}

|0000| like him

|0776| in the earth,

|0376| a man

|8535| perfect

|3477| and upright,

|3373| revering

|0430| God

|5186| and turning away

|7451| from evil.

The door opened for Satan to come in and interfere with him when Job feared. When we fear we have replaced faith with fear and that is enough for Satan to have access to us.

Job 3

25. For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Praying and Fasting Required to Cast out Demons

Matthew 17

19. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

22. And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

Many use Matthew 17:21 to teach that we must pray and fast, but the truth is that verse was added by the translators and in most versions you will find a line break between verse 21 and 22. The line break is to show that the verse proceeding it was not in the original text. In verse 20 Jesus talked about faith and how by faith anything is possible. It makes no sense for Him to immediately say "But" and then talk about praying and fasting. I believe it was added to explain why some of the leaders in the past could not do what they should have been able to do by faith.

Incorrect Translation Leads to Inventive Teachings

Genesis 1

28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In a time before PC's, when researching a word's meaning and its original language would take days and some times even weeks, one man ran across the word "replenish" in the above verse. Instead of looking up the word to verify what it actually meant, he took it at face value and came up with a new teaching. That being – God had a previous creation and then cast Satan down. When He did it destroyed all that was here and this is why God is telling them to replenish the second creation. In doing this, that person started a new teaching by taking verses out of context and then stating that others were not even placed in the correct order so we would have to learn the order to the verses in Revelation 12. When all along, if he had looked up "replenish", he would have discovered that the word in Hebrew was "male'" and was translated wrong. Of course he never would have thought that the King James was wrong anywhere at all. That’s because he most likely believed (as many did) that the Bible was God's breathed word, and they are right, but not in English. It was only correct in Hebrew for the Old Testament and in Greek for the New.

28.

Strong's Ref. # 4390

Romanized male'

Pronounced maw-lay'

or mala' (Esth.7v5) {maw-law'}; a primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively):

There are many others I could show, but for now you should have an idea about the problems in the word on its own due to translators without man's interpretation.

For two thousand years there has been great division due to an event recorded in scripture in Acts 5.

Acts 5

12. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

13. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

14. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

The apostles were separated from the rest. This happened due to fear from the rest that if they were of them (of the Spirit) that which happened to Ananias and Sapphira might happen to them.

1 Corinthians 1

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Paul ran into a problem as well where there were those who were breaking off into groups and he addressed it. To update the above verses to see how it is relevant to today, replace Paul, Apollos, and Cephas with Baptist, Methodist, etc.

The point is with the separation in Acts 5 and then in I Corinthians 1:11-13 along with a law made in fourth century Rome by Constantine, the church was becoming more and more divided, more worldly, and less and less of the Spirit. In the fourth century, Constantine, the supreme ruler of Rome passed a law that all Romans were Christian and that the religion of Rome was now Christianity. This opened the doors, over the centuries to come, to those who did not believe to be in power of the church. Those in the dark and middle ages who wanted power and did not believe only had to lie that they did. Subsequently many of them, over time, rose all the way to the top.

Let's look at what Jesus said about the future, our time:

Matthew 7

13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

The word many above actually should be most. Jesus said most would be on a path to destruction while only a few were on a path to life. How and why is this so?

Matthew 7

16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In verses 16-20 Jesus was talking about fruit to set up for verses 22-23. So let us start with verse 23 where Jesus referred to those of verse 22 who had done many wonderful works in His name. Jesus calls them workers of evil and tells them to depart because He never knew them. Of course He knew of them, but never actually got to know them because they would not take the time to know Him. I have been told by many today that they were too busy doing His works and that was the same was for the ones in verse 22.

In verse 21 Jesus said many would say unto Him, "Lord, Lord" and not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

In verses 16-20 He talked about fruit and that we will be known by our fruit. Based on what we have read the fruit is not the fruit of our works. So what is it? The only fruit that can not be copied or even be had without first having a relationship with God is the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5

22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

  1. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The will of His Father, and our Father is first that we have a relationship with Him via the Spirit and with Jesus via the Spirit.

Revelation 3

19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

As many as He loves–based on John 3:16 that is everyone.

He will rebuke–means He will show us the error of our ways.

He will chasten–means to educate.

So we will be zealous–means so we will have a warm feeling for Him.

Repent–means to change the path we are on and our ways from destruction to life.

Revelation 3

20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

  1. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

We are to hear from Him. How else would He rebuke, chasten so we can be zealous, and repent? The Bible is a way to Him, a manual of a kind on why and how we should be listening to Him and not mankind.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We are supposed to be taught everything by the Spirit and nothing by mankind, but we do it the reverse, the dead opposite.

1 Corinthians 1

19. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Those of you starting to see the purpose of life are blessed; for the rest let's read on.

Genesis 22

18. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

God did not have Abraham take his son to sacrifice to show to God Abraham could and would do it, but to show to Abraham that nothing was before God in his life, not even his son. God saw ahead and knew what Abraham could and would do.

Deuteronomy 28

1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Most who teach the blessings and curses of Deuteronomy 28 do not teach verse 1. That it is based on listening and obeying Vs not listening and not obeying.

Two themes present themselves throughout the Bible. First is "the one". In the Old Testament it is the one God could find to talk or work through. In the New Testament the one is anyone who believe and actually know Him in a one on one relationship. The other theme is listening to God and being obedient to Him, which is needed to have the aforementioned one on one relationship. All He did in the Old Testament was to make ready that which was to be made available to us in the New Testament. There is a way to God–if we come to know Jesus we will come to know the Father.

The purpose is quite simply a one on one relationship with God, where we shut up and listen to Him and are obedient to Him.

Most of the works, ministries, etc were developed by the world to keep man too busy to hear. In the relationship He will guide us to what He wants us to do, not what we think He wants us to do. In our arrogance we believe we know what He wants from each of us. In humble truth we discover it is nothing more than a Father & child relationship.

Purpose of Life for the Non Believer

The purpose for those who do not believe in and know God is nothing in this life and eternal torment in the life to come. It is their choice. I believe God gives all that have not made the right choice one last chance at the end of their life. That in that blink of an eye God stops time for them alone and offers them one last chance to choose Jesus and spend eternity with Him.

I believe this because in the eight years I was a pastor at a nursing home many on their death bed in the last seconds would say one thing before passing on "Jesus is Lord". Then they would die and I would find out from families that the person never believed before that.

Purpose of Life for the Believer

For all who believe and actually know the Lord, this life is where we make the choices that deliver us in the end to a life of eternal torment or with God. For the believer the next life is one so awesome that it is hard to even describe. Imagine trying to describe your existence to baby that is still in the womb, so is the next life compared to this life.

It is more than worth it. The first two lives we live have much in common. Both have a limited life span, limited universe, and effect where we go next. In the womb we are given the chance to live this life as a male or female and in this life we are given the chance to know God before we meet Him in the end.
