Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Freedom - Part I of V

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Before reading this study please take some time and make sure you are at peace. You see, Satan knows our buttons, and he will use them against us; and as much as this study can bless, it can cause offense to those who are not prepared.

As I was writing this study, a woman let me have it about our prayer request rules. The rules are fine, but the way she read them they were offensive to her.

I am sure if she had read them at another time, she would not have been offended. She may be a very loving and caring person. However, if she were already offended by something at the time she read the rules, she could have read them incorrectly…thus adding to her offense. For that very reason, I ask everyone to be sure they are of the proper mind set before reading this study. If read then, this study can, be a huge blessing. However, if you are already offended about something else, you could read this study wrong, stop short in understanding some areas, and go away with wrong idea(s) from the study. Ergo, instead of blessing you, it could fuel your offense.

For 10+ years I have been listening to and for God's voice; I started hearing within the first 2 years, and every since been increasing.

But it was not until this past weekend it made the biggest difference in my life.

I know now, without a doubt, I am that new creature we read about.

2 Corinthians 5

17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Before you think "But, Jerry, we are all new creatures in Christ", remember in Christ is not the same as when you are saved.

So, before we continue, I will go over the difference one more time.

For more detail, refer to the bottom of this study "3 Steps".

When Jesus reveals Himself to us, we are saved via Jesus. This is salvation, and we have the Holy Spirit in us.

When God reveals to us who Jesus is as the Christ and true Son of God, we become a part of the church.

From this we grow into the body of Christ. And when the old is replaced with the new, we are of the body of Christ. Many will confuse this with salvation, and that is dangerous.

I cannot overemphasize the truth of how much Satan has deceived us, and how many of his lies we have accepted as the truth.

Remember, there are only two places thoughts come from…God or Satan.

Satan forces his thoughts on us, and we have to seek God's thoughts.

2 Corinthians 10

3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I spent 20 years in the kingdom as a man of God in the Methodist Church as a new Pastor. Then later in charge of Jewish evangelism for the Lutherans in Texas. During these 20 years, I believed, as most do as most are taught at and in church.

But, one day someone told me something - to shut up and listen to God. It at first seemed off the wall, and I ignored it. But then something struck me about this, and I started praying. I asked God if it were possible to hear from Him directly and to help me do so.

I do not mean as some do, via the word, but actually hearing His voice.

At the time people stated, it was ok to talk to God, as long as you did not hear from Him.

And the verses that got me going were:

1 Corinthians 3

19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Well, if the wisdom of the world is foolish to God, and the world said it is ok to talk to God as long as you did not hear from God. Well, that got me thinking that maybe we are suppose to hear from God.

Acts 2

4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

17. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

After reading the above verse I really started wondering about hearing from God.

1 John 2

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

It wasn't until the late 80's that we were hearing that Christ was not the title or last name of Jesus. But that Christ is Greek and in English means anoint(ed)(ing).

Now I have many verses telling me to listen to and hear from God. And two which went so far as to say that we are to be taught all things by God, not by man.

Notice ALL THINGS not just the word, but ALL THINGS. And also notice it states NOT BY MAN, but by the anointing (Holy Spirit).

Remember

Galatians 4

6. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Abba meaning daddy.

Romans 8

14. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

It was not until I heard God call me His child that I knew I was saved, I mean all doubt about my salvation and God was removed.

1 Corinthians 2

10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

The church has done such a good job of separating the Trinity that many have trouble remembering the Spirit and God are the same, God is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3

17. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

And why would we be told to ask anything if we were not to hear from God?

1 John 4

1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Understanding we are to hear from God, you must know that it is not just a need… But a requirement to grow.

How else will you know the depths of God if you do not know God first.

Many, and I mean many who say they are of Christ, know of God, but do not know God personally.

To actually know anyone you have to talk to them and HEAR from them, to actually LISTEN to them to know them.

And we are told we will know the depths of God.

Another area that helped me in this quest to hear from God was a verse I thought I understood.

Romans 10

  • So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
  • I then read the verse in the Literal:

    17.

    |0686| Then

    |4102| faith

    |9999| {is}

    |1537| of

    |0189| hearing,

    |3588| the

    |1161| and

    |0189| hearing

    |1223| through

    |4487| a word

    |2316| of Christ.

Now read it this way faith comes by hearing, and understanding (hearing) by Jesus via the Holy Spirit.

    John 1

    14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Since Jesus is the Word made flesh and Christ is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, then the only way to grow is from what we are taught by God both in actually hearing and in His word.

    Luke 4

    18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus was anointed with the Spirit of God, and if He is the Christ (Greek word meaning anointing) and he is anointed with the Spirit of God, then we are also anointed with the Spirit of God.

To better understand anoint, imagine a sponge dripping of water. The sponge is anointed with water, it has water in it, on it, and all the way through it.

