Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Keep the Father's Commandments

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

If you need healing or prosperity (if you are suffering from some illness, debt, lack) then the problem is you are not following His commandments. All who follow His commandments will be blessed.

John 15

10. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

So many people think of the Ten Commandments when they hear or read the Father's Commandments without realizing that all of God and His commandments can be reduced to two.

Matthew 22

36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38. This is the first and great commandment.

39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

For God, and for us as well, love is the answer. The problem is we look at love from the world’s view and the love in our life, which is not the same love.

John 3

16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

"God so loved the world," that means all, no exceptions. He allowed His only begotten Son to suffer so much on our behalf, paying a price, which He did not have to pay, that we could not pay.

John 14

6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is only one way to the Father and His love and it is through Jesus:

Matthew 10

32. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

If you think that you are OK during hard times (where death could be the result) believing in Jesus in your heart but not confessing Him is sufficient, you are dead wrong.

Acts 6

5. And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Stephen was FULL of FAITH and the HOLY GHOST.

Acts 6

8. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

He did great wonders and miracles among the people due to His faith and the power of God in and through him.

Acts 7

55. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58. And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

59. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

By all rights Stephen could have blamed them for stoning him for no reason, but instead he forgave them and asked the Lord not to add this sin to them. When one like Stephen, who is full of the Spirit and faith, and knows the Lord well, dies a violent death they do not notice it because they are already leaving the body to be in the presence of God. Notice it does not say he suffered or even felt the stones. It says he asked God not to add the sin against them and gave up the spirit and died.

Matthew 12

35. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

We will be judged for the same reason that we know or do not know Jesus. The word idle in verse 36 means words not of the knowledge of God or about God. So we will be judged on all words we speak that are not about God. We are not judged by God or Jesus or by what they did or we did not do, but based on the words of our mouth.

The smallest member of the body gets us in the most trouble, the tongue. When we learn to control it we truly will be blessed.

If a man or woman are trained up in the word, the love, and light of God they are prepared to say not anything that will lead to judgement or get them into judging, condemning, strife, etc. Instead they will respond with words of love and forgiveness.

Example: You have a bad day at work and on the way home traffic was worse than ever. As soon as you sit down your wife nags on you about how you two never go anywhere or do anything. All you want to do is rest and she continues and continues, until you finally say something you should not out of anger, offense, etc. Then it becomes all out war and the rest of the night is even worse than the day was.

Reflecting back, you admit to yourself that it would have been easier and better if you had just taken her out for a walk, but your ego and pride will not let you go to her and apologize. She started it and she does nothing but sit around watch television and eat while you are slaving away at work. Never mind the house is always clean, you always have clean clothes, and she really does not spend anything unless she has to. So what would it have hurt to take her for a walk, out to dinner, etc? Nothing, but your pride is still in the way. You go through this in your head all night not sleeping well. The next day is even worse due to the lack of sleep than the day before. You get home and she is not there but she left you a note. She has gone to stay with her mom for a few days.

Well as you can see, a word or the way a word is said is all it takes for us to lose it. I had many times in the early part of my marriage to experience it and know it first hand. Thank God He taught us how to overcome this and we have. We have had maybe one fight in 10 years and it lasted only 15 minutes. No matter what comes, short of cash, lack of money, sickness, boredom, etc we have learned to overcome it and enjoy each other’s company even after (almost) 20 years.

So much can lead us down a path to anger, strife, etc. A car cuts off on the way to work, we have a flat tire, we spill our coffee all over our shirt, the boss chews us out for another's mistake, etc.

How many are like sheep? I do not mean the sheep of the Lord but the sheep of the world, those who are zoned out on 2-4 hours a night of television, listening to talk radio, or watching the news. Our pulse increases and we want to do something about what is going on with the price of gas, or those who seem to live off those who are less fortunate. In time we get to where we listen to certain talk radio shows, watch certain news broadcasts, believe all we hear, get angry, and really can not say why or who specifically we are angry at.

The point is it is one of Satan's ways of keeping us down and under his thumb. He plays on our emotions, plants thoughts that are not ours, and he tries to convince us that they are our own. Some start believing it since the thoughts are in their mind, they think they must be their own thoughts. At first they cast them down, but in time they dwell on them and make them theirs. Over time, watching the devastation and catastrophes of the world, they believe the thoughts even more. They think the thoughts are what is God saying to them, telling them the world is a wicked evil place and their children will never remain saved. They think about how much worse the world will be in 20, 30, or more years. Then in time the mother most likely, but it can be the father, starts to believe that the best thing for their children is if they die now and avoid the evil and wicked world.

If you think this is far-fetched think again. Just a couple of years ago a woman in the Houston area who drowned her children due to thoughts she had, said she thought was God telling her to do it.

Jesus even warned us that we would follow people we thought were of God but were wolves in sheep's clothing. Think of the 900 that followed Jim Jones to Africa and their deaths, or the 100+ who died following David Koresh in Waco Texas. I mean really think about it. 900+, including the children, believed so much in Jim Jones they sold everything, followed him to Africa, and ended up taking their own lives because he told them to.

Matthew 7

13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

We have to beware of false prophets. False prophets above are also false leaders, false teachers, etc.

