Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

What are the Flesh, Soul and Spirit?
Part III of V

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

After reading this study you may think, Jerry has lost it, or is full of himself, etc.; but I have not lost it; if anything I am not of myself at all. I do not think as highly of myself as many do.

Before we start, we need to understand a few basic truths; truths we all believe we understand, but do we?

We are a body with a soul and a spirit. Practically all of us look at this as: a body with, not a soul with or a spirit with. However, it is: a body with a soul and a spirit. So, what is the big deal about what say or how we say it?

The big deal is always in the words, we are judged by every word that we speak. Our salvation is even based on words.

John 1

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

  1. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
  2. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

In John 1-5, we read that the Word was so important that nothing was done by God without it.

John 1

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The word became flesh. I have understood that God had to seed His Word into the earth to get a correction of what Adam did in the first sin.

So first, God chose a man and from this man would be the bloodline to bring forth the correction to the problem.

Genesis 12

1. Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

We all know that Abram or Abraham, as was to become known by all, was 75 when he left home.

Genesis 12

4. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Why was Abram 75 years old before God sent him forth? This was mainly because it took God 75 years to reach Abram. God was sowing before Abram's time, until all of the earth; but Abram was the only one who listened. Yet, it still took God 75 years to reach through all the walls built up in Abram from the world. Consider this, Abram did not have television, movies, computers, games, music, as we have; and it still took 75 years.

How long then will it take God to reach you?

"Oh, He has already got me", you say. Really, are you sure? On the other hand, does religion based on religion of this world have you? Before you get offended, understand that these are questions I had to ask myself; the answer was not a good one for me. I was caught up in all the trappings of religion. I was religious…religious to my belief no matter how right or wrong it was…religious to television, movies, etc.

The one key in every single person throughout the Bible is: they heard from God. They did not hear from God via the Bible, as some did not have a Bible. They actually heard from God. That is where the key remains; until you actually dedicate the time and have the desire to hear, you are in the trappings of this world.

Abraham is considered the father of faith, yet it took God 75 years to motivate him.

Do not think that God would not have used him at 10, 20, or 30 if He could.

God is all-powerful; if He wanted to use Abraham before age 75 He could have used Him. Yes, God is all-powerful, but He gives us a choice…He does not force.

Satan is the one who forces.

Satan wants you to believe that, if you choose God, you will loose so much. You will loose so much of your freedom; things you do now you will not be able to do then. And who wants to be like that…holier than thou? It is a lie. Satan knows completely that when you know the truth, you are free for the first time. You finally realize just how trapped you have been by the flesh, the world, and Satan. Satan is smart and cunning. He knows what works, and what does not work, to keep us in line. Since God is a gentleman and will not force Himself on us, Satan does and takes full advantage of the situation.

So why does God not do something about it? He does, but as so many children, we do not listen. Think of the conduct of many teen-agers. They think they know more than their parents; and their parents are old fuddy-duddies. These teens seem to listen but do not hear a word we say. We are those teens but 10 times worse. We do not even listen.

You say you read His word, but do you. Do you read it, or go through the appearance of reading it.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

If you read His word, why do you not understand the above verse?

Teach you all things, not just the word but...all things.

When was the last time you heard the Spirit speak to you?

1 John 2

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Then in the above verse where it states it even clearer, why do you allow man to teach you? Why do you have to have anything taught to you of man? Do you not know God knows all, and He is the one and only teacher? I did not. It took me almost 50 years to learn this, and now I know everything in my life led me to this point.

We are taught of and by the world, and who is in control of the world? Satan is. No matter what way you spin it, or try to justify it, the world system and the world itself is under Satan… not God. I mean - really look at the U.S., where is God in it today?

If God is being removed from the U.S., where do you think He is? Is He anywhere else?

No, I do not mean that the U.S. is some special country more so than others are. Moreover, the fact is it originally was founded, or at least developed, by men of God; or at least men with hearts for God. Then, there are countries devoid of God in any form. Some make it against the law to even teach of God.

So how could God be kicked out of His own creation?

Genesis 1

28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God gave mankind dominion over everything of the earth, and then mankind chose Satan over God.

When Adam sinned, he was disobeying God and siding with Satan. In doing this Adam was giving Satan authority on the earth, which he did not have. From that moment on Satan took full authority and did all he could to prevent us from changing.

Who taught you 2+2=4…a man or woman, right?

Who taught them this…a man or woman?

