Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Spirit Vs Physical (Flesh)
Part I of II

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

What you are about to read is about the difference between the physical and the Spiritual. From the beginning the problem with Adam's sin has been a spiritual problem more than a physical. The problem with mankind is that mankind is very near sighted spiritually speaking. We generally can not see far enough ahead to know what is really needed.

From the beginning with the children of Israel and Moses through present day mankind has only been able to see in the physical and has not perceived the spiritual at all. If you look at the paintings containing religious themes such as the Last Supper, the problem is that they are not accurate, but viewers believe they are true to life. The actual last meal that Jesus participated in would have been on low couches or pillows with all the people reclining to eat. In the days when Jesus walked the earth people did not sit around a table in chairs as was painted by Leonardo da Vinci. As far as who sat where in relationship to Jesus, no one really knows the order. We tend to perceive the Last Supper based on this one painting.

Most of the paintings portraying Jesus are not accurate either. Based on where He lived, his genetic ancestry, and how much time He spent out side He would not have been pale or blonde. He probably had dark, oiled curly hair, and a dark tan complexion.

The idea is this, mankind can not see beyond the physical. In the days of Moses the people of Israel rejected God as their king and wanted a man as king. When Jesus was here Israel did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah because they were looking for a physical king to rule them not a spiritual one. Today most people have to have a ritual to follow. They think they need traditions even if they are not based on scripture. They seek everything in the physical and most have trouble accepting the spiritual at all. Due to this they are as lost as the Jews of Israel who rejected and crucified Jesus 2000 years ago.

Seek the spiritual, not the physical. God is here and everywhere, but He is a Spirit. A relationship with Him can only be pursued in the spirit, not the flesh. Those seeking goose bumps or a burning their breast are missing the entire point as well. Goose bumps, feelings, etc are all of the flesh but God is a Spirit.

Mark 4

9. And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10. And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

11. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

12. That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

The point of verse 12 is if they could perceive and understand this parable they would have their sins forgiven, but not the price paid for the sins. Without the price being paid they did not have a chance. Forgiveness is what salvation is about but it can only achieved along with the price being paid for the sins.

Most do not have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. This is talking about spiritual eyes and ears, not physical sensory organs. Do not fall into the same trap the Jews of Jesus’ day did by seeking a physical king and savior and miss Him completely by looking in the physical when it was all about the spiritual.

One thing I have learned is what ever is not accepted usually (not always) is a danger to the enemy. He has done his best to keep us from believing in or accepting anything that threatens him or his agenda.

  1. It is taught that faith ended in the first century church. Even those who teach faith these days do not teach it completely.
  2. It is taught that the Spirit ended in the first century church as well. Again the enemy is afraid of our learning the truth about the Spirit. He knows that if we get in the Spirit he is doomed.
  3. Knowledge such as the true meaning of Christ has been forgotten until the last half of the last century. That was when we re-learned that Christ was not the last name of Jesus or His title but was actually about the spirit of God.

Hosea 4

6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

(Revelation 1

6. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.)

We are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. This has nothing to do with earthly knowledge taught by mankind but that which is taught by God.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

It says, "Shall TEACH YOU ALL THINGS," not just those of God, but all things.

Remember Satan knows full well the importance of knowledge, faith, and the Spirit. So he did his best to keep all three from us.

Some teach that faith ended in the first century because they tried faith once and it did not work for them. Maybe some man or woman taught them that and they believed it because it justified why they did not have to spend time learning and developing faith.

Ephesians 2

8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

So if faith ended in the first century, how are we saved today? That would mean that salvation was only for the first century church. I have learned if it smells bad it is rotten, and the teaching on faith ending not only stinks, it is poisonous.

The same is true for teachings about the Spirit. There are those who tried being of the spirit and nothing happened so they figured if they could not be of the Spirit it must have been for the first century church only.

John 4

23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is a Spirit and those who teach the spirit ended in the first century are teaching God ended in the first century. The sad thing is that many believe this.

Matthew 10

32. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

By professing Jesus you state that He is Lord, and that you believe He died and was raised from the dead and is alive today. This requires faith to profess and could not be possible without the spirit.

Matthew 23

13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Do you really think that the scribes and Pharisees of old were any different than some of the religious leaders of today?

1 Corinthians 1

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

In verse 12 above where it states Cephas enter the name of the denomination where you attend. As you see so far problems today are no different than those 2000 years ago. Men and women went to the temple on Saturday, listened to a man of God talk or read scripture, and gave their tithe and offerings.

They misunderstood Jesus when they heard Him say the temple would be torn down and rebuilt in three days. They thought only of the physical temple. That is why they did not recognize Jesus as their Messiah for whom they had waited so long.

