Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Stand There For

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

As I write this I am going through a period of having to stand, for others, and myself for spiritual and physical manifestations. This is what I have learned to do, when you stand it is a time of building patience and faith.

James 1:3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 1:4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

This is how we prepare to stand...

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

This means you have no lie found in you and you are in right standing with God. What do we need for this?

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is a big part, forgiving others and one's self.

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Gospel means good news, and peace only comes from God and is of God.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,There is a saying I like to use, fear knocked at the door, but faith opened it and nothing was there. Meaning faith overcomes all fear;

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We are covered by the blood of Jesus; that is our salvation.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

In Job 42:7-17 Job prayed for his friends and all was turned around and he got back more than he lost. Prayers do avail much if they are done by a righteous person, one with forgiveness, one is truly seeking God and not God's handouts.

Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Hebrews 10:34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Confidence and faith are the same, confidence in God and His Word.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Faith is the substance of what we hope for and proof of that which is not yet seen.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith is not in us; it comes by hearing. How do you have faith in someone but by seeing and hearing what they do and have done? So by hearing the word and the promises your faith comes and you have great faith, because it is built on the Word which is real and true and neverending VS someone who can let you down and is not for ever.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

So we are to stand, letting our patience and faith work. While standing we should be forgiving and receiving forgiveness, repenting of all wrong. We should use the time to spend with God and prepare for the battle.

We are in a constant war with evil. We must prepare (time with God in prayer and word). This is our time standing, getting ready in all areas. Then we go into battle and come our either defeated (because we were not prepared and ready) or overcomers and victorious and praising. But we should go into battle praising, knowing we will be victorious. What makes us victorious but our time with God and our praise of Him during the battle. We are not victorious but He who is in us is, and if He is in control we will win.

What are we victorious in? What do we win? What ever we are in battle for. It may be overcoming something of the world, a sin that holds us, or a financial problem, or a healing, or just life itself.

Remember God does not bring bad in our lives; we do. He may let us play with it, but it was not Him that brought it. Satan forced it on us and we accepted it and then tolerated it and played with it. If we would just turn towards God and allow Him to have His way with us, we would avoid a lot of grief.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Remembering faith is NOW, not tomorrow or yesterday, but NOW Faith.

So have and use faith NOW and stand. What for? What ever you need to stand there for.

My prayer for you is that you do all the standing you need and receive what ever it is you are standing for.