Who was it that decided that 2+2=4 not 2+2=5 or 2+2=6?

All of this is based on what was set up in the beginning to matter.

All that truly mattered was our relationship with God; and not our relationship with the world.

God gave us a body in which to develop. God had to have a way for our soul to mature and be able to be on the level of the spirit so we could be one. The body was the perfect solution for our soul to be in, with the spirit. In time, our soul would mature and our soul and spirit would unite. We are no more than a bunch of spoiled children in a sandbox fighting over nothing. This life only matters for one thing. That is: our maturing to the level that our soul and spirit are united.

Acts 2

1. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

There are two sides to every verse in the Bible, a physical, which we are; and a spiritual, which God is. In Acts 2:1, the physical is obvious; they are all in one physical location (place). However, the spiritual is not the same; they are all one accord; soul and spirit.

When the soul and spirit are one, truly one as God meant them to be; then miracles do happen. Wonders will happen as Jesus said we would do; but not as long as our soul and spirit are divided.

Matthew 12

25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

All the body was meant for was this earth, and to carry our soul and spirit as one in. The earth was created for mankind; not the other way round. Heaven, in turn, is for the angelic. We can each visit the other; but they are two separate and different places. One is physical with spiritual, and the other is spiritual where physical can visit.

We, however, do not die and become angels. I know that some parents, who have lost their children and think they are angels, are now going to be offended; but the truth is the truth. Angels and mankind are as different as dogs and cats. Why dogs and cats?

As humans, we have the idea of dogs and cats being domestic creatures with which we can get along; nor without which we cannot. I do not mean as pets. Each, mankind and angelic, has its purpose; and each has free will. If this were not true, then Satan and one third of the angels could not of fallen. They would still be serving God in heaven, and Adam and Eve would still be in the garden.

Here is some more proof that God considers us above the angels and why it had to be us, who let sin enter the earth, not the angels.

Heb 1:11-14 (KJV)

11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

13 But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

God created the earth and the heaven. We know it was not the heaven we see; since that started in day 2. Therefore, it was the heaven for the angels. The angels are of heaven, we are created for the earth; or I should say the earth was created for us.

God created the angels and man. Man fell from grace. Knowledge of evil filled man, and it was not long until this evil grew. By Genesis 6, or about 1,000+ years, the evil was so strong God repented of His creation. But, He found one, Noah, and through Noah a new beginning and salvation of mankind was at hand.

We will never, nor were ever meant to, evolve to being more than we are. We are meant to be of a physical body, maybe not the one we are in now. You need to understand the battle for the physical that took place and what it means today. Therefore, I am going off on a small tangent here to help you to better understand.

"The Plan of God"

In the pages to follow, I will show that from the very beginning God knew we would rebel. He set up all that would be needed to help us overcome this world. In addition, I will show that like any parent, God could have said, "No, they will be too much trouble, too rebellious, to even create". As with all parents, we run the risk of a child being sick, rebellious, or even dying before us; but that does not stop us from having children. If you looked at all that could go wrong, you might never have children (if you have no love for children). Nevertheless, those who have love for children take the chance they will turn out ok. God was the same way. He preferred companions of free will and possibly rebellious to be His children rather than robots, mindless beings.

First, you need to understand that God created the heaven and the earth at the same time; and that angels were not a sub class of humans, but are totally different. Although angels can appear as humans, they are different. The earth was only created for mankind. It was never created for angels, animals, or plants. It and everything on it was created for mankind.

Gen 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In Hebrews we read:

Heb 2:5-18 (KJV)

5 For unto the angels hath He not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

11 For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee.

13 And again, I will put my trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Christ shared man's mortal nature that, by His dying, men might be freed from death

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

16 For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted.

Genesis 1 & 2

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Now there are three ways to look at the above verse.

  1. That Satan was cast down, and the earth was destroyed.
  2. Mankind, that which the earth was meant, was not with form (yet)
  3. That out of the unformed, void, darkness of the earth, man would come.

I believe that from the studies of many scholars of Greek and Hebrew that Gen 1:1 - 1:5 there is an outline of the Bible. It was God setting the plan and getting everything in place for our salvation.

The earth was formed for man, and only man. Therefore, that which was without form was man, and that which was void was man after sin; when the spiritual connection between Adam and God was gone. That which was darkness upon the face of the deep was evil in the depths of mankind. What does the Holy Spirit hovering over the waters mean? Since we are mostly water, the Holy Spirit hovered over us for many centuries.

