Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

3 Parables to Help you Grow

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

In the following verses you need to look and see what relates to you. Out of the 3 different parables below at least one will relate to all of us, and if we are honest with our selves more than one.

Matthew 21

  1. But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
  2. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
  3. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
  4. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
  5. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

The above could relate to so many. Some who have been raised in a denomination may relate closely to the publicans if they believe that since they were raised in the denomination they are better than others. I have seen this so much.

Mark 12

  1. And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and dug a place for the wine vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husband men, and went into a far country.
  2. And at the season he sent to the husband men a servant, that he might receive from the husband men of the fruit of the vineyard.
  3. And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
  4. And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
  • And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
  • Having yet therefore one son, his well beloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
  • But those husband men said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
  • And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

  • What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husband men, and will give the vineyard unto others.
  • Of course this is talking of God sending His only Son to get us to start getting right with Him. How many of us fit into some part of this parable?

    Luke 15

    1. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
    2. And he said, A certain man had two sons:
    3. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
    4. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
    5. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
    6. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
    7. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
    8. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
    9. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
    10. And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
    11. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
    12. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
    13. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
    14. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
    15. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
    16. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
    17. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
    18. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
    19. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him.
    20. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy comandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
    21. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
    22. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
      1. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

This one deals with us all, we are separated from the father due to sin. We walk a life saturated in the world and then one day we wake up to the truth and realize it is not religion (the world) we need, but the relationship with the Father that matters. When any one of us returns HE is happy.

      Those who call themselves Christians:

      • Can get caught up in the law and or legalism.
      • Can get caught up in denominations/religion.
      • Can get caught up in pride of what our religion is doing, building new buildings, etc.
      • Can get stuck on a point of scripture and cause many to fall away.
      • Such as:

        • Once saved always saved takes away from the idea we have free will and can at any time reject the Father.
        • Once saved always saved can cause some to sin.
        • Believing they are saved no matter what; some think they can continue on the same path they were on.
        • Water Baptism over Baptism of the Holy Spirit

      Acts 1

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
      1. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
      2. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
      3. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

So many believe if they are baptized with water that they are saved. The only thing that saves is the blood of Jesus. Water baptism is good to show our faith, but the one and true baptism is in the Holy Spirit.

      John 3

      1. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
      2. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
      3. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
      4. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
      5. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

      John 4

      1. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
      2. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

These are 2 points of scripture that have divided the body of Christ. The word denomination means to divide and look at what Jesus said about dividing.

      Matthew 12

      1. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Satan has not stayed still for the past 2,000 years, he has done his job in dividing us.

If we are to be Christians, then we are to be of Christ or Christ like, and "Christ" is Greek for "anointing".

      Luke 4

      1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Even Jesus did nothing of Himself only, but of His Father, and He could do nothing if He were not of the Father's Spirit.

      John 5

      1. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
      2. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

      I John 2

      1. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

      John 14

      1. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you

As you can see the ideal is relationship with our heavenly Father. Since He is a Spirit it can only happen in the Spirit. Jesus came to bridge the gap caused by Adam with sin.

Be honest with yourself; before judging others, look into the mirror and judge what you see.

      Matthew 7

      1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.
      2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
      3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
      4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
      5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.

If you read Malachi 3:10-12 and then Mark 4:12-18 you will see where the tithe can and will increase your knowledge of the word and of God. The tithe is more than just giving 10% to a church, it is a way for God to have authority in your life over all that matters, your income, your growth, even relationships. Out of about 30 people I have known for the past 10+ years only 5 tithed. The 5 of the 20 that tithed have increased in every area of their life. Where the other 15 have increased some, they are still light years behind the 5 who tithed in all areas. It is your choice, but do not tithe until you understand the tithe and what it does for you and do it from the heart and not the head.