Even today so many consider the spirit to be some elusive thing of mystery that ended in first century church. It is either that or something of ghosts and demons. I have had people who are pastors call me a "spiritualist" (in a very negative way) and others look at me like I am nuts to believe in the Spirit.

Matthew 7

15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7

  1. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Galatians 5

22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Matthew 7

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus did not come to start another new religion or church. In Revelation 1-3 He talks about seven churches and only one is the correct church; the other six are not. There are seven continents on the earth only one does not have permanent residents, just visitors who visit every so often like His church.

His church is not something physical as in buildings, etc. His church is the individual, which most understand, but that is only half of it. The church is not just any and every individual who says they believe in Jesus. The true church is those who have heard God the Father regarding who Jesus is as the Son and the Christ.

Matthew 16

15. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

In verse 18 above in the original language (Greek) Peter is Petros. Petros means Peter as a proper name but it also means a piece of the rock. Isn't it funny that first of all Simon was called Peter before Matthew 18 so this would not be Simon’s being named Peter. Also Petros means piece of the rock and right after that Jesus says "upon this rock". He does not say, "upon Peter", but "upon this rock". Jesus was establishing the rock as a base for His church and the rock is the revealed knowledge of Whom He is as the Son and the Christ.

Hearing is imperative, because we hear the call and are saved. We hear the revelation of whom Jesus is and become a piece of the rock (church). We hear the Holy Spirit testify to our spirit that we are children of God and then we know without a doubt that we are saved and no one can steal it from us. We all can hear from God but many people mix up their call for salvation or to be a piece of the rock with a call to be in the ministry.

Romans 8

16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

God is a spirit and we are to worship Him in truth and Spirit.

John 4

24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Search out in the New Testament how many times we are told to walk and live in the Spirit.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

How can we be taught if we can not hear?

One day recently I told some Jehovah’s Witnesses that we could actually hear from God. They could not wait to get away and looked at me as if I was crazy.

The point is if there is a lot of effort put forth to prove something wrong or not to exist such as faith, spirit, and hearing God then those are the areas where it must be the enemy at work. Of course we all understand why he does not want us to believe in God, but why faith? By now you should know. Because without faith you can not be saved and if you are not saved you are his. Satan attacks the Spirit of course because without the Spirit we are not of God. He attacks hearing directly from God because with that ability we will know the truth and Satan will lose us for good. Anyone who believes that we can talk to God but He can not talk to us is either a non-believer or crazy.

There are even those who do not believe Jesus came in the flesh at all.

1 John 4

1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

How about those who teach that we are not saved if we are not baptized in water?

Matthew 3

11. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

I guess they do not believe John. If you are not sure about Spiritual Baptism over water baptism, research how many of the apostles were baptized in water Vs spirit. Also research how many water baptisms spoken of in Acts were of the Apostles. After Acts find any mention of anyone baptizing in water. Yes, John baptized Jesus in water but He did it for two reasons. One was John was preparing the way for Him and He was the one John prophesied. As Jesus came up out of the water the Spirit descended upon Him like a dove. This was showing the end of one form of baptism for the one and true baptism. The second reason was that Jesus did all that was of the law.

If you believe you can not be saved without being baptized in water then you are saying salvation is of man and you can achieve salvation on our own.

Ephesians 2

8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Before you get all offended over this about Baptism understand I believe we should be baptized in water to show our faith, but I never could believe we are saved by anything we or another can do outside of what Jesus did for us.

Matthew 28

The word baptism means to immerse, to cover completely. So when Jesus said, "Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" that was only one name and only one baptism, of the Spirit. The physical side would be baptize them in the knowledge of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and water to show their faith, not for salvation.

1 Corinthians 12

13. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

One Spirit, one baptism, that is the one of which Jesus spoke.

Acts 11

14. Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15. And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18. When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

The word Christ is Christos in Greek meaning to anoint. To anoint is to have what ever you are anointed with, in you, on you, and through you. The same as being immersed (Baptized) so Christ means the spirit of God, in us, on us and all the way through us. Just as a sponge that is dripping water is anointed in water we are to be saturated in the Spirit of God.

Luke 4

18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Acts 13

23. Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

24. When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

  1. And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

John fulfilled his course; then Jesus started and brought us the one true baptism of His Father.

Acts 18

25. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Above we read that the man knew only the baptism of John and if the water was it as far as baptism why would the above verse reference another.

Acts 19

2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Paul said it above the best to believe on the One who came after John including the baptism that One brought.

Those who teach water baptism as salvation may very well be those Jesus spoke of in:

Matthew 7

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works

There are many false teachers; some do not even realize they are and will argue until the cows come home that they are right and others are wrong.

The reason it is so important to hear from God is to verify who is telling the truth and to know what the truth is.