A key to remember in the Bible is there are two sides the physical and the Spiritual.

Physically - we are born of woman in water. Remember hearing "her water has broke"?

Every person ever born lived for 9 months in a bag of water.

Then they took their first breath here after the water broke.

But to be of God we have to be born again of His Spirit.

When Jesus reveals Himself to us we then accept or reject His blood and are either saved or not.

And at that point we have God in us we are His temple. But we only have Him in us, not on and all the way through us.

Next, God will reveal to us who Jesus is as His Son and the Christ, but only if we are listening. And then we are at the first stages of being a part of the church.

    Church

    Matthew 16

    15. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

    16. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

    17. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

In verse 16 the name Peter in Greek is Petros. Petros means Peter, but mostly they both mean a "piece of the rock". The word rock is Petras or bedrock. In verse 15 Jesus tells Peter it was REVEALED knowledge of the Father about Who Jesus is as the Christ and Son of God that made him petros.

So, when God reveals to you Who Jesus is as the Christ and The Son of God you are then a piece of the rock or church.

Now you have gone two steps in your growth here, 1st salvation through Jesus, 2nd becoming a part of the church via revealed knowledge. Remember Hosea 4:6 God said His children are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. Are you starting to understand the importance of knowledge?

Here is a parable that Jesus used that will help you understand why so many do not make it past being saved.

    Mark 4

    10. And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

    11. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

    12. That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

    13. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

    14. The sower soweth the word.

    15. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh imediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

    16. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, imediately receive it with gladness;

    17. And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, imediately they are offended.

    18. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

    19. And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

    20. And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Why do you think there are so many different denominations and ministries?

There is a church today for everyone.

    1 Corinthians 1

    11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

    12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

    13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

This problem did not end in first century church, but exist today as well.

    1 Corinthians 1

    11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

    12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Methodist; and I of Baptist; and I of Catholic; and I of Christ.

    13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

In verse 12 change Methodist with what ever denomination or ministry name you belong to.

Martin Luther in the early 16th century read for the first time Romans and Hebrews. Until then, these two books were not read by any other than the very highest of the church… Not the priests and not the members. The members were not even allowed to read the Bible.

But when Luther read those two books he wrote to the Pope and called him an antichrist, not the antichrist, but an antichrist.

And the pope excomunicated Luther for this, and Luther began to teach others. When he died those who had listened broke into different groups, which later became different Synods of the Lutherans.

And, within 100 years the Baptist came into being; and then 100 years later the Methodist.

Why were there needs for different denominations?

First, understand that the word denomination means to "divide".

And what did Jesus say about division?

    Matthew 12

    25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

At this point some of you are thinking "Jerry you are judging and what does this all have to do with your growth and my growth?"

First of all I am not judging, I am stating facts; second it has everything to do with our growth and lack of it.

For us to grow we need to know the truth, and the truth is Satan is a lair, who has been around longer than the age of everyone you know put together. And if you think he does not already know what to do, when you do this or that, to keep you in line, think again.

Oh yes, Satan keeps us in line, he feeds us enough of the truth to keep us as lost as any.

If you have just enough of the truth as compared to a match in the dark then you can only see as far as the match illuminates. And that is not far at all, and that means there could be pitfalls with ever step we take.

But if the truth we have is a lighthouse, then we see further and further.

    John 15

    26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

The Spirit of truth: the idea is this we are lied to from our birth to our death. We are lied to in everything we see and do.

    Here are a few examples:

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me.

Or, how about telling our children that Santa Claus is real, and then when they grow up and realize it was not true, how can we expect them to believe in God who they can not see.

And do not be deceived as many have that Santa has been around for ever; he has not, he is very knew.

How about television, tel - a - vision, whose vision are we being told?

    Is television that safe?

Think about the shows, the news, the music and the movies, are they really that safe?

Or, are they filling us with more lies, violence, language and sex we do not need?

    And how about our children?

As I have listened to God and come to realize that I, or anyone else, have never had an original thought. That every thought we have ever had or will ever have has already been thought or will be thought by another. I realized that the only source for our thoughts are from one of two places God or Satan.

And when I read what Paul said: Cast down all vain imaginations or cast down all evil thoughts, it hit me I am not me, I am of the world. And, if I am not careful I will be of Satan.

Yes, we are in the world, but we are not to be of the world.

And before you get the idea we have no choice for our thoughts or that it is limited to God or Satan only, don't think that. The truth is the only way we can have free thoughts, have our own thoughts is if we have the thoughts of God.

You see Satan is like a rapist; he forces his thoughts on us.

We either cast them down or accept them as our own and make them our own.

How do we make a thought our own?

When we speak it and act on it.

Do not make the mistake to think that if they are of Satan they are apparent.

