Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

There is No Greater Loss Than...

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Before you start take time and get your mind at ease and free of stress and anxiety. These are things Satan will use to make you read this study as he wants you to read it. Read it for yourself, free of any support from Satan, and if you hear from God verify every word before you take it to heart as truth or not.

There seems to be no greater loss than that of a loved one. The loss of a house, car, or even a job can not come close to the grief that the loss of a loved one can bring. Not even death or separation such as divorce, or being told someone no longer loves you when the fire of love burns hottest in you compares to the loss of a loved one.

But I tell you now there is a greater loss than all others and that is of one's soul for whatever reason. No, I do not mean just in the next life, going to Hell instead of spending eternal life with God, but here and now. When one loses their soul one loses it all, home, cars, jobs and love.

Even though the greatest miracle of all is life itself, an even greater miracle is in our own soul. It is waging war daily. For some it is less, while others experience more victory over other forces. Some may wage a war of addictions such as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, food, pornography, or even work. Yes, these are all addictions and to the person who has it none other seems greater than the one the person is fighting.

Even with all these bMattles going on there should be another. This other I speak of most, if not all, are losing daily and do not even realize it. This other bMattle is for our very own soul and it is fought in the soul as well. Paul refers to it in II Corinthians 10:5 and I speak of it often, but I hope this time I can break it down in such a way that we can all understand it better to bMattle it and eventually win. If we do not start realizing this is true and real and start entering the bMattle to take back our souls, what we lose is worse than any addiction can ever do to us. It is worse than hunger, loss of a loved one, or death itself.

I know that to some this may seem very melodramatic so far, but I am not being melodramatic and I am not overstating the problem or bMattle ahead.

2 Corinthians 10:
1. Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
2. But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Until the day comes that we wake up and realize just how Satan is manipulating us and do something about it we will be nothing less than tools of Satan, even the best of us. I know this sounds radical to some of you, but read the fifth verse above again. We are to cast down imaginations. Imaginations are all thoughts and things we imagine that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.

Think about it. What has been happening over the past century at least? More and more believe in aliens, alien abductions, evolution, and fewer and fewer believe in creation and God. More people today actually believe in ET than in God. I know polls show 82% of US citizens claim to be Christian, but then polls show less than 25% Mattend church on a regular basis. Maybe, and I emphasize maybe, 1 out of 10 can tell you what being a Christian is and what the word means.

Christian is to be Christ like and/or followers of Christ. It was first coined in Antioch.

Acts 11
26. And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Strong's Ref. # 5546

Romanized Christianos
Pronounced khris-tee-an-os'

from GSN5547; a Christian, i.e. follower of Christ:

KJV--Christian.

But what does Christ mean?

Strong's Ref. # 5547

Romanized Christos
Pronounced khris-tos'

from GSN5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:

KJV--Christ.

In Hebrew it means Messiah, in Greek it is Christos but the true meaning of Christ is anointed. The Jews knew what anointed or Christ meant; Isaiah had mentioned it in:

Isaiah 10:27:
27. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

They knew when the anointing or the Christ came that their burdens would be taken away and the yoke destroyed. Burdens are things that can be removed like a small debt or car problems. A yoke would be much more like a disease that threatens a life or debt that is for all time. So, from the smallest to the largest of things the power of the anointing of God, the Christ would save them from these problems, but the largest problem they could not see because they were blind, not physically but spiritually. Spiritually we have a larger yoke than any in the physical ones which were damning us to an eternal life of torment. Jesus came as the Christ to destroy that yoke once and for all and all anyone had to do was believe.

The Christ is the anointing of God on us, in us, and all the way through us to a point that we are dripping the Spirit of God. As a sponge anointed with water does when it is saturated with water, that is how we will be with God when we are fully of Christ.

Luke 4
18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus is the Christ; Christ is the anointing; Jesus said He was anointed with the Spirit of the Lord. So, to be of Christ is to be of the Spirit of God, not just in us as it is when we are saved, but saturated with the Spirit as only the anointing can do.

So why have not others become saturated? Because most believe when they are saved they are of the church and of Christ and now all that is left is to read the Bible, pray, Mattend church, tithe and live a life as sin free as possible.

What if I told you we can live life free of sin? Before you call to have me locked away look at scripture.

John 5
14. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

John 8
11. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more

Jesus would not tell anyone to do anything they could not. Think about this - He said this to people of the law before grace. So, how much more should we be able to do this than even they?

Now before you think I am talking about an impossible life to live, understand this - all you know you learned from a man or woman and they in turn learned the same way all the way back to the first one who taught. But the truth is that we are not to learn from men or women but from God and God only.

