Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Numbers

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Numbers have meaning in the Word of God and are very interesting at the very least.

7 means completion and there are 7 days in a week. The 7th day completes the week and the 8th day starts a new week. 8 is the number of new beginnings. The number of Jesus Christ in Greek added together is 888 or three new beginnings.

9 is the number of the fruit of the Spirit and the number of plagues poured on Egypt in Exodus. In Egypt the last plague (death of the first born) was thwarted by the blood of the lamb over the homes of the Children of Israel, representing the salvation of the Children of God by the death of the first born Son (Lamb) of God.

The first plague was all the water being turned into blood. The blood of an innocent lamb prevented the last plague. So between the First and last (blood) plagues there are 7 others. That represents the number of completion and how many plagues that will be poured out after tribulation. The length of tribulation is 7 years, completion.

The number 10 represents the law and 12 is government, as in the 10 Comandments and the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 Apostles.

40 is the number of a generation. Moses was 40 when he left Egypt. He spent 40 more years prior to returning to Egypt, and it was 40 more years until Israel finally went into the Promised Land. It rained 40 days and nights during the flood of Noah. Afterward there was a whole new generation of mankind.

6 represents incompleteness or the number of man without God. The number of the beast is 666 or the number of man without God. Why 666(three sixes)? It means incomplete in all the natures of man - spirit, soul, and flesh. 666 is the number of the beast because the beast is incomplete, it is missing the Holy Spirit. In 6 days God created everything and the seventh He rested.

3 is the number of perfection and of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

1 (One) is the number of unity.

So you have 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 40 now let's look at how some have been put to use.

Seven Years Vs One Year

There are 365 days in one year and there are 364 weeks in 7 years. Seven is the number of completion. Seven days in the week, the seventh day is the last day of the old week; the eighth day is the first day of the new week.

Peter 3 Times

Three times Peter denied knowing Jesus. He even cursed Jesus, but Jesus gave him a chance to repent three times.

Matthew 26

  1. Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
  2. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
  3. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
  4. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
  5. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
  6. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And imediately the cock crew.
  7. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

John 21

  1. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
  2. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
  3. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1

2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