Why not destruction from Satan being cast down? One reason: destruction comes from sin, not before, but as an aftermath of sin; and sin had not entered the earth yet. If the earth was created for mankind, then only mankind could allow sin to enter. Think about this, even Jesus had to enter as a man to make a difference. If this were the case for Jesus, why would it be any different for Satan? In addition, if destruction comes from sin, and sin did not enter until day 7, then on day 1 or before there could not have been sin. If Satan could bring any change, sin, or destruction to the earth, why did he need to get Adam to sin? If Satan could do these things, then sin would have already been running rampant through the earth by the time Adam arrived.

Luke 10:18 (KJV)

18. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The word "beheld" is more of a perception of what is to come; seeing the future and talking about it, as is with PREDESTINATION. For more on predestination refer to bottom of this study.

To help you even more, some say that Satan was cast down in the beginning; but we are told that when he is cast down he knows his time is short. Now consider that in the beginning Satan would not have known time was short. That reference did not come about until the New Testament. Therefore, if he knew his time was short, it had to be New Testament times. God would not share His plans with Satan, so until the New Testament was written, Satan had no idea he had a short time. So, if he was not cast down at the beginning, then it must be during the last 3.5 years of tribulation. That would give him an idea time is short. Paul said there were three heavens. The one he went to was the third; the one we see is the first; so, the second must be where Satan is accusing us day and night. Also remember Satan is not omnipresent like God; he can only be in one place at one time. If he is accusing us day and night, how could he be here?

Creation of the light

Genesis 1:3

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

We know that the light mentioned in Vs 3 is not the light of God, for He is light. It is not artificial light and it is not the light of the sun, moon or stars, since they were not created until day 4:

Gen 1:14-19 (KJV)

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

But the light is our salvation; it is Jesus being anointed as the light.

John 1:4-5 (KJV)

4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Gen 1:4-5 (KJV)

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Here God sets His word up to separate evil from good, saved from not saved.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Here is Judgment day, the separating of the sheep from the goats.

Gen 1:28 (KJV)

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In verse 28, man had dominion over all the earth and all that is in it; so only by man could sin and its ramifications enter the earth. In Hebrew, there is no punctuation, asit reads as one long sentence. To make it readable for us, words were added and so was punctuation. In all but the King James Version, I have found words (many important words) dropped. In the King James Version, I found words added to make a point to help the reader understand a language that is very graphic.

Some people are hung up on the space between the lines of verses one and two in Genesis. This is because later it says God told mankind to "replenish" the earth.

Gen 1

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,

They take the word "replenish" literally in the sense that we know it in the 20th century; as if the earth had become empty and needed to be RE-filled. This is not the case. If you look into the Hebrew definition of the word translated as "replenish":

4390. male', maw-lay'; or mala' (Esth. 7 : 5), maw-law'; a prim. root, to fill or (intrans.) be full of, in a wide application (lit. and fig.):--accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) fully (-ly, -ly set, tale), [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a [hand-] full, + have wholly.

Replenish is but a small part of the meaning of the word "male'". I get the sense that the earth needed mankind to make it complete.

Rev 12:10-12 (KJV)

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

If Satan were cast down early on, then why the celebration of one, who accused the brethren, being cast down. If he were cast down in Genesis 1:2, he could no longer be in heaven to accuse the brethren. Therefore, it must be later that he is cast down. It is stated that his time is short; perhaps this happens during the last 3.5 years of tribulation. We know that he is there and rules; and that is a short time. Later I will get into this more.

Job 1:6-8 (KJV)

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 8 is a perfect example of the problems that occur if one is reading the King James without the understanding of the Holy Spirit. It appears (in modern interpretation) that God is pointing out Job to Satan. In 1612 AD, when the KJV was written, the verse meant something more like "have you something in your heart against my servant Job?" not pointing out, but requesting what Satan was doing. If you re-read the verse, you can see how over 387 years ago it was perceived the same way.

Now, to get on to the main point of Genesis - sin. Adam was told in Genesis 2:17 not to eat of the fruit. Nothing was said about not touching, nor that anyone else could not eat…just him. At that time, he was the only human alive, as Eve was not yet created. Remember, Eve was created from Adam…Adam was the original.