They will be deceptive; they can even appear to be of God, that is why Paul said

    2 Corinthians 10

    5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

There are two parts to this, first cast down all thoughts that are against the knowledge of God and the second part is bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

How can you really do either without the help of God, you have to be hearing from God on a regular basis to know which is of God and which is imitation of God.

For years I suffered under attacks from Satan of the worse kind.

Even with the knowledge that Satan forces his thoughts on us, I was still deceived about one thought I had. Believing for so long it was mine, when all along it was Satan using it to keep me in place.

In my life I have done a lot, put on stage plays with the cast of the original Star Trek television series, had a chain of stores, a computer software company, and more.

But everything it seemed I touched eventually failed, and I got the idea I could do nothing right, that I was the biggest failure ever.

That I had hurt, let down, and disappointed everyone I ever knew.

That through my failures I had damaged some so badly they could not survive.

It had me in such knots about what and whom I hurt and how big of a failure I was.

But you see Satan knows that some he can control better as failures where others he can only control when they are successful.

If a person does not take the time to listen to and hear from God and then with a diligence seek God daily and seek His guidance in everything. And keep listening until you cannot stop hearing from God. Then a person could fall into the trap or another type of trap as I did.

And, for the longest I tried to cast the thoughts down and not listen to them.

Then one day God finally got through to me, I did not fail, I did not let anyone down.

That person is not me, I am a new creature in God, and that other person was a puppet of Satan.

A chess piece being used (by Satan) to win a game he could never win.

And then when God got this through to me and I knew that was the truth and that I am not that person at all. Not even in the most remote way am I that person. Well, Satan can no longer use it against me. And in this area of the truth I was set free.

What I realize now is no failure, no abortion, nothing that is not of God can be in any way be contributed to God. It is only of Satan and Satan only.

And as Satan's puppet I cannot even be held responsible, of course without the blood of Jesus none of this can be. It was Satan who failed and let people down, not me, it was the old me that was a puppet not the new me,

You see I had read and spoken the following verse and always believed it. It was not until I was delivered of my past that I not only knew and understood this verse, but I knew it in a new light, a new way. In truth.

    2 Corinthians 5

    17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And there was another verse that came more to light after this, another verse I had read, spoken, taught and preached.

    Isaiah 10

    27. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

I now understand as never before the power of the anointing in delivering me from my past, in destroying the yoke and removing the burden.

Because I am now free, and it is not just this one thing in my past, but my entire past.

I now have a new future, I am a man with no past and only a future.

Be careful not to do as I have done. I had heard about being a new creature and believed I was, but I was not. Not until God revealed to me who I am, who I truly am. Not who Satan wants me to believe I am.

And if you do not heed my warning and truly seek God on this you may remain under a burden and never realize it until the next life.

I truly believe those who comit suicide do so due to thoughts Satan forces on them, not due to who they are, but who Satan makes them think they are.

    3 Steps to Life

As you understand that there are 3 elements to God - Father, Son, Spirit or Soul, Body, Spirit also understand that we have 3 elements as well, body, soul, and spirit. The number 3 in the Bible means unity.

    We go through 3 lives:

In the womb our universe is small - about the size of a basketball. In this life it seems that the universe is huge - it is so much larger than the last, but infinitely smaller than the next.

    Our life spans:

    Size of Our Universe

    Life -

    Outcome

1st Womb about the size of a basketball

    9 months

    Male or female

    2nd Present universe seems unlimited

    120 yrs

    Born again or not

3rd Next life with or without God

    Eternal

    Heaven or Hell

    Step 1 - Salvation

In this life, there are 3 steps as well, that is if we are born again.

    But what is born again?

    John 3

    3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

    4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

    5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

    6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

    7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

    8. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

    10. Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

    11. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

    12. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

    13. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

    14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

    15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

    16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

    18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So once you are born again, you are saved, but you are not of the church or the body of Christ yet.

Before you get your tail feathers ruffled over what I just said, take a moment open your mind and read what I have to show from scripture. Then take it to God and ask Him, if ever you hear anything that God says is not true do not walk away, but run away from the source of the lie. Do not try to change them by debate, email, etc, but take it to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to handle it. He is much more capable to do this than we, plus He will not make mistakes, but we can and in making a mistake we may push a person even further the wrong way.

So, before you do anything you MUST be hearing from God. Yes, that is right, YOU MUST be hearing from God. In the Old Testament there were men and women of God that the majority would go to, to learn the truth. Now we are ALL to be men and women of God.

    John 2

    21. But he spake of the temple of his body.

    I Corinthians 3

    16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

So, understand that when you are saved you have the Spirit of God in you (you are a temple of God) but you do not have the Spirit on, and through you yet.

The name Jesus in Hebrew means salvation, and through the name of Jesus, you are saved.

    Romans 10

    9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is necessary for all to grow and become solid in their salvation to the point nothing can ever take it from you or confuse you or make you doubt it.

