Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Suicide - Depression

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Depression is the main cause of suicide, and depression is brought on by Satan.

Satan wants nothing more than to steal your joy, destroy your life, and kill you.

One of the easiest and best for him is to get you depressed over something, anything, so he can convince you to take your life.

It may be just a wandering thought, but it can be deadly. You may not think you are attractive enough, or smart enough, or loved. Then you start to dwell on it, and think about it all the time. Soon you are depressed and on an express elevator to death.

I have had depression before, and most likely will again. We all even think of suicide, but what is really so bad to want to die?

We are overweight or old, or to young, these are all lies. It is not the outward person that is beautiful, it is what is inside. I married once for the outside and guess what, she was not even pretty. Then again for the inside and she always was beautiful, in and out.

No matter what, we always have the Father to talk to and He will always lead you to the one He has for you.

OK, so it is finances.

Poor finances have done almost as much damage to relationships as drought has to crops. Yes, finances can be a tough one, not knowing who is calling, and what they can or can not do to you legally, if or when you might lose your home, or car. These all can drive most people to drink or worse.

Think about it, if they took all you owned from you, would that be all that bad? You could start over, yes you can, people do it all the time and so can you. What ever you have done once you can do again. If they take it all, then you owe nothing and you are free and clear. Due to debt we are not free, we can not just take off as we want sometimes. If you are free and clear you can. So this time around make sure you do it without as much debt to stay as free and clear as you can. If you really think about it, you will not starve or go without a roof. There are plenty of shelters or family members that will let you sleep there and feed you. I know this is not the same as your own home and your own food, but you will not starve. Believe it or not, the bill collectors can not come and shoot you, and in some cases are very limited to what they can take. So think about it, look for the positives and avoid the negatives as much as possible.

Relationship gone sour, yes that can be bad. In my first marriage I was in the hospital in surgery as my wife was in court divorcing me, and she would not bring my kids (2 and 4 years old) to see me and I was in the hospital for 2 years.

But, you know what? She was not the one God wanted for me, or she never would hve left me. Afterwards God lead me to the woman He had for me and as much as I thought back then I would not survive without my first wife, I am now that much and more in love with my present wife of 15 years.

The point is that in every storm comes a cleansing, a time when the storm ends and the sun shines. The same is for us, as long as we hold on to God He will guides us through the storms of life and help us make it through it all.

Mark 4

  1. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
  2. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
  3. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
  4. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

  1. And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Here are two good examples of storms, the first notice the storm did not even wake Jesus.

No matter what storm is in your life and how bad it seems, you have faith, use it.

Matthew 14

  1. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

  1. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
  2. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
  3. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
  4. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
  5. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
  6. And imediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32. And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Here we see Peter starts to use his faith and walk on water until he takes his eyes off Jesus and looks on the surroundings. That is our problem more often than not; we look at the world around us or our problems and forget who is still in control (GOD).

Mark 11

  1. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

  1. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
  2. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
  3. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  4. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

If you believe in God and have the faith of a mustard seed (meaning very small, but never doubting) you can do all of the above.

You have the choice, but remember you have friends here at godsgifttoyou.com. No, we are not here 24 hours a day. But someone is always popping in and out of the chat room, and I am here Monday - Friday 8 AM cst to 5PM.

Matthew 20

  1. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have comanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
