Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.



Authority Over Our Words

The problem with many Christians is they spend too much time seeking a fast fix, a quick way to God by reading books of others who have already gotten there. If more would seek God (Matthew 6:33, Hebrews11:6) they would get to the place they are seeking instead of remaining lost in everyone else's way they got there.

Now, the next problem (and this is the biggest for all, saved or not) is that we perceive words to mean one thing and say them to mean one thing while others receive them completely wrong.

Think about this - about 10% of people (maybe more) are colorblind and see green and red and sometimes other colors different than we do. What makes them color blind instead of us? Because we are the majority and majority rules

Now in my marriage about 10 years ago we had a problem. We knew each others buttons and would push them on a regular basis. Once we started realizing what we were saying to each other was not the way it was being received we started watching what we said. For the four years before this we had huge fights for the wrong reasons.

I can say this honestly, since then, getting to know our buttons and losing them and then being careful what we said made a major difference in our marriage and with our kids.

We have not fought in so long neither of us can remember when it was we fought last.

Why?

All because of words. I would say something in my dry sense of humor, she would take it as fact and get mad and before I would know what happened we were fighting.

This is so serious that James wrote in the book of James mostly about the tongue and its destructive nature.

Paul told us to take every vain imagination (thought) into captivity and only release through our mouth and allow in us that which was good, all else is to be cast down.

James tells us the tongue is the most deadly part of our body. That old saying "Sticks and Stones my break my Bones, but Words will never hurt me!" is the biggest lie there is. How many of us have heard it and used it? Words do hurt and more than sticks and stones. You could hit me with sticks and stones and in time my body would heal. But the words we put out there are out there for good and can not be taken back. They seep down deep in us until we snap.

I have heard young Christians say, "Go To Hell" jokingly, not realizing it is wrong to say no matter what. Then the person they said it too, might not take it for a joke and could get mad and soon after we could have a fight and someone could get hurt or die.

All because we are not taking authority over our words.

You need to first seek God (Matthew 6:33, Hebrews 11:6, John 14:26, I John 2:20-27) and then follow His direction. We need to review each thought that comes into our mind before ever accepting it. If it is not of God, cast it down.
YES, this means thinking before speaking.

If you want a wonderful marriage, then watch what you say. Only say things that uplift her and build her up. Buy her flowers, send her a card for no reason but to say you love her and in time she will smother you with her love and affection. This works for children, too/ Build them up, uplift them, and let them know you love them. Spend time with them (and of course your wife) and see how they change.

Friends, neighbors, relatives it will work with all. It will take stress away and bring peace, but only you can do it, and you have to start soon. It is never too late to start.

This is a short study with only reference to scriptures, but if you take your time and let this one soak in, it should do as much or more than any to date.
