Christmas Can Be the Best
or Worst Time of Year
Jerry Wilhite, author I well understand how there are so many reasons to make this the worst time of year. There are many more, but I am sure some of you can relate, and if I did not list your reason for this time of year being bad, I am sure you can relate as well. No matter what you believe, we have an enemy, Satan, and he wants nothing more than to destroy us and make our lives a living Hell. Especially this time of year, and no matter what has caused your pain, you can get back at him. You can take what he has done to you, and toss it back in his face. Now this may not be easy, but it can be done, and if you really want revenge for what ever has caused your pain, here is your chance. Early on I never believed that Satan caused as much heartache as he does. I always blamed it on others, myself, etc. So when I researched Satan and saw what all he had done that was published, I realized he is like a Japanese Kamikaze (suicide pilot) in WWII. He is going to take as many of us with him as possible, and in the mean time He is going to cause as much pain and injury as he can on us. Scripture says he has come to steal, kill and destroy, and it is true, He has come to steal our peace, destroy our happiness, and kill us. So we have to take back what he has stolen. We need to understand the truth about those which have left this world for the next as well. Let's start with those who have died. All you have to do is have God in you to be closer to them than ever before. They are with God. Since they are with God, and if God is in you, then they are with you, in you. Treat it as a short time apart, like they are off to college for four years. The four years can seem like forever, but the truth is the time you have left here before you meet them again is less in comparison to eternity than 4 years is to 120 years. Now as you get to know God and learn just how close you are to your lost loved ones, you also regain your peace, and joy, and happiness. As that happens Satan is kicked while he is down. Past events The things in your past that were caused by someone else can either be pondered on for the rest of your life and eat you up alive or be forgiven and forgotten. Yes, forgiven; when you forgive another of an evil act, you are the bigger of the two, but also with forgiveness comes peace. From peace comes a large weight lifted off your back. Loss of things There is nothing lost that can not be recovered, and in time even more will come! When you know who the thief is, by scripture, you can reclaim it 7 fold. Illness Injury and sickness can be overcome, I know, I have been on the operating table 28 times. 4 different back injuries, bypass surgery, diabetes, pulmonary hypertension, and so much more. I survived and I am doing so much better. I had a large family of over 100 and now all that is left is about 6. I have lost parents, grand parents, uncles, aunts, and more, and I have survived. I spent 2 years in the hospital in 83-85, my wife divorced me kept my then 1 and 3 year old sons from me. I was alone, and I mean completely alone. You have no idea what alone is until you spend it at Christmas in a hospital, but I survived it and no longer am alone. I was divorced looking at never again marrying or being loved. I am now married again and loved, have a daughter and another son and relationships with my first two sons. The point is we can either suffer and allow Satan the upper hand and let him win, or we can take control and be the victor. I Peter 5 7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. In the above verse the word care means anxiety, care, problems, etc. To cast them on God, means to let go and let Him have them. If He has them then you do not. If you do not, your life is already getting better, but to do this requires faith. Faith, is belief without doubt. Hebrews 11 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. And the only way to please God is by faith, so if it takes faith to give Him your problems, the only way to please God is to give Him your problems. I Peter 2 24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Notice it says not by His stripes we are or will be healed, but by His stripes we were healed. That means it was already done. We are already healed, we just have to receive it and it will manifest. All we need is in the word; all the word is ours including all of His promises. Start this Christmas believing that life is going up, no longer down. We are all here for you.
