Last Days

We have all heard that we are in the end times, the last days. I agree; we are, but is it this month, this year, or even this decade? The Jehovah Witnesses did more damage to people who were lost by stating for many years that each year was the last. Here, 30 years later, we are still here. The JW had to do this because they taught that the 144,000 mentioned in the Book of Revelation were all JW and alive back in the early part of the twentieth century. They were starting to die out and that could not be since they were supposed to live through the end. Many other groups have used fear and a lack of knowledge to scare people into believing them. Yes, some today who are saying it are not trying to scare but inform.
My idea is if we treat each day as the last we will find we are OK and make it just fine into the next life. So what if it does not happen for 10 more years? Even I do not think we have that long, neither did some of our forefathers.
Hebrews 1
As in Hebrews the author thought they were in last days almost 2,000 years ago.
LAST
Strong's Ref. # 2078
Romanized eschatos
Pronounced es'-khat-os
a superlative probably from GSN2192 (in the sense of contiguity); farthest, final (of place or time):
KJV--ends of, last, latter end, lowest, uttermost.
TIMES
Strong's Ref. # 5550
Romanized chronos
Pronounced khron'-os
of uncertain derivation; a space of time (in general, and thus properly distinguished from GSN2540, which designates a fixed or special occasion; and from GSN0165, which denotes a particular period) or interval; by extension, an individual opportunity; by implication, delay:
KJV--+ years old, season, space, (X often-)time(-s), (a) while.
1 Peter 1
Here again Peter uses the same words for last times as described above, meaning he thought they were in the last times.
2 Peter 3
Why have people thought this? Mainly because of 2 Peter 3:3 in each age there have been people just as described in 2 Peter 3:3 and this gives credence to their own agenda.
Another reason is some people are tired and ready to go, and those who have lost someone have a tendency to be ready more than others.
Should we want the end times?
Yes and no. Yes, because we should all believe in the next life and want it more than this one (mainly due to the time we will have with God). But no because so many would be left out and imagine if this happened before you were saved.
Remember in the next life there is no work, no chance to be used by the Father. We need to make the most of it now. 80 years working, Vs eternity resting.
Do not get me wrong; I think hearing from Kenneth Copeland or Hilton Sutton is a blessing, but the problem is that many are not like these two and are misleading people world wide.
I have always believed in hearing from God, following Him, and trying to avoid all the negative.
At least when I watch TV in the world system I know to ignore it all, but in Christian TV or radio I am not sure and it is harder to ignore. Then I have to spend more time finding out the truth than it would have taken to research it in the first place. Many people do not realize this.