    Romans 8

    16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

You can only hear this when you are hearing the voice of God. That comes from your taking the time to listen and hear His voice.

Now imagine if you wanted to learn to read and write but you did not want to invest any time in it. It just would not happen. How much more is the blessing that comes from knowing God on a one on one basis? From this one on one relationship with God you will be blessed with all the fruit of God.

    Galatians 5

    22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

    23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

    24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

    25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Jesus even said we would be known by the our fruit>

    Matthew 7

    20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

    21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

    22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

    23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So many take "faith without works is dead" as meaning they have to go out and work; but the actual truth is that when faith works IT goes out and works. When we do it, it is not faith, but us that is at work.

    Hebrews 11

    1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

    2. For by it the elders obtained a good report.

    3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4.By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Both offerings in appearance would have been good, but only one was of faith, something that only God could see.

    5. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

    6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

    How does faith come?

    Romans 10

    17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Now as you grow from the moment of your salvation to the revealed knowledge of Who Jesus is as the Christ and true Son of God, your growth is into being a part of the church.

A church is not buildings, or people, but individuals with personal relationships with God; a relationship that He reveals unto all and first who we are and who Jesus is.

    Romans 8

    16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

    Step 2 - Church

    Matthew 16

Step 3 - Body Of Christ

"Christ" is a Greek word that means "The Anointed One and His Anointing". Anointed means being rubbed in and on. Jesus told us that being anointed was having the Spirit of the Lord upon Him:

Another way to look at it is think of a dry sponge placed in a bowl of water. We would be the dry sponge and the anointing is the water.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the LORD {is} upon Me, Because He has

anointed Me To preach the good news (gospel) to {the} poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to {the} captives "

And in I Cor. 1:24 "but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, The Anointed One and His Anointing (Christ) the power of God and the wisdom of God." we are told that Christ, or the Anointed One and his Anointing is the power and wisdom of God.

In Is. 10:27 (KJV) we are told that the anointing removes burdens and destroys yokes. A yoke is anything that weighs you down, like sin, sickness, debt, etc...

All through the Old Testament times, the Jews were told of a coming of the Anointed, and how, when the Anointing came, it would bring yoke destroying, burden removing power. Remember what

I Cor. 1:24 says, "Christ (The Anointed) the power and wisdom of God." Who else could destroy yokes? God, of course! So, the Jews were looking for the Messiah, which is Hebrew for the "Anointed One". The Jews admit Jesus was a prophet and a teacher, and that He did great works; they just don't admit He was the Christ (the Anointed One).

So what do we know so far?

Christ (Greek) and Messiah (Hebrew) in English mean The Anointed One.

To anoint is to rub on and in, so Anointed is already rubbed in and on. The Spirit of God comes to us from and through His Spirit (Anointing). What it brings are the power and wisdom of God. So Jesus did what He did via the Holy Spirit because He was anointed (rubbed in and on) with God's Spirit (power and wisdom of God).

Some call the anointing being "in-filled" with the Spirit of God, but the anointing comes after one is saved, of the church and asks for it, but they have to be hearing from God on a one on one basis to be anointed.

    I John 2:20-27

    20. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

    21. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

    22. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

    23. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

    24. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

    25. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

    26. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

    27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

    John 14

    26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus is the word become flesh John 1:14, God is the soul (mind, will and emotions) of the trinity. Christ was the manifestation of God on Jesus. If we are of Christ, we are of the manifestation of God on, in, and through us.

Understand, your growth in the kingdom of God is based on the time you put in. The more time now, the sooner you will be blessed in all ways.

Below I have scripture to show you just how blessed you can be.

    Mark 11

    22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

    23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

    24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

    25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

    26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

    Mark 5

    24. And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

    25. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

    26. And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

    27. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

    28. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

    29. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

    30. And Jesus, imediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

    31. And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

    32. And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

    33. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

    34. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

As stated in I Cor. 1:24 the power of God is in Christ, and it states in the same verses that those of Christ is of the power and wisdom of God. Not the church, not those of Jesus (salvation) but of Christ only.

And as above Mark 5:24-34 Jesus felt power leave, and the power is that of Christ. And the same power is in, on and through those of Christ. Even though someone calls upon Jesus and is saved and does have the Spirit of God in them and connected in them to their spirit they do not have the Spirit in, on and through as in Christ.

There are many verses dealing with the power in Christ, and as Jesus name means salvation, and professing as it is stated in Romans 10:9--10. As shown in Matthew 18:15-19, we become part of the church when God the Father reveals to us who Jesus is as the Christ and the true Son of God.

    1 Corinthians 1

    24. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

To start understand you need to replace judging (Matthew 7:1-5) with forgiveness. If you have truly forgiven then you have also forgotten what was needed to be forgiven.
