Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Power and Wisdom of God

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

The power and wisdom of God are not ours, but they are ours to use, and we should use them.

1 Corinthians 1

  1. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

24.

|0846| to them

|1161| But

|3588| the

|2822| called ones,

|2453| to Jews

|5037| both

|2532| and

|1672| to Greeks,

|5547| Christ

|2316| of God

|9999| {the}

|1411| power

|2532| and

|2316| of God

|9999| {the}

|4678| wisdom.

Based on the literal translation Christ is the power, and the wisdom is of God, but it is of Christ as well. The main difference is that Christ is the power, not just the power of God, but THE POWER is Christ.

The "power"as described in Strong's is:

Strong's Ref. # 1411

Romanized dunamis

Pronounced doo'-nam-is

from GSN1410; force (literally or figuratively); specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself):

KJV--ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work.

When you are saved or born again, you are of the blood of Jesus and have the Spirit of God in you. When you are of the Body of Christ, you are the power and of the wisdom of God.

Isaiah 10

  1. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The Jews knew the day was coming when they would be liberated by the power, the anointing, the Christ, the Messiah.

Luke 4

  1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
  2. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

The body of Christ is not referred to in the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation. The church is basically salvation, and that is where the problem is. If you do not continue to grow into the body you are not of the new. You are complete, but only in the aspect of the old.

2 Thessalonians 2

  1. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The mystery is the antichrist, the last part is referring to a restraining of antichrist, a power keeping the antichrist in check.

2 Thessalonians 2

7.

|3588| the

|1063| For

|3466| mystery

|2235| already

|1754| works

|3588| of

|0458| lawlessness,

|3440| only

|3588| he

|2722| restraining

|0737| now,

|2193| until

|1537| out of

|9999| {the}

|3319| middle

|1096| it comes.

The antichrist comes from the middle of something.

Strong's Ref. # 3319

Romanized mesos

Pronounced mes'-os

from GSN3326; middle (as an adjective or [neuter] noun):

KJV--among, X before them, between, + forth, mid[-day, -night], midst, way.

He will arise from the midst or from among those restraining (the body of Christ). At least it appears he is of the body of Christ.

Think of how the world has become less and less restrained in the past 30 years. Now think of that which keeps it semi-restrained until all checks are gone. How far will they (people) go; how unrestrained will they become?

Let's get back to the point at hand. If Jesus told us we would do what He did, and more, then what should we be doing?

John 21

  1. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

It states in the above verse that if all that Jesus did in His 3 years had been written down there would not be enough room for the entire world to hold it. All of what He did that we are told is in a few pages in the 4 Gospels. All they gave us was an account here and there for some of the miracles. Like healing the blind, we read about 3 accounts, 3 different levels of faith shown by 3 different blind men seeing. Weakest faith hears a word and is healed. The next is touched and it takes a few moments to be healed. For the third blind man Jesus spit in some mud, placed it on his eyes and then told him to go walk through town with mud on his face and wash it off in a well.

John 9

  1. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
  2. And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
  3. The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Jesus gave a word and touched the man.

Matthew 9

  1. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
  2. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

The greatest level of faith was where just a word was needed.

Mark 10

  1. And Jesus stood still, and comanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
  2. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
  3. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
  4. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And imediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Of course the greatest faith (based on what Jesus said) was not even a Jew.

Matthew 8

  1. And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
  2. And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
  3. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
  4. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
  5. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
  6. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
  7. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
  8. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  9. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Now what I am getting at was that all defects were healed, all of the blind saw, all of the lame walked, and so forth.

Matthew 11

  1. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
  2. And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
  3. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
  4. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
  5. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Jesus said to tell John that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, deaf hear, dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Not SOME blind see, or A FEW lame walk, or MOST deaf hear, but ALL that came in contact with Him were healed. Remember in His 3-1/2 years of ministry He walked no further than a few miles outside of Israel, but basically covered all of Israel.

John 14

  1. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

We are to do greater. Now, after 2,000 years we should have it down pat. All who are of the body of Christ should be flowing in the power. With as many as we are supposed to be, we should be back into the Garden of Eden.

And remember He took all sin on Himself at the cross. That meant for a moment there was no sin and therefore no consequences of sin, death, sickness, illness, etc.

Before I go too far let me cover one thing:

Matthew 11

  1. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Poor have the gospel (good news) preached to them.

Since gospel means good news, what would good news to the poor mean?

They are not poor any more. So, are you rich?

Are you starting to see the point here? We are not even close to flowing in the power because if we were it would be well known. The news would not miss covering a person who healed all with whom he/she came in to contact.

So, we are not flowing in the power. Some of you call it being infilled by the spirit. It is being of the anointing that counts. When we are flowing in the power, we will know it, everyone will.

Let's not forget about the wisdom. The wisdom guides us for the power to be used and to work. Maybe we are flowing in the power, but if we are not flowing in the wisdom the power is just wasting away.

Example, if you smoke, knowledge would point out how it is bad for you and that you should stop, but wisdom would show you how, and the power would supply the way.

Here are some verses to help you continue on with this study on your own.

Power verses

IS10:27

John 14:26

I John 2:20-27

Heb 11:1, 6

Rom 10:17

Rom 10:9-10

I Cor 1:24

Luke 4:18-19

Seek First

Matthew 6:33

Hebrews 11:6

Need to know to in order to flow (overcome roadblocks)

Matthew 7:1-5

Mark 11:26

John 3:17

Then go back and read all of Matthew 7, Mark 11:11-26 and John 3 and 14

These are not all, but they will get you moving in the right direction.

The literal translation is just that, a version of the word that is literally what was said.

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1

2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
