Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Revelation Knowledge: Love

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

All who will open their minds, and seek God to know what follows, will learn the truth about God and how to be of God. This study deals with revelation knowledge about love, God's kind of love. But, without a revelation from God about it all what most people will get is some head knowledge.

1 John 1

1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

John is stating what we have all read in John 1:14 about how the word became flesh and dwelled on earth.

What an awesome event: that the actual word of God, that which was in the beginning and nothing was created without became flesh to save us to deliver us and to bless us!

Think about what Jesus went through, what He gave up in heaven with God and all the angels just to come here.

So many have taught doom and gloom or that God tests us and allows bad things to happen to us, it is no wonder that many do not want to be a part of Him based on what they had been taught. Plus, what many have witnessed through those claiming to be of Christ. I know two men, these men love God and both have wives who are disgusted with God and religion, based on religion they were taught and how they were treated.

Guess what? Jesus did not come to start a new religion!

The word "church" used in the New Testament is the wrong word; it is not even in the definition for the Greek word, it should be "community."

Jesus came to re-unite mankind to God, to start a new community, not bound by blood line, lines on a map, not of race or religion, etc., but based in what God is, the Spirit.

John 14

12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Why is it that Jesus said we would do greater things than He and we do not see them? Could it be that we have been misled or wrongly taught/

Matthew 7

13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

False Prophets above is false leaders, false teachers, so those who are on the path to destruction, which is the majority, are on this path due to false teachings.

Matthew 7

20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In Verse 22 Jesus tells how many will do wonderful works in His name, and in verse 23 He will tell the same ones to depart that they are workers of evil because He never knew them. Of course, He knew of them, but they never took the time to know Him so that He could know them.

Jesus, in Revelation chapter 2-3 up till chapter 3:19, tells how out of the seven churches six are not of Him and, then, in the last four verses of chapter 3 Jesus tells how He will help us if we let Him.

Revelation 3

19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

John 3

16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For as many as He loves (all of us), He rebukes (this is to convict us of sin), and then chastens (to help us see the error of our ways), or educates (so we will have a warm feeling for His love and change our hearts).

Revelation 3

20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

We have to be listening for Him so He can help us. He is not Satan that He would force Himself on us. He waits for us to open the door to Him.

You can start as far back as Genesis and go through to Revelation and find many references to some being blessed because they were obedient to His voice.

What was the one thing that you know for sure was lost due to Adam's sin? The relationship between God and Adam. Adam after his sin would work long hard days working the land that had up until then supplied all their needs.

Jesus came and the Jews did not realize who He was because, as so many are doing today, they were looking for the Christ in the physical, not the spiritual.

Today, many go from church to church seeking religious goose bumps, and do not stay in any one church until they find them. They are caught up in the flesh and religion and are missing Christ all together.

The teaching of God testing us is based mostly on one verse:

Job 1

8. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

And if any who have taught or teach it would look it up and read what it says in Hebrew would realize they are wrong.

Job 1:8 read literally from Hebrew to English would read:

8. And said Yahweh to Satan, Have you set your heart| on My servant Job? For not is {any} like him in the earth, a man perfect and upright, revering God and turning away from evil.

This changes the meaning of the verse, or does it? In 1612 AD when the King James was translated they read it as a question, not a statement.

And for some reason there are words I have found starting as early as Genesis chapter 1 that had been translated incorrectly.

Genesis 1

28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

About 30 or 40 years ago, a well-known radio and television Christian teacher taught that the reason the word "replenish" was there in verse 28 was that God had kicked Satan out of Heaven in the beginning. And when Satan hit the earth he destroyed all, including the people, so now Adam and Eve had to replenish what Satan had destroyed.

In 1993 I tried pointing this out, saying that the word in Hebrew was "filled" not "replenish," and that the translators had used the wrong word. I was told to leave it alone and forget it.

What must have happened is that when the person in question read the verse, instead of looking it up to find out if it was the correct word or not, just assumed that it was. So, then he had to find out why Adam and Eve had to replenish the earth and, in the process, came up with an entirely new teaching that changed some of older teachings in order to make it work. That made the earlier teachings confusing which should have been a clue that he was wrong.

As with mankind in general, since this man was regarded highly by others, no one would question him, instead, they believing him and teaching it as well. Here is why Jesus in Matthew 7 warned against false teachings, and in other areas warned that false teachers would appear to be of Him.

