Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow

Everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go

It followed her to school one day
Which was against the rules.

It made the children laugh and play,
To see a lamb at school

And so the teacher turned it out,
But still it lingered near

And waited patiently about,
Till Mary did appear

"Why does the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry

"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know."
The teacher did reply

Why am I sending you a nursery poem?

If you never have looked at the words before so now.

Mary had a little lamb.

Jesus was the lamb lead to slaughter for us.

Mary was the name of Jesus mother.

Its fleece was white as snow.

What is white in the word of God, clean it is what we are after we accept His blood.

Everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go

Where is Jesus, He is where ever we are so He goes where we go.

It followed her to school one day
Which was against the rules.

Of course He follows us as the lamp in this poem did, and it is against a lot of rules today to talk about Him with others.

It made the children laugh and play,
To see a lamb at school

You fill this one in, it has a lot more meaning than one sentence can do it justice.

And so the teacher turned it out,
But still it lingered near
No matter what Jesus will not leave us, He remains till the end.

And waited patiently about,
Till Mary did appear
Jesus waits patiently on us.

"Why does the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry
This one we should all know well.

"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know."
The teacher did reply

Only difference is Jesus loved us first, but still you get the idea of this poem in reference to the Lord.