Gen 2:15-17 (KJV)

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the LORD God comanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Notice in verse 3, that Eve added, either on her own or by what Adam told her, that she could not even touch it. That is not what God had said. That is why it is deadly to add to what God states, and why I always insist on people verifying everything with God.

Gen 3:1-4 (KJV)

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

She touches it, and as Satan stated, she did not die. Then she ate and nothing happened. However, it was not Eve that was forbidden to eat of that fruit; it was Adam He sees her eat and must have thought it was safe.

What happened here?

We have not changed. We still add to the word of God, or take it out of context, and use it for our own benefit.

I believe God was treating Adam the same as we treat our children in regards to matches. We tell children not to play with matches. We do not get rid of all matches worldwide because they serve a purpose. We wait until our children are old enough, and we teach them how to use matches. Until then, we tell them not touch or play with matches; but some do, and some get hurt. Adam was the same as a little child in this respect. He ate of what he was not yet ready to receive; and it hurt him (and us). How did that happen? It unleashed knowledge of evil into us long before he or we were mature enough handle it. Throughout the word, we are referred to as His (God's) children, not adults; even Jesus called Him Abba (Daddy). Most adults do not call their father "Daddy" in this fashion.

Gen 4:3-14 (KJV)

3. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Here we see sin growing. First, Cain was not right in his heart; otherwise, his offering would have been accepted. He then gets angry, and kills 25% of the earth's entire population! Notice the point he (Cain) makes about not being in God's presence any longer. Later (hundreds upon hundreds of years), Moses cannot look upon the face of God or he would die.

As we continue, watch how this changes.

We are born physically into this world; then, in this world, we are born again spiritually (John 3). Satan's attacks on us were also physical and spiritual, but in reverse. By way of sin Satan first cut us off from God, spiritually; and then physically.

Genesis 6:1-2 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Who are the sons of God? We were not yet called that; not until after Jesus.

The sons of God referred to above are angels.

Angels mating with humans is comparable to a dog mating with a wolf. What would happen if you crossed a dog with a wolf? It would be neither pure dog nor pure wolf any more, actually a perversion of what God created.

Genesis 6:3 (KJV)

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Here is the only time God refers to striving with man or a length of time in this fashion. We know the year of jubilee, or God's year, is every fifty years.

Lev 25:8-10 (KJV)

8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

So, 120 of God's years equals 50 times 120 or 6,000 years. This is the lease on the earth, that He was giving man.

Gen 6:1-12 (KJV)

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

{"Giants and men of renown" does not necessarily refer to physical stature here. It should be translated as men of great wisdom and ingenuity (technologically advanced).}

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

{As with Babel, the more men build big cities and develop technology and become dependant on each other, the less they are dependent on God; and the more doubt that He "is" enters. Remember this is all His.}

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

{Noah finds grace]

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

{"Perfect in his generation" - We know that is not a spiritual reference, since due to sin the spiritual connection was gone. Therefore, it was physical. Now look at the age of Noah. He was born at the beginning of the time when angels and women mated; so to be "perfect" means that none of his ancestors was a product of these perverted unions}

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted His way upon the earth.

As we become more intelligent (not intelligent in God and His ways) in the ways of the world and technology, the more evil, violence, and perversion grow.

Intellect is the problem. Intellect of this world dictates that there is no God, and that belief in God is a crutch for the weak. That is the purpose of intellect…to keep us from God. Who do you think is most responsible for developing the world intellect? If you said "Satan", you would be right. Learning the basics - reading, writing and math, sometimes called the three r's, is ok. If you can master the above, you are not necessarily an intellectual. An intellectual is one who is a thinker, who has been educated in our universities. In addition, intellectuals have long lines of alphabet (letters) after their last name.

You see, imagination is not the problem; but vain imagination is.

Romans 1

21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

2 Corinthians 10

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Strong's Ref. # 3053

Romanized logismos

Pronounced log-is-mos'

from GSN3049; computation, i.e. (figuratively) reasoning (conscience, conceit):

KJV--imagination, thought.

You see I had always read verse 21 as thoughts only; it is thoughts, but imagination as well. I forget that our language inhibits us in our understanding of the word. It does this because it is not a true language. The English we speak here in the U.S is not the same as in England, or as it was 400 years ago when the King James was translated.

