The Word

In this study I pray that God opens your eyes and gives you revelation
knowledge of His Word (Amen).
In the following study we will find out two important facts about the word
“Word”. First in
John 1:1-3, 14 we find out nothing was made without the Word. And the
Word became flesh and was and is Jesus.
John 1:1-3,14
- (NKJ) Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
- (NKJ) Jn 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
- (NKJ) Jn 1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made.
- (NKJ) Jn 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we
beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of
grace and truth.
So all was created by words, in the beginning God said and it was.
- (NKJ)
Lk 1:38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be
to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
ary agreed with the angel and by the word she was made pregnant.
- (NKJ) Jn
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken
to you.
This person was cleansed by the word.
- (NKJ) Lk
4:36 Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying,
"What a word this {is!} For with authority and power He comands the
unclean spirits, and they come out."
And by this word unclean spirits (demons) were cast out. So by the spoken
word creation came to be, demons are cast out. Mary became pregnant, and
people were and are healed.
And as we go further in this study you will learn how important it is to
watch what you say. As you are created in God’s image. And the earth and
all about it is to act upon words, we sometimes find ourselves in the very
same fix we feared. And if you look back you can see where you spoke it
and it happened. You see faith and fear act on spoken words. All fear is,
is twisted faith. So fear like faith acts on what is heard. Having a hard
time with this are you ? Well, then what about the old saying “sticks and
stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”. Think about
that saying, now how many times have wars started over words. A fight with
friends or family over words. And how often do our words cut to the very
heart of someone’s soul. And how many children have recovered from
beatings, but still suffer from verbal abuse. No, my friends words do hurt
and more than sticks and stones. Most of the time the word is actually a
message. What is a message but a string of words. And how often does a
string of words hurt more than just a word. In the following verses I
have placed message in each verse along with word.
John 2:22,4:39-41,49-50,5:24,37-38,8:31-32
- (NKJ) Jn 2:22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His
disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the
Scripture and the word (message) which Jesus had said.
- (NKJ) Jn 4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him
because of the word (message) of the woman who testified, "He told me all
that I {ever} did."
- (NKJ) Jn 4:40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him
to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.
- (NKJ) Jn 4:41 And many more believed because of His own word
(message).
- (NKJ) Jn 4:49 The nobleman said to Him, "Sir, come down before my
child dies!"
- (NKJ) Jn 4:50 Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your son lives." So
the man believed the word (message) that Jesus spoke to him, and he went
his way.
- (NKJ) Jn 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word
(message) and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall
not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
- (NKJ) Jn 5:37 "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of
e. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.
- (NKJ) Jn 5:38 "But you do not have His word (message) abiding in you,
because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.
- (NKJ) Jn 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you
abide (live) in My word (message), you are My disciples indeed.
- (NKJ) Jn 8:32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free."
So if the message or word live in you, it will always if it is The Word
(Jesus) make the truth known to you. And by the truth you know you will be
made free in that area.
John 8:43-44
- (NKJ)
Jn 8:43
"Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able
to listen to My word (message).
- (NKJ) Jn 8:44 "You are of {your} father the devil, and the desires of
your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and
{does not} stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he
speaks a lie, he speaks from his own {resources,} for he is a liar and the
father of it.
Why do so many have trouble with the word or message of Jesus and
salvation. Because they have been fed the lie so much and so often. That
now the truth is hard to understand. If you hear something enough, and
from enough people without anyone showing the flip side, you start to
believe. And that is what has happened to so many, we have allowed the
lie in every area of our life and no one has contested it until just in
the past few years.
John 8:51,12:47-48
- (NKJ) Jn 8:51 "Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word
(message)he shall never see death."
- (NKJ) Jn 12:47 "And if anyone hears My words (message) and does not
believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to
save the world.
- (NKJ) Jn 12:48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words
(message), has that which judges him, the word that I have spoken will
judge him in the last day.
So what was the message (word)?
Luke 4:18-19
- (NKJ) Lk 4:18 "The Spirit of the LORD {is} upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to {the} poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to {the} captives
And recovery of sight to {the} blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
- (NKJ) Lk 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."
Also if you understand that Christ is a Greek word which in English means
The Anointed One. Then you will know that by Luke 4:18 Jesus was saying He
is the Christ. The Anointed One. And just what is the Anointed One:
- (NKJ)
1Cor 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ (The Anointed One) the power of God and the wisdom
of God.
And what will the anointing of the Anointed One do?
- (KJV)
Isa 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, {that}
his burden shall be taken away from off thy
shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and
the yoke shall be destroyed because of the
anointing.
The Jews had been waiting centuries for the Anointing. Can we have the
anointing? Yes.
- (KJV) 1Jn
2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him
abideth in you, and ye need not that any man
teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth
you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie,
and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide
So why was Jesus saying if the message or word does not live in you, you
will not have eternal life? Three reasons, first because the word is
Jesus. (John
1:14) . And Jesus is the door, and without the door you can not
enter. Second without the word you are in darkness, and in darkness you
can not see to find your way. And then you are lost and fall into the pit.