Before I show you this, lets learn what the spirit is?

John 4
23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is a Spirit, so when we talk about the Spirit, Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit we are talking about God; they are one and the same.

The center of all the soul of you and me and of God is the mind, will, and emotions. The spirit is the power and it goes forth to all places where the physical body is unable to go.

John 14
26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

So, based on Jesus own words, we are to be taught all things, not just those of God, but all by God and God only.

What is the Bible? It is the breathed word of God for us to read. It’s there to guide us until we hear from God.

Does that mean it is not correct, incomplete or some will change when we hear from God? No not all, but like all books it can be interpreted many ways and has been. That is why there are so many different beliefs even in Christianity.

Here is a way to better understand; two people read a book and afterwards talk about what it means. They disagree so much that they no longer talk to each other. Then one day they meet the person who wrote the book. They ask this person what it truly meant and which of them is right. They find out that they both were wrong and missed the entire point of the book. Of course they then return to being friends.

Satan understands us better than we understand ourselves and he knows how to use us against ourselves and others.

Hosea 4
6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Before you get the idea that the reference above to priests lets you off the hook, read Revelation 1:6

y people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Now what did I start with, cast down all imaginations (thoughts and ideas) that do not align with the knowledge of God. Satan has used this to his advantage and to divide us from God and the truth.

So why do not others teach this? Some do and others are afraid if they teach that we are to be taught by God, they will lose their congregation. Then some just do not know any better. Look at what the word states about both of these:

Luke 23
34. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Matthew 23
13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Now, do you really believe church and church leaders today are that much different than they were then? Not all of course, there are some great churches and church leaders; that is why we need God's guidance more than ever to discern who is and who is not so we can avoid those who are not.

2000 years ago they Mattended church once and sometimes twice a week, it was a day that was for rest. The people offered their resources and gave their tithes and offerings. Doesn’t that sound similar to today?

Remember, above, I said they were blind and could not see because they did not have spiritual eyes? The same can be said for today. Everyone is seeking in the physical for physical’s sake and forsaking the spiritual where it matters most.

I hear from people all the time who want a quick fix now; they want a miracle from God. When I ask, “When did you turn to God for help?” it never fails, turning to God was their last effort not first. If I ask, “How much time do you give to God?” they respond with, “Very little if any, but if I get the help I will.” Those I have seen that get the help in time fall back on their promise, but I bet you if things go bad again they expect God to honor His promises even when they failed theirs.

What is faith?

Hebrews 11
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is believing without doubt. Hope in the Bible is expectancy, so in Hebrews 11:1 it is saying:
Faith always “now” and it is the substance or the solid physical item or thing expected and the proof of what is expected even though you can not see it yet.

Examples of what faith can do:

Mark 11
22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Faith can move mountains, raise the dead, heal the sick, repair relationships and the broken heart. There is no limit to faith other than that which we place on it. The same is for Satan - he has no power other than what we give him.

We are saved by grace through faith, so without faith we can not even be saved.

How does faith come?

Romans 10
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing, not reading, not listening to a man or woman, but by the word of God, Jesus.

John 1
14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The word became flesh and dwelt among us. So how is Jesus going to teach us since He is not here in the flesh at this point in time?

John 14
26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

To hear we need to listen to listen. We need to get our thoughts in order so we can. Remember I said the only power Satan has is that which we give him? Well in II Corinthians 10:5 we are told to cast down imaginations (thoughts). This means that there are thoughts which are not ours. I will go one step further - we have never had an original thought. Every thought we have or will have has been thought before by others. Our thoughts come from one of two places, God, who is a gentleman waiting at the door for us to open it (we must seek His thoughts), or Satan who is constantly forcing his thoughts on us.

Satan will place a thought that we could eventually speak and from that will come problems. Understand this - most people accept any thought they have being their own. Most people do not know any better and can not even conceive that it comes from an external source. They think that if they thought it they must act on it (usually by speaking about it first). This may very well explain the violence, crime, hate, etc in our world today. It takes time for some thoughts to be manifested in a physical way, but it usually starts with expressing the thought verbally.

I have actually heard someone say, “Well, like my mother always says, if you‘re thinking it you might as well just go ahead and say it.” I imediately put in my two cents worth and said, “I must beg to differ. Every thought does not have to be spoken, just as every truth does not have to be expressed verbally.” I got a few “Amens” for that.

Let us look at something a little less obvious. I state something that seems totally harmless but another reacts as if I just kicked them and I can not comprehend their reaction. That is because Satan knows our “buttons”. He will give us the words to say that seem harmless enough, but push another's buttons. I am sure some, if not a lot, of you can relate to what I just said. You have had a conversation with someone that went bad and for the life of you, you can not figure out why.

