Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Are You Sure You Know The Lord The Way You Should?

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Need help with relationships, health, finances, family, children, if there is even a God, or just want to know more about God and what God is all about? Then you are at the right place.

If your life is perfect then go back. As a matter of fact why are you even on the Net?

If you do not know, or are not sure if you know the Lord, if you know the Lord but feel you have back slidden, or you just need to catch up some, then you are reading the right information.

There are about 4 pages with links to more pages. All of this is to help those who do not know or are not sure if they know the Lord. Even if you just want to make sure you are on the right path, take the time to read all that follows.

In the pages to follow I will show you that God is a God of Love, not wrath, and that He is our Father and Daddy.

Yes, there is a God and He is a God of love, forgiveness and blessing. One thing you need to learn is not to judge God by what you see hear and know on the earth. Even the best of us are not worthy to untie His sandals, and the best of us would give the wrong idea of who or what God is and is about to any watching us.

Imagine 3 toddlers in a sand box playing and they start arguing over who can do what. Now compare those toddlers to the most loving, understanding and compassionate adult you have ever known.

Now you have a small idea of what the difference is between God and the best of us here and now on the earth.

We just can not even compare to Him. He is all love, all peace and so much more that it would take books to share it all with you.

If you have ever looked at anyone who calls themselves a Christian and wondered what a Christian's God was like after your encounter with them, stop.

Get that out of your mind.

I know you have heard about His (God's) wrath, and how He is going to do this or that if we do not do that or this .

As of now forget all of that. What you heard was only partially right. Yes, there is a day coming where He pours His wrath out, but not on you or me if we believe in Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 tells us that He (God) did not appoint us to His wrath, but unto His salvation.

I grew up hearing the same thing, about how mad God was with me and that if I did not get it right, well you know because you heard it as well.
Then there are those who love to judge all they see, and they tell us based on our actions if we do not change we are not going to make it. Guess what? They are wrong for judging.

John 3

16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Isn't it sad how many remember John 3:16 but do not remember 3:17. The word condemn actually means more. The writers of the KJV of the Bible decided to use condemn only because in 1612 AD (when they did their work of translating the New Testament) condemn meant condemn and judge. The actual word would be better translated as "judge" in today's language.

In Matthew we even get more understanding about judging.

Matthew 7

1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

The point is we are judged, not by God, not by others, but by every word that comes out of our mouth.

Those who go around trying to tie a millstone around others' necks, whether it is by judging or just by being legalistic will have to answer for that. They will also have to answer for those who did not make it to heaven because of their words and actions.

If someone is truly of God, then they are of love. If they are of love, they would not open their mouth unless it is either to build someone up, or by direction of God only. I can not find, in the New Testament anywhere, where we are to judge, condemn, or to do anything other than Love each other.

Of course, if you see someone doing something so drastically wrong that it will bring their down fall here and now, and in the next life, then you have a responsibility to take it to the Lord and seek His guidance. If it is something that is a matter of seconds, then you can stop them, and then ask the Lord.

But under no circumstance can you in any way do anything that is outside of the love of God for us.

Ok, I know that last sentence was very open what would love be?

Look at the type of Love we know of. The type that Jesus had was to take everything unto Himself; one with no sin took all sin. One with no sickness took all sickness. One with no pain took all pain. Mostly, One Who should never had died took death itself.

Basically, sin came in and brought illness and death with it. Up until sin got into mankind there was no illness or death.

An easier way to understand is this is to consider this scenario:

You are well, no pain, no problems; as a matter of fact you are 21 and never felt sick a day in your life and never knew or felt pain before. You decide to have your blood tested, and the needle the nurse uses has been used before by someone with HIV, and due to that you end up with HIV. Now, everything seems to come your way; you are constantly sick and ill, and then die. Before you got HIV, sickness, and death seemed foreign to you.

Well, that's how it was with Adam and Eve. The needle in their case was a fruit. The nurse was told to use new needles on every patient, but to save time she used the same one over and over again.

