Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Investing Our Time

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

This study was written via the Holy Spirit by one of our own who just recently has started hearing from the Lord directly. I am posting this study for two reasons. One is to show others they can hear, too. The second reason is it is basic. I was going to add to it but decided the message is the same and does not need any additions.

Pastor Jerry Wilhite

I have a question for you to think about. Where do you invest your time? Think about this past week, month, or even year. What have you done with your time? Take a piece of paper and write down where you invest your time.

Where you invest your time could be in anything. Let’s take for example TV. Most people watch some or a large amount of TV. If you were to spend 2 hours a day watching TV this would be 14 hrs a week and possible 56 hrs a month more or less depending on how much you watch.

When trouble come in your life are you going to be able do depend on the TV you watch to help you out with your situation? You need to invest your time into something that will give you a return and a benefit in your life.

2 Cor 9:6

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

The following are some ways to make a good investment.

Reading the Bible

When you read the Bible don’t just try to read the Bible to memorize it, but read and take those principles in the Bible and apply them into your life.

James 1:22-25

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Prayer

Matthew 6:5-8

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Listening to God

Psalms 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God.

This next statement was from Pastor Jerry Wilhite it has changed my life and my walk with the Lord.

"The best thing you can do, is take 30 minutes a day (at the min) and find a place free of distractions that is quite and sit and listen for the voice of God. Ask Him once to help you hear Him. Not just through His word, but actually hear His voice. Do this daily (no breaks) until you hear from Him then ask one question "Did Jesus come in the flesh?" If you hear the response you get is "no", then tell Satan to go to Hell. But, if you hear "yes", just be obedient to what you hear.
This can take some time, it must be done daily, but if you really want what you prayed for, this is the best way to get it."

You will get a return on that time invested that will help you through life.

We are stewards of what God has given us. That does not only mean our money or our possessions, but also our time that God has given us to use. If you were to invest your money would you invest it in a bank that would give you 50% interest on the money you have deposited or would you invest in a company that is going to sell swimming pools in Alaska? We all need to sit down and think about where we invest our time. Think about moving your investment to a place that will give you a greater return.

Reading the Bible, Prayer and listening to God will give you an eternal value and a return on your investment that is priceless.