Matthew 7

20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In verse 22 Jesus describes those that would appear to be of God by all outward appearances and actions, but in verse 23 Jesus calls them workers of evil and tells them to depart. Why? Because He never knew them, of course He knew of them, but they never took the time to spend with Him to know Him and for Him to know them.

He warns above about fruit not being the fruit of ones labors, but the fruit no one can copy and have in and through them unless they are of the Spirit–the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5

22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

How do we know we are saved, to be sure we are not of the workers of evil who think they are of Him and are not?

Romans 8

16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

We know we are saved, and have no doubt when we hear God call us His children.

How do we get to the point to hear Him call us His children?

Revelation 3

19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Above Jesus said that He would go in and join with all that would listen and hear His voice and His knocking, and open the door and let Him in. This is not attending, church services, praying, or reading the word. This is taking time daily to start with prayer and His word, but more so to listen for and to Him. We do this daily until we hear Him, no matter how many days, weeks, or months it might take.

Why would it take so long? How old was Abraham when God told him to leave his father's house? Abram was his name for 75 years, and when he was 75 he heard God tell him to leave. When he did he became Abraham. It took God 75 years to get through to Abraham to leave.

Some of you are thinking that God can do anything so why should it take so long? Because God does not force, yes He could force it and be instant as soon as you started to listen. But then God would be a liar and all of His promises would not matter. He is not a man that He can lie. He gave us dominion over the earth and that means even God must seek our permission to do something or talk to us and through us to others. Plus, since God is a Spirit, He talks to us through His Spirit to our spirit. For this even to be able to happen we must have a spirit that is connected to His Spirit.

John 3

3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Once we are born again of His Spirit, we can grow in our spirit by way of His Spirit, love, and word. Remember when you were born in the flesh you were just a baby. Guess what? The same is true when we are born again.

1 John 2

20. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

20.

|2532| And

|5210| you

|5545| an anointing

|2192| have

|0575| from

|3588| the

|0040| Holy One,

|2532| and

|1492| you know

|3956| all.

1 John 2

21. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

We are to be taught, not by man, but by the Spirit that resides in us, His Spirit.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

From being born again, and growing in Him, and Him in us we start to understand His word not just interpret it, as well as learning about His love.

1 John 1

4. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

John 1

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

1 John 1

6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We have to admit the truth. First we must know the truth to admit it, and the truth can only be found in the Spirit and His word, not in the world.

John 15

26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Once we know the Spirit, the Spirit begins to show us where the lie and the darkness are in us. The Spirit removes it and replaces it with truth and light.

1 John 2

1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7. Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

8. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

12. I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

13. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

1 John 2

20. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

20.

|2532| And

|5210| you

|5545| an anointing

|2192| have

|0575| from

|3588| the

|0040| Holy One,

29. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

We are to be taught by the anointing, not by man. So what is the anointing?

Luke 4

18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus said He was anointed with the Spirit of the Lord. Since He is the Christ and Christ means anointed then being of Christ is being of the anointing or the Spirit of God in us, on us, and through us.

1 Corinthians 13

1. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

If we do not understand His love we understand nothing. It is by His love that we are saved, that our faith works, and that we have grace. It is by His love we are even born in the first place. As any Father, God wants us to love Him, respect Him, seek His guidance, and believe.

Matthew 7

11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Once you understand His love for you, then you are not just saved and born again, but you are of all the promises and blessings of Him.

Matthew 6

33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Seek not God's hand for what He can give you, but seek Him for who He IS and all the rest will happen. All you seek, need, and desire will be yours. I must all start with your seeking Him for Him.

Hebrews 11

6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We are saved by grace through faith, so without faith we can not be saved, and if we are not saved we can not be healed, prosperous, etc.

Below is the verse from I John 1-2 that shows us what we need to avoid and not be part of:

1 John 1

6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Walking in darkness here is but one aspect of being in the darkness:

Galatians 5

19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 John 1

8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

No man or woman has lived since Adam and Eve that has not sinned, told a lie, did something against another, etc.

1 John 1

10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Those who have His word in them, that His word lives in them, know they have sinned. But those who do not have His word living in them can be deceived and believe falsehoods.

1 John 2

4. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Jesus never broke the commandments. If we are of Him we will not either, but if we do, and repent He will forgive us.

1 John 2

9. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

Hate is of evil; it grows, and it grows, and it grows, and it devours all that is in us until one day there is nothing in us but hate and the fruit of hate, violence, wickedness, etc.

1 John 2

11. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Hate comes from judging, condemning, strife, offense, and not forgiving.

1 John 2

15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The world is of Satan. The world system is of Satan. Thus, those who love the world and the world system do not love God.

1 John 2

16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

If nothing else you get out of the 500+ studies I have been blessed to write, or all your reading of the Bible, I pray you get His love, because with His love the rest really does fall into place. But to truly get His love you must come to know Him, not just know of Him.

Those of you who seek Him keep His commandments, love Him with all that you are, and love all as you love yourself. If you will do this from the heart then you will find Him; your faith will grow; and all the blessings will be yours.

Here is a tip–it does not matter if anyone loves you as long as you love everyone. God will be behind you all the way with His love.