Adam (not Eve, but Adam) was told not to eat of the fruit of only one tree out of thousands of trees in the garden. You see the comparison. are you starting to understand?

Since Adam and Eve were the only 2 on the earth, everything they did affected all who were to follow.

Like if you allowed the nurse to use the dirty needle, and you knew it was dirty and you knew it could cause problems, but you are arrogant. You think it won't matter. You have not gotten sick yet; it will not happen now. Out of your arrogance, and your disobeying the rules to use new needles you now are ill. Next, your wife gets pregnant not knowing you are HIV positive, so the child comes and it is HIV positive all due to your disobedience. From there on out all of your descendants are affected. Well that is what Adam did, he was disobedient, and due to that, we are all infected with sin.

Your ignorance will not keep you safe. (My people are destroyed by their lack of knowledge.)

Think about this, if you, who do not believe in God, are wrong, you will spend eternity in eternal torment. But if you are right, this is all there is to it, and there is nothing more. That to me is the saddest thing I have ever heard, and makes all we do in vain. Because all that has to happen is for Russia to get mad and launch its nukes and the US retaliates and it is all over, nothing left, nothing to show for our lives. If there is no next life, then it means we are all working for nothing.

Admit you realize that all you have is gone in time, nothing lasts, not even money. So why spend 20+ years learning, 50+ years working and 5 years dieing. For what? Your house, cars, furniture; don't you know in 200 years it will not even be junk, by then it is all history.

Those who believe in evolution are basically saying that out of a combination of at least 100,000,000 major accidents of nature we came about. That is even more ridiculous than believing in God based on the non believers way of thinking.

No my friend, evolution is a joke. Some of it is feasible, but God did create all, and He created the universe as He did Adam, mature. So it all appears older than it is.

Three of the biggest problems with believers today are that:

You see Jesus came to do what the law could not, reunite us with our Father in heaven. Based on the law we could never be clean enough to be with Him one on one, but under the sacrifice Jesus made we can be one on one, face to face with God.

So many for different reasons do not believe the Spirit is alive today as well as power, healing, etc of God. They believe it either never was, or it ended in the 1st century church. We all believe in God, but that is where it ends for the most part.

Not every one in these denominations believe as I am going to share, but a large percentage do. Here are some of the problems.

AS I SAID NOT ALL OF THE BAPTIST, LUTHERANS, CATHOLIC BELIEVE AS I LISTED ABOVE, BUT ENOUGH DO TO LIST HERE.

There is much more, and of course each denomination has its different beliefs.

So how did this happen and why?

First understand that each one is a denomination, there is the Catholic Denomination, Baptist Denomination, etc. The word denomination in it self means to divide. Jesus told us in Matthew a house divided can not stand.

We have an enemy (Satan) and all of his demons, and they have been here since the beginning of time. So understand Satan knew if we believed in him we also would believe in God, so the first thing he did was convince us he does not exist. Then he put thoughts into our minds, different thoughts, and we started discussing them, believing what we thought was right, so the others were wrong. Then we started to divide into different denominations.

Ok, before I go too far, understand you do not have an original thought of your own. You have 2 types of thoughts. One type is forced on you by Satan Those are the ones we mostly have and they cause most of our problems. Paul realized this as a big problem early on.

Romans 1

20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23. And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

2 Corinthians 10

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

So understanding that God is a gentleman and will not force Himself or His thoughts on you, then know that most thoughts we have are of Satan being forced on us daily.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 John 2

20. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Understand that Satan knows that as long as he can keep us from believing in him he keeps us from believing in God as well and he has won.

Actually the worse thing that has happened to us, has been good intentions. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

The Leader of the church and Rome in late 4th century had thought he was doing us all a good thing, when he made it law that to own anything, to be of power, to be anyone, you had to be part of the church and believe in Jesus.

So for the next 8-10 centuries the world suffered. It took a few hundred years for it all to get in and take hold, then we had the dark ages, the inquisition, Holy Wars, etc.