28. And blessed them God, and said to them God, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and it subdue. And rule over fish of the ocean, and over of birds the heavens and over all animals crawling on the earth.

To look up and read from the Strong's concordance to read for yourself what the word is and means look up Strong's Ref. # 4390 the word in Hebrew is (Romanized) male', Pronounced maw-lay'.

It means or mala' (Esth.7v5) {maw-law'}; a primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively):

My point is that there are many words that were translated incorrectly and that without reading the Bible in Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New Testament it is hard for us to know what is and what is not. This proves even more the need to hear from God, so we can verify that what we are reading is true and was translated correctly.

Before you call me names for stating that the Bible in English is not correct, remember God never said translate, He just said write it and they did.

From the doom and gloom teachings, to the translation errors in the English what has been missed due to both, and other problems, is that God is love and all He is about is love.

John 14

13. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

What Commandments? To love God first, and with all our being, and to love all others as we love ourselves.

Matthew 28

19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Go therefore and teach all nations. Teach them what? Teach all He said and taught you through the Holy Ghost.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Teaching the love of God for man, and how we are to love God first and to love each other as we love ourselves.

Immersing them in the name, what name? Jesus, the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, immersing them in the knowledge of the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

Because no one can be saved unless first he or she goes through the Son.

John 14

6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Matthew 28

20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Teaching them to observe all things He commanded:

What did He command?

  1. To love God with all of our being and have nothing or no one before Him.
  2. To love all as we love ourselves.
  3. That those who confess Jesus and believe, have no other before God, and love are of God and in God and God is in them.
  4. That as He was in God and God was in Him, He and God are in us and we are in them.
  5. That we are not to judge, but to forgive all. If anyone asks us to walk with them a mile walk two miles, if they ask for our cloak give them two cloaks, if anyone hits us turn and give them the other cheek as well. This is how those who love all as they love themselves should act.

John 14

16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Why is it that so many cannot believe even the words of Jesus when it comes to the Spirit? He said He would send us the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit would be with us forever and that through the Holy Spirit He would come as well.

John 14

19. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

It is easier to see how they would not know then what He meant, but for any today not to see it just blows me away. Of course, He will come to us in the Spirit, light, and that others will not see Him.

John 8

59. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Just as those above did not see Him as He passed by them.

John 14

23. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

25. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Light is the love of God, the good life in God, it is His power and it can never be overtaken by the dark. But it is in the light we must be to be of Him.

John 8

12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The light is where you find God, Jesus and the Spirit, but the light is not like any light we know it is not that of the moon, sun and stars that God created on day four in Genesis 1:14. It is not the light man created, but it is the light which is of God, the light that God anointed Jesus in the beginning (Genesis 1:3-5) to be as the salvation of man. And, no, I am not saying that God created Jesus then, just that God anointed Jesus to be the light of mankind.

John 1

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Darkness can not comprehend the light because the light is good and the darkness is evil, and evil can never comprehend good.

Ephesians 3

17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Some areas where mankind has lost the truth due to traditions and rituals of religion:

John 4

24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The only way to worship God is in the spirit and in truth.

John 15

26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Truth is found in the Spirit, the Spirit is in the light, and the spirit is the connection to God we lost when Adam sinned.

The Two Commandments that all of the Law and prophets rest on that Jesus commanded us to follow.

  1. To love God with all our heart, mind and soul that He is first and foremost in and to us.
  2. To love our neighbor as ourselves and that our neighbor is any and all who lived on the earth.

What has to be if we are of the Lord and following the two above.

  1. Forgive all. It is better to forgive than not and then be cut off from God. God does not cut us off from Him. Our unforgiving others cuts us off from Him. If we love all as we love ourselves then we will forgive all. (Matthew 6:14-15)
  2. Judge not. Do not allow any words or any thoughts of judging, condemning, pre-judging, etc. If we love all as we love ourselves we will not judge anyone.
  3. Have faith in God (Mark 11:22). Without faith we can not be saved, we are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8). Faith is what will carry us through hard and bad times, it will heal us, it will connect us to God.

For all of the above the commandments to be in us and for us to follow are for us to forgive, not judge and have faith we must have a relationship with God.
