You have been blessed
since the beginning, all Jesus did was finish it on the cross. We should
believe for what ever we need to believe for and receive it. No matter if it is
healing, funds, things, etc., as long as we use them as tools, we can have as
much as we want. To be totally truthful we should be believing for billions to
help the poor, hungry, sick, lost, and to bless ourselves in the name of Jesus. John 14 27. Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I
unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ephesians 1 3. Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4. According
as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should
be holy and without blame before him in love: 5. Having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to the good pleasure of his will, 6. To the
praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the
beloved. 7. In whom
we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace; 8. Wherein
he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9. Having
made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure
which he hath purposed in himself: 10. That in
the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all
things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in
him: 11. In whom
also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12. That we
should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Most people think that
predestination means God choose some to be one way and others to be another
way. The truth is God looked forward in time and saw who would be and who would
not be of God and then set all we needed in the world at the beginning and made
every possible inroad for the lost to return to Him. We forget that we are
blessed and were blessed from the
foundation of the world. Too many think money and things are a sin, and they
are if they own you, but if you own them they are not. If you really want a
close relationship with God and to be blessed, then start by shutting up and
listening to Him. Allow God to direct your ways and you will be blessed and not
need any man. Not of our own works or
deeds but that of faith. Ephesians 2 9. Not of
works, lest any man should boast. 10. For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
before ordained that we should walk in them. I know we are told faith
without works is dead (and that is a true statement), but is misunderstood. The
idea is that our faith should produce and from this the works are a sign of our
faith. In Luke we see how men
who are wanting a physical blessing realize that is not what they wanted
anyway, what they needed was a spiritual blessing. Luke 5 3. And he
entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would
thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out
of the ship. 4. Now when
he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let
down your nets for a draught. 5. And
Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have
taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6. And when
they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net
brake. 7. And they
beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should
come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they
began to sink. 8. When
Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I
am a sinful man, O Lord. 9. For he
was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which
they had taken: 10. And so
was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon.
And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. 11. And when
they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him. I get email, mail, and
people telling me that I am a great man of God and so blessed and how blessed
they are to know me. If I am blessed (which I believe I am) it is due to the
Father not me, and if I am great it is only due to who is in me making me
great. I am nothing more than a pen in the hand of the author writing what I am
told to write. I am just like most of
you; I make mistakes, I sin (not as much as I used to) and I have thoughts that
I have to get control of and cast down, and I am attacked on a regular basis. This makes me no less or
more than any of you. We all can become more via Christ. I will say it has been
my pleasure over the years to write and be used to place before you all the
word of God, but it is not me; it is Him that deserves our praise. If you pray for me, pray
that I will continue to listen and follow Him. If you must praise, praise God
for helping me to become what I am and what I am changing into.

I remember going to a Copeland convention in Forth Worth, Texas in '93 and
hearing again and again how I was blessed. I kept thinking well if you guys are
blessed then bless me and when I get to your level I will help others also.
Then over the years God showed me why that is wrong. First my faith would be in
them and not God, and for a time or two they may help me but God would always
help. So, I, like so many, had to develop faith to be blessed to help others.
Not from what others have, but what God already had for me.