Then by the end of the 15th century a priest had gotten hold of the entire Bible and read it. At this time only the pope could read it all. Two of the books that made the most impact on this priest were Romans and Hebrews. After reading this, he (Martin Luther) sent a letter to the pope calling him the anti-Christ.

Martin Luther was excomunicated from the church, but a lot of people still listened to him and his followers grew. Now what I have read about Martin Luther I can not believe he wanted a following or a denomination named after him. I think if he were alive today and saw the 3 different groups called Lutheran's he would be upset.

The next 150 years were the most difficult and spawned the most growth as far as different denominations are concerned.

In the late 15 or 16th century, a group believed if you were not dunked completely under water you were not baptized and if not baptized you were not saved. Those who did not believe this out numbered those who did, and they started persecuting those who did. What they did was set up a seesaw at a lake and put you on the end over the lake and if you did not change your mind they dunked you, and each time it would get longer until you drowned. This was how the Baptist got their names.

Now the entire problem is that if mankind reads the word without God explaining it, they interpret His word, but if they have the Spirit explain it to them, they have understanding. Since most did not realize this they read and read and each time get a little different idea. Also not all could read, maybe less than 10% could read it all. Remember translations other than Latin, Greek and Hebrew did not come about until the 16th century, and English not until 17th century. So a lot of those reading only could in their own language and then they depended on someone translating from Hebrew, Greek, or Latin into their own language. Think about that; there may have been (at best in the 16th-18th century) 10% who read their own language with ease, much fewer could translate another language into their own. So, by the 19th century we have at least dozen major denominations, the Methodist were just getting a foot fold in the world.

So 1 out of 100 were reading the word in Latin and then translating it into other languages, or maybe if lucky 1 out of 10 had a Bible in their language and could read.

I read a report dated January, 2001 from the government that said there could be as high as 30% of Americans could not read at all. This is in the 21st century, now think about the 19th, 18th or before. How many could read, and read well?

By now you should be getting the idea thst a lot of the difference came just due to language barriers.

Hosea 4

6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Now understand that the Bible (as we know it now) was not even formed in its setting of 66 books and all the books we have until sometime in the 2nd to 3rd and by some reports could be as late as the 4th century.

Yes, it is the breathed word of God, and all of it was written at the time it happened or very close, I mean each of the individual books. But it was not until centuries later that it was decided on which of the books went into the Bible and which did not. Then it was for the next 11-13 centuries only allowed to be read by the priest and then it was not even the entire Bible.

So as you can see it was very easy for the earlier believers to have missed the few verses that dealt with who would teach mankind (John 14:26 and I John 2:27). By then they may have been so set in their ways as to just believe what they were told by the church leaders. Remember back in the 4-5th century when the leader of the church and Rome set laws about who could hold positions of power, own land, own anything, that were all based on their belief in God. He did not realize it, but he basically set up the church to be ruined by pagans for centuries to come.

Now that you understand all of this so far, remember it is not me that teaches, but God. At first I or another will teach a person how to get close enough to God to hear from Him and then at that point they hear directly from God. Those who can not spend hours a day with God and in His word, can be blessed by those who can. So those who go to work somewhere in the world and those of God start comunicating with God, and once, twice or as often as possible get with the rest and share what they know, then through the next week those who get what someone else shared with them from God can spend the next week verifying it with God. By week's end they should be ready for more and start all over again.

The tithes and offerings support the person who spends the week with God so those who have less time can pay their bills feed their family, etc. Remember these people are feeding your spirit man, and as you would pay for a meal at a restaurant you pay the tithe to the one feeds you, tithe is like paying for the meal. Then, as at a restaurant you tip for the service, the offering is like the tip for the service.

Now I have listed below some Bible studies that will help you understand even better some of the topics discussed.

Remember, the more you put in, the more you get out, so do this in a few days then go back over it and over until it is as much a part of you as your phone number is.

There are so many other areas we did not even touch and all will bless you, but they will come in time.

Other studies that will help you grow and learn more as well as they were a huge help with this study.
