Spirit, Blood and The Word
All are powerful apart or together

Jerry Wilhite, author

What you will learn in this study is the power in the blood (especially in Jesus), the word (especially that which became Jesus), and the power in the spirit of mankind (especially that of God).

Spirit

I Peter 1

|4268| foreknowledge

|2316| God's,

|1519| to

|5218| obedience

|2532| and

|4473| sprinkling

|0129| of {the} blood

|2424| of Jesus

|5547| Christ.

from GSN5219; Mattentive heMarkening, i.e. (by implication) compliance or submission:

I Peter

22. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Our soul (mind, will and emotion) are cleaned of ideal thoughts and words to be of God and God only. We learn this is via the spirit, but only by listening to and obeying the truth through the spirit.

I Peter 4

6. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

I John 4

2 Timothy 1

Blood

Strong's Ref. # 129

Romanized haima

Pronounced hah'-ee-mah

of uncertain derivation; blood, literally (of men or animals), figuratively (the juice of grapes) or specially (the atoning blood of Christ); by implication bloodshed, also kindred:

KJV--blood.

1Peter 1

2. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification (properly, purification, i.e. (the state) purity; concretely (by Hebraism) a purifier:) of the spirit, unto obedience (Mattentive heMarkening, i.e. (by implication) compliance or submission:) and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Blood is the life of he flesh, it supplies life to every cell. We are made up of billions of cells, and these cells are living, dieing, and being replaced by new and healthy cells daily.

The blood flows through out the entire body, every appendage, even the brain requires blood and the blood also carries oxygen to all parts of the body. Blood is literally the life line of every living body. It not only supplies life giving oxygen, it cleanses the cells by carrying away impurities to be filtered and subsequently expelled from the body.

The Word

I Peter 1

23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The word is alive, it is living in us, and out of which comes creative or destructive words.

If the word is based on scripture, applied with faith, and you are of Christ (I Cor. 1:24 (power and wisdom of God)), then creative works will be the action of your words.

However, if your words are merely you own ideas and of no meaning then they are not creative and then are subject to being destructive. How are spoken idea words destructive? That which is not of God is sin, and words spoken or even thought of that are not based in love (the fruit of the Spirit) to uplift, edify, or educate, they are destructive either literally or spiritually. At the very least they are useless and doing nothing but taking up space, time, energy, etc.

Since the word is alive and living in us, applied with faith they are of the power of God. As God spoke in the beginning they (words) had no choice but to become what God spoke, i.e. earth, sky, universe.

John 1

1. In the power (beginning) was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I John 5

4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

So many will declare they are of God and of faith, but they have yet to overcome the world, and when they have overcome the world they then are of faith. Not faith as seen in the world, but faith in and of God, faith that creates.

You may have seen those who are doing well and appear to be of faith, that whatever they put their hands to grows. It would appear they have great faith, but no belief in God. Notice - even though they may appear to be of great wealth and even good health, look closely and see what is missing. I mean more than just God - failed relationships, loss of children or loved ones, marriages that broke up, addictions to drugs and/or alcohol. Seldom, if ever, do you see anyone who has it all unless they are of God. Faith as that which is of/in God is not the same as the faith of the world.

Mark 11

22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Read the scripture below and realize mankind of today is being led astray by television, movies, music, game systems, etc. That is because most of these items are exalting themselves against God. Anything that brings doubt about God or that teaches against God (whether by instruction or entertainment) is not of God. Examples of this are shows about aliens or other Gods, new teachings bout God not found in scripture. Consider Superman the movie of the 70's where Marlon Brando's character tells how he is sending his only son to earth to save it. That is just one of many lines in movies that most never connect to antic-Christ, but it is now in them, and it will help bring doubt.

I know some of you are saying Jerry you must be wrong, otherwise we can no longer enjoy movies, television, games, etc. It was NOT I who first taught this!

2 Corinthians 10

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

5.

|3053| imaginations

|2507| demolishing,

|2532| and

|3956| every

|5313| high thing

|1869| lifting up

|9999| {itself}

|2596| against

|3588| the

|1108| knowledge

|3588| of

|2316| God,

|2532| and

|0163| bringing into captivity

|3956| every

|3540| thought

|1519| into

|3588| the

|5218| obedience

|5547| of Christ,

Strong's Ref. # 3053

Romanized logismos

Pronounced log-is-mos'

from GSN3049; computation, i.e. (figuratively) reasoning (conscience, conceit):

KJV--imagination, thought.

Strong's Ref. # 2507

Romanized kathaireo

Pronounced kath-ahee-reh'-o

from GSN2596 and GSN0138 (including its alternate); to lower (or with violence) demolish (literally or figuratively):

KJV--cast (pull, put, take) down, destroy.

I Peter 5

  1. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
