***If you are in the flesh or not in the spirit, do not read this study. It could be hard to follow and (though not meaning to) cause offense. In other words, pray to the Lord for understanding, an open heart, and wisdom before delving into this study.***
The following Bible Study is a very involved, long study. I am breaking it up, because it is way to important to do this all at once. Read through it, then review it and go back through to digest what you have read. Go through the parts in order.
We will be looking at the spirit of man, God's Spirit, the soul and the flesh, the division of them, and what brought them all back into one. We will also look at what is necessary to grow in the Spirit.
The soul is man. The soul is your mind, memories, will, and emotions. Through the soul, not the flesh or the spirit, we choose what we do and who we follow.
The soul is what dies or is cut off, not the spirit.
The soul lives.
Our life is in our soul.
The soul, the will causes blessings.
The soul leaves as we die.
We serve with our heart (spirit) and our soul (will).
The soul desires.
Job 7:11
The soul is delivered from the pit (Hell), not the spirit.
Deliverance is of the soul.
It is not the spirit, but the soul that makes choices, and gets in doubt.
Out of the soul come praises and cursing. Out of the spirit only comes praising, and the flesh cursing. The two (the flesh and the spirit) meet in the soul and battle for control.
The soul is fed.
The spirit is not destroyed but the soul and the body are.
The soul brings forth the connection for the oncoming of the Spirit.
Our soul not, our spirit needs faith.
We sin in the soul and flesh against the Soul of God.
The greatest comandments involve the soul.
Again, our soul praises.
Our thoughts (who we become) is revealed through the soul.
The soul is saved from hell.
Fear comes into the soul and the flesh, not the spirit.
Hearing comes by the soul.
It is possible for many believers to be of one spirit and one soul.
