Covenant

A covenant is a promise made between two who will not allow anything to come in between this covenant and them. God made a covenant with man by placing a rainbow in the sky to remind us that He will never destroy us by water again. God made a covenant with Abraham; that is what we are studying here. If you go back and read Exodus, about how Israel left Egypt, you will discover the following: The ninth plague is our salvation. The death of the first born, Jesus was God's only begotten Son. The lamb's blood was used to protect Israel that night as the lamb's blood (Jesus) protects us today. The door posts in those days looked like two crosses, so as the blood of the lamb went on the door posts it made it appear as two crosses. The point is that Israel had a covenant with God that dated back to Abraham and God honored it. Today we are of that covenant, a blood covenant of His Son. How much more will we or should we have than those who did not have the fullness of the covenant? As in #1, they were healed, healthy, and strong, in our covenant we are promised, "by His stripes you are healed". In #2 the burden of making bricks was removed and their lack filled with the wealth of Egypt. In #3 they were fed. The list goes on. Egypt and the Pharaoh represent the world and the world system. When you believe for supernatural things the world system will try to stop you from believing and receiving as they did in Egypt. Moses was a type of Jesus. He was the savior of Israel. God used him to show that God is God, and He is the one and only God. So Israel had Moses (savior) God's chosen, Egypt the world system, and Pharaoh (Satan) the 9 plagues, one of which is our salvation - the blood of the lamb and the death of the first born. We have Jesus (savior), we still have a world system (debt, bondage, sickness), we still have Satan. But we have the anointing and by the anointing we are set free. To be free we must believe and act like it and not like the world. Proverbs 13 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. I have shown how the wealth of the sinner (Egypt) was laid up for the just (Israel). How much more do you have a right to it today being of the blood of Jesus? Yes, they were of the blood of Abraham, but we are of the blood of Jesus. Proverbs 22 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. So many of us are living in debt and sickness. Our children are raised with this as a fact. But if we show our children a way of living debt free and healthy, they would live that way as adults also. So, how can you do this? Luke 4 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Isaiah 10 Again we see a reference to the anointing. "In that day" refers to the day of the Lord. What would happen? Our burden shall be taken away and the yoke destroyed. A yoke is sin, sickness, debt, and our burden is the worry there of. 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. What is the acceptable year of the Lord? Well we saw part of it above about the anointing removing our yoke and burden. Ever since Jesus came and was sacrificed for our sins it has been the acceptable year of the Lord, the Jubilee. Leviticus 25 25:3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; 25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. 25:5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land. 25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee. 25:7 And for thy cMattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat. 25:8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 25:9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. 25:10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. 25:11 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. 25:12 For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. 25:13 In the year of this jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession. 25:14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another: 25:15 According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee: 25:16 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee The acceptable year of the Lord is when everything is returned to whom it belongs, the return of health, lands, wealth, joy, peace and so on. Our not working, but enjoying the Lord.. Deuteronomy 28 2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed Galatians 3 Christ is a Greek word for the anointing; so if you are of Christ, you are the seed of Abraham and of the yoke destroying, burden removing power of God by His anointing. Jesus saved us, and being of Christ connects us to all that is ours from the covenant God made with Abraham through Jesus and His blood He spilled for us. Plead the Blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, and the Word of God (Jesus John 1:14) over your self, your family, your home, your cars and all you own daily. Believe in the power of God through His anointing in His Son to help you be more than a conquerer. Here are a few verses to get you started, afterwards start reading in Matthew and go through Revelations. John 14 I John 2 Hebrews 11 Romans 8 Romans 10 Philippians 4 19. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if
thou shalt heMarken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
28:3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the
field.
28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground,
and the fruit of thy cMattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy
sheep.
28:5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
28:6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be
when thou goest out.
28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be
smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee
before thee seven ways.
28:8 The LORD shall comand the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses,
and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the
land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