The difference today between the U.S. and U.K. can be better understood by the following examples:

- U.K. the word "Post" means mail

- U.K. the word "Lift" means elevator

- U.K. the word "Solicitor" means attorney

There are many more, but as you can see, depending on whether you are from the U.S or the U.K., your interpretation of a conversation could produce two different meanings. Here are examples:

The person speaking is from the U.S, but someone from the U.K. could think we have attorneys going door-to-door. Of course, we do not allow that practice. The second example could be construed as our getting to work by way of an elevator. That must mean the person lives in the building in which he/she works, and the elevator operator is a friend. Can you see the difference?

Even the subtlest of differences in language can start wars. Have you ever had a fight with someone over a word or two? You stated something, which was taken the wrong way. No matter what you said, it just fueled the others anger. Words have more than just meaning…they have power.

Compared to Greek, our English language leaves a lot to be desired; this is more pronounced when it is compared to Hebrew. Both Greek and Hebrew are more in-depth languages; therefore, to understand the word of God you, need a better understanding of both. If you think that Jerry is speaking contrary to his coments above about "intellect", he is not. Understanding a language or words does not make you an intellectual. What truly makes one intellectual is the education, the higher degree of education and being a thinker. His statements comparing Greek and Hebrew to English are not examples of intellectualism…at least we hope not.

An intellectual learns and then thinks, learns and then thinks. So, what is so wrong with that? It is what he or she learns and then thinks that is so bad. Learning mathematics, even getting a doctorate in math, does not make you intellectual; it makes you educated.

There is a big difference between intellectual and educated.

An intellectual is often a person, who does not believe in God. They seek proof of higher plains of everything on his/her own ability, on their intellect.

Earlier, I spoke about vain imaginations, and how I always saw it as thought. Not giving the time of day to it being imagination meant I limited my understanding of what Paul wrote. God wants us to protect our thoughts and our imaginations. Both can bring our downfall in both the physical and spiritual.

For those of you who think that they have the least understanding about life, better think again. Life starts in the womb, period. It does start there, no matter what mankind states.

In the womb, we are starting to develop both physical and soul. The spirit is already developed. We start our development in the womb with a "loaner" Spirit from God.

He lets us have a part of His Spirit. Through this life, we decide what will become of all three of our components -, our body, our soul, and the spirit that God loans us.

After birth, the body continues to grow, but now the soul is the focus; in the womb, the body was the focus. In the womb, it is all recreated - the heart, brain, etc. None of our physical development occurs outside of the womb; it just grows in size and mass on the outside. Of course, the body grows at a more accelerated rate once outside of the womb.

In addition, the soul starts its growth in the womb, but it does not fully develop there. For some this is a life long development…for a select few like Jesus, it is not.

We have many sources of growing outside of the womb. The body grows based on eating, exercise, and even knowledge. Knowledge that fire burns (i.e. you get close to a fire the body feels the heat and at a certain point stops getting any closer) keeps the body from being burned. Some of this is the body and the brain reacting to the heat.

The soul develops from input much as a programed computer. We feed the brain (body) through reading, writing, and our five senses - hearing, seeing, touching, smelling, and tasting. The five senses are of this body and that is why we are limited. The soul, the mind, will, and emotions, cannot be discerned using our senses. If you were to cut a person open, you could see their physical heart, brain, and other organs. You can see neither the soul nor the spirit.

Who we truly are is a soul. Therefore, the most important thing to feed is the soul. We, however, have it backwards; to us, the most important thing to feed is the body. The body should be fed based on what the soul dictates…not what the body dictates. Nevertheless, many of us still eat based on the body dictates and not the soul. Proof of this is we do not always eat what we should, and some of us eat entirely wrong. The soul is not doing this; the flesh (body) is running the show. It is like a car driving a driver. The soul is fed by the input of this world, but it can also be fed by input of the spiritual as well. For the soul to develop as it was meant to develop, spiritual feeding is the way, period.

We should learn from the Bible that the Bible is not the end all. If anything, it is pointing the way to grow by the Holy Spirit.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 John 2

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

If at age 3, we started learning how to hear from God, and allow Him to teach us, we could be walking and living by faith and not by money.

Satan knew that if he could deprive us of all physical proof of God, then the rest would be easy. So first Satan got Adam to sin; this did two things:

Next, Satan had to do something to cut us off physically as well. He did this by perverting the flesh. Combining his fallen angels with mankind caused sin's introduction into the flesh; ego, the physical connection with God was broken. The spiritual and physical connections gone, mankind could only believe by faith; or not believe at all, which was Satan's goal in the first place.