Third because only in THE WORD can truth be found. And if THE WORD does
not live in you to overcome the lie, you will be lead astray. If it were
not for Satan this would not be needed. But since Satan is and does exist,
we have to have a light to make it through the darkness. And the Word is
the light that lights our path.
John 17:17,Luke 3:2,5:5,7:7
- (NKJ) Jn 17:17 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word (message)is
truth.
- (NKJ) Lk 3:2 while Annas and Caiaphas were high priests, the
word (message) of God came to John the son of Zacharias in
the wilderness.
- (NKJ) Lk 5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we
have toiled all night and caught nothing;
nevertheless at Your word (comand) I will let down the
net."
- (NKJ) Lk 7:7 "Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to
come to You. But say the word (comand), and my servant
will be healed.
In the above two verses the word is a comand, and by following it, Peter
got a great catch and the Centurion’s servant was made well.
Luke 8:11-17
- (NKJ) Lk 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word (message)
of God.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:12 "Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then
the devil comes and takes away the word (message) out of
their hearts, lest they should believe and be
saved.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:13 "But the ones on the rock {are those} who, when
they hear, receive the word (message) with joy; and these
have no root, who believe for a while and in time
of temptation fall away.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:14 "Now the ones {that} fell among thorns are those
who, when they have heard, go out and are choked
with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and
bring no fruit to maturity.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:15 "But the ones {that} fell on the good ground are
those who, having heard the word (message) with a noble and
good heart, keep {it} and bear fruit with
patience.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:16 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a
vessel or puts {it} under a bed, but sets {it} on
a lampstand, that those who enter may see the
light.
- (NKJ) Lk 8:17 "For nothing is secret that will not be revealed,
nor {anything} hidden that will not be known and
come to light.
The message or word is revealed or comes by revelation.
Matthew 16:15-19
- Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
- Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ,
the Son of the living God.
- Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou,
Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but
my Father which is in heaven.
- Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon
this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.
- Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of
heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:
and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
In the above Jesus named Simon Barjona “Peter”, which means a piece of the
rock. And then Jesus says upon this rock, which is the rock. I will build
my church. So based upon Simon Barjona receiving a revelation from God, or
revealed truth of who the Christ (The Anointed One) is, is what Jesus
builds His church. So by the word or message come revealed knowledge or
revelation.
Luke 8:18,Mark 2:2,4:33,5:35-36
- (NKJ) Lk 8:18 "Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever
has, to him {more} will be given; and whoever
does not have, even what he seems to have will be
taken from him."
- (NKJ) Mk 2:2 Imediately many gathered together, so that there
was no longer room to receive {them,} not even
near the door. And He preached the word (message) to them.
- (NKJ) Mk 4:33 And with many such parables He spoke the word (message) to
them as they were able to hear {it.}
- (NKJ) Mk 5:35 While He was still speaking, {some} came from the
ruler of the synagogue's {house} who said, "Your
daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any
further?"
- (NKJ) Mk 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word (message)that was spoken,
He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be
afraid; only believe."
Did you notice in the above two verses some came and brought a message
that was of fear? But Jesus said do not be afraid. Don’t allow fear to
choke off what your faith can produce.
- (NKJ) Mk
7:13 "making the word (message) of God of no effect through your
tradition which you have handed down. And many
such things you do."
The above verse is another way to choke the message.
Mark 8:31-33
- (NKJ) Mk 8:31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man
must suffer many things, and be rejected by the
elders and chief priests and scribes, and be
killed, and after three days rise again.
- (NKJ) Mk 8:32 He spoke this word (message) openly. And Peter took Him
aside and began to rebuke Him.
- (NKJ) Mk 8:33 But when He had turned around and looked at His
disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind
Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things
of God, but the things of men."
In the above three verses is a good example of how Satan will try to give us thoughts that are not of faith and God, but of fear and Satan. Jesus shows us what we should do and that is rebuke such thoughts and never speak them.
Romans 10:8-10
- (NKJ) Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The word (message) is near you, in
your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word (message)
of faith which we preach):
- (NKJ) Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
- (NKJ) Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.
So by the message (word) that comes from your mouth you are saved or
condemned. Not by God, but by your own mouth. Here, look at an example
Jesus gave.
- (NKJ) Lk
19:22 "And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I
will judge you, {you} wicked servant. You knew
that I was an austere man, collecting what I did
not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.
So how do we control our words and our message?
- (NKJ)
Rom 10:17 So then faith {comes} by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God.
By our faith and our faith comes by what we allow to come into our
thoughts and our spirit. If it is of God, then our message and words will
be of life. If it is of the world, then of death and destruction. It is
your choice, so you choose, but I suggest you choose life.
y prayer for you is that the words of your mouth are of life.(Amen)
