This is my shortest Bible Study ever, and probably my most important ever. Were we saved by
Yes, Jesus is the Christ, but it was the blood of Jesus that saves us, and the Word says:
9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
What is the big deal?
If you ask a person if they are saved they say
"I am a Christian" I found more times than not they do not know what that means and know even less about Jesus. To them attending church and giving is all that matters, not a personal relationship with Jesus or even knowing who Jesus is. My point is we have used "Christian" so much that it has no meaning. Confessing to be a Christian will not save anyone .Salvation only comes by confessing Jesus, and not just Jesus, but
LORD JESUS.And to believe that God raised him from the dead. If someone does not know or believe this, then how can they be saved?
Just consider this, how can we confess Christianty and not know Jesus and say we are saved? Or what glory is really given to Jesus when we confess something that has no meaning.