How about a stray thought that you wonder "where did that come from"?

How many, in a weakened stated due to a break up with someone they loved, get that stray thought and at first ignore it but over time it takes root and in time becomes an action. Maybe to strike back and hurt the person that hurt them, even to the extreme of killing or injury of some kind.

Did you know unforgiveness is the largest single source of fuel for a thought like this to ignite and become an action? If you think about it, I believe you will see what I am saying.

God did not add forgiveness as a way to torment us. In Mark 11:25-26 it states that if we do not forgive we can not be forgiven. If we are not forgiven then we are not saved, because salvation is forgiveness. Satan knows this and uses it to divide us from each other and God.

Matthew 12
25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

A person's child is raped and murdered, the parent then wants revenge and can not forgive. That’s normal right? Wrong, that is not how we were designed and it is only because of Satan that we can not forgive. Think about this; the parent even at the most can only get revenge. They can never bring the child back, unless of course they are operating in faith. But with un-forgiveness forget faith; it is gone.

Let's say they do not forgive, but do nothing to the person. It eats them up inside and they get bitter and in time they have trouble forgiving anything or anyone. Then they die and go to Hell, but that child is with God, so now they are separated for eternity and in torment worse than ever before. PLUS, if that person who comitted the act asks God for forgiveness and believes in Jesus, they spend eternity with God as well. So whom did the non-forgiveness serve, the parent, child, God, or Satan?

If we forgive, we turn it over to God and He handles it. If the person who did the evil deed never asks for forgiveness and accepts Jesus as Lord, they will receive worse than we could ever imagine, but the parent and child are reunited in the next life for all eternity. Also, here and now the forgiveness will remove a weight and bring peace like never imagined. For some this may take time because true forgiveness is not always instantaneous.

Matthew 7
1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Why do you think Jesus said, “Judge not“? In John 3:17 it states that He came not to condemn (judge) but to save? When we do not judge we have nothing to be forgiven and then non-forgiveness does not become an issue.

When you realize that the person who comitted such a terrible act did not do it on their own, but as a puppet of Satan, then you realize it was not the person you should be mad at but Satan.

Luke 23
34. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

“Forgive them for they know not what they do.” Do you realize who He is talking about? These are the people who, for more than 12 hours, abused Him, drove stakes into His hands and feet, had him publicly crucified, took His robe and gambled for it. What did He do to them? Nothing, but He still says, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.”

You say, “He is Jesus and I am just a human.” Remember that He was just a man as well. If He had been anything else we could not be saved by his blood. He had to suffer for us and pay the price we owe, not Him. Yes, you and I owe it. Every time we sin we drive that nail into Him. He never sinned. He did not lead a rebellion against the Romans or the Hebrews. He talked about love, forgiveness, and not judging. So what was His sin; what act did He comit that would even warrant an arrest much less death?

He scared those in power. Convinced that they might lose their power, Satan prompted the leaders of the religion of the day and the people acted as the leaders prompted them to.

Mark 15
11. But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
12. And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
13. And they cried out again, Crucify him.

Remember this was during the Passover so most of Israel was in Jerusalem at this time. That meant the 4000 - 5000 men, plus women and children that He fed, and (don't forget) those He healed and spoke to that followed Him went from believing He was the Christ to yelling Crucify Him within a matter of days or even hours.

Do you really believe that those were actions based on their own thoughts? Or were they thoughts planted by Satan that the leaders just prompted to take action?

We are no different or better until we take back our soul. Yes our soul, the soul is the mind, will and emotions. Everything I have been talking about above was not the flesh or the spirit, but the soul.

We have been losing this bMattle too long. It is time we take back what is ours and grow as we should.

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Cast down imagination (thought) and every high thing that exalts itself against the KNOWLEDGE of God, meaning every thought needs to be analyzed and if it does not line up with God cast it down. Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, or make every thought line up with God, not just His word, but with Him. Verify with God every thought, everything we hear, read, and see.

This can only be done if we are and hearing from and listening to God.

Read Mark 4 the sower of the word and notice how again they can not see or hear because they do not have spiritual eyes or ears.

We need your help, we need your donations to support the word here to get the word out so others can learn the truth as well, and we need your prayers.

If you read Malachi 3:10-12 and then Mark 4:12-18 you will see where the tithe can and will increase your knowledge of the word and of God. The tithe is more than just giving 10% to a church, it is a way for God to have authority in your life over all that matters, your income, your growth, even relationships. It is your choice, but do not tithe until you understand the tithe and what it does for you and do it from the heart and not the head.