God spent years talking and then one day one started hearing Him. Even then, it took the greater part of 75 years to get Abram to not just listen and hear but be obedient. God now had a bloodline to use. It took Him another few thousand years of sowing His word into the world through a man or woman here and there until one day, one would have the faith to agree with His word. Moreover, ones agreeing allowed His seed to enter the world to correct what went wrong.

Luke 1

38. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Then, Jesus paid the price for our sin; so, we could reunite with God spiritually.

However, Satan was up to his usual lies and deception. He started right away and one of the verses that proves he was effective very early on was:

1 Corinthians 1:11-13 (KJV)

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

{If you are honest and willing to be honest the next 3 verses will really speak to you}

1 Corinthians 1

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Lutheran; and I of Mormon; and I of enter the name of you church; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

So here is Satan in the first century church dividing and conquering us again. It has been almost 2000 years, and we wonder why there is so little development or growth in this world of God and His kingdom.

Understand, you control what is sowed into your body as well as your soul. Is starving the spiritual connection to God, while feeding the soul, based on this world? How many walls against God do you have? Think of how much television, movies, and things of this world you have fed your soul. Now you should start understanding just how many walls must come down just to hear from God; much less be taught of and by Him. If you dedicate your life to God, you do not loose a thing; if anything for the first time you will be truly free to choose.

Under Satan and in this world there is no freedom, no free will. You either do it the world's way or starve. God's way gives you so many choices, and truly delivers you of the bondage the chains of this world. Why do you reject this? Who do you think it is not real or true? Why think that the only way is the world's way?

Someone, who has been taught that the world is flat, will not believe otherwise until they see that the world is round, or they learn what it takes to understand it is round. Either way, it requires some form of input. If you think you possess all the necessary info needed to make the right decisions from this world, then you are a fool. Satan controls this world, and he will never allow you to know the truth. Oh yes, he will do all he can to make this world seem to be a better place; even help us learn what we need to place bandages over our wounds. However, they are never truly healed them, just covered up.

Satan will allow and even help develop any new technology, medicine, etc that will keep us in bondage to him.

Through God - we are healed, by His stripes you ARE healed.

Through the world, you get a band aide.

Through God - you are delivered of debt and lack.

Through the world, you are in debt and suffer from lack.

Through God - you will receive true peace, joy and Love.

Through the world you will know of peace, joy and love, but suffer with offense,

stride, hate, etc.

Do I need to go on? By now, if you do not see the point, I could write another 1000 pages and you still will not get it.

Start now by setting aside 30 minutes EVERY day to listen to and for the voice of God.

Find a place as free from distractions and as quiet as possible. Ask God to help you hear from Him. Then sit daily, not talking but listening. Do this daily until you hear His voice; then ask one question.

1 John 4:1-3 (KJV)

1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Remember this: those who yelled "crucify Him", referring to Jesus of course the day He was crucified were the same ones He healed, fed and rose from the dead. How can I say this? It was Passover, and the law required all to go to Jerusalem to partake in the Passover. All of Israel, or at the very least all who could, were there.

Three days later, the same people saw loved ones, friends, even well known leaders of Israel, who were dead, walking down the street professing Jesus as Lord

Matthew 27:52-53 (KJV)

52. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Why did many raise with Him? What do you think Jesus did in the grave for 3 days? He preached to those who had died; it only took a second to drop all the sin in hell and then He could not remain in Hell. So, He went across the gulf that divided paradise and hell and preached and all who believed rose and went into the city.

The following is not a parable, but a true story; notice Jesus says there was a certain rich man.

Luke 16: 19 -31 (KJV)

19. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28. For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

The point of the above, was that even after all in Jerusalem seeing the dead walk on the day of Pentecost (which is only 50 days later) when the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles. Only 3000 heard the message and accepted it. All heard, but even the dead did not get through all their walls they had from the world. They did not have television, movies, etc to develop even more walls.

Acts 2

41. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Think about all you have read. Meditate on the facts that you are fed by outside sources. Since you really have no idea of the person's beliefs or morals, which wrote what ever you watched or heard. So how do you know it is ok?

One last thing, since the advent of television, U.S. citizens have added more weight, collectively and individually than any time in history. Therefore, watching television, we do not really think and our body takes over. We see comercials for food, and then we eat and eat and eat. So as we feed our souls with God knows what, we are also making ourselves obese as well.

This is like fMatting the cow for the slaughter.