Matthew 12

25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Jesus warned us about division. If you want to know what the true religion would be look at the division in Christianity as compared to all others. The reason there is so much division is that Satan did his work well and early on. The others are not so divided because they are already doing Satan’s work whether or not they even realize it.

John 14

6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No one can know God, be of God, have a chance with God, or be saved unless they go through Jesus.

I have run many surveys over the years on godsgifttoyou.com and reached thousands. Here are the top five false teachings believed by anywhere from 50% and up.

  1. Does God have a separate covenant with anyone? 58% either said yes or did not know. (John 14:6)
  2. Can you be saved without being baptized in water? 54% either said no or did not know (Ephesians 2:8)
  3. Did Jesus come in the flesh? 64% either did not know or said No. (I John 4:1-3)
  4. Did others rise with Jesus? (Matthew 27:52-53) 65% said no or did not know.
  5. Do you have to forgive to be forgiven? 60% said no or did not know. (Matthew 6:14-15)

Matthew 6

14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The sad thing is how many do not believe Jesus is the only way to God, that you have to be baptized in water to be saved, or how many do not know Jesus came in the flesh. So how can so many believe when scripture points out so clearly that they are wrong?

One problem is that we trust in others. We might trust in someone because they attended a school of some kind to be our leaders in our church, because they know more than we do about the Bible. If you realized what most go through to be ordained or licensed you may not trust some so easily again. Most attend a four-year college. Only one maybe two of the eight semesters will be about the word. The rest will be about money, psychology, people management, etc. Then some attend a 1 - 2 year Bible school where they teach the word but only in the physical sense. They put very little if any importance on the spiritual side of the word or actually hearing from God. Then some pay someone on line to get a license and to be ordained but never attend any school and spend no time with God. The problem I have is that all of this is of the physical and interpretation of the word Vs the spirit and understanding. Many have been found to have sexually abused children; this is not of God. Many are judgmental or very legalistic in their beliefs and teachings. Jesus was all about grace, forgiveness, and not judging.

Do not get me wrong I am not saying do not trust in others. I am saying we trust in some more than we should. When it comes to something as important as our next life we should never depend on others but find out the truth for ourselves to be 100% sure.

Think about how many are contrary to scripture in their teachings and beliefs. Jesus did not have to come and die for us if we can do anything on our own to be saved. However there are those who teach one can not be saved if they have not been baptized in water, or that we do not have to forgive to be forgiven.

Scroll up to the list and read them and then read the reference verses given and all the verses before and after them and ask yourself one question. I am 110% sure that what I believe is true and correct? Eternity is a long time to spend regretting your mistakes.

The entire point of Mark 4 (the sower of the word) was that only one out of four would get it 100%. The other three would either have it for only a short while or lose it due to something of the physical realm. Are you sure that what you believe in is the truth and you are following the right belief? If you follow man in any ways, instead of God in all ways then it is more than likely you are wrong.

All man brings to us are confusion, deceit, lie, half-truths, dishonesty, lack of true knowledge. I do not teach follow or even listen to me. I teach to listen to the author Himself and let Him explain it all to you. Reading or hearing the word without God is like looking at a scene with just height and width no depth to it.

Think of this as well how long you and every person you know have lived; add all the ages together and it still is not as long as Satan has been around studying mankind learning how to deceive and mislead mankind directly and indirectly through others. Do not accept anyone’s interpretation of the word of God. Go to God and ask Him to give you the depth to His word.

Imagine two men read the same book and got different meanings from the book. One day the two men met the author of the book. They asked him which of them is right about the meaning of the book. He answered them and they discovered that they both were wrong.

The book is the Bible, the author is God, and the two men are all of mankind.

Mark 4

13. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

14. The sower soweth the word.

15. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

16. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

17. And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

18. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

19. And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20. And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

They have eyes and do not perceive and they have ears and do not understand because their eyes and ears are physical only. Understanding God and His word can only be done in the Spirit since God is a Spirit.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

In verse 20 the word fold is percent in the literal. The difference is that 30 fold, 60 fold and 100 fold means you get more than 100%, but Jesus said the first three groups lost it all so how could they have more that 100%. In the Greek it is percent, some 30% some 60% some 100%. Now He only states 3 not 4 because the first group does not even make it a day before they lose it all. The second group has it 30% longer than the first group and retains 30% more, as with the third group being 60% instead of 30% as the second group. The fourth group produces 100% and keeps 100% of it.

Based on the above, only one of four of you reading this will get it and retain it 100%. One of four will not get it at all. Another will get about 30% of it and the last about 60%. What will they get? They get the word and depth of meaning therein. So only one of four of you will get 100% of the depth of what is said on this page.

If you look at different religions today each has its traditions, rituals, and each has ways the believer can earn their salvation. They expect you to do something for it not receive it from God as a free gift. Most of those in Christianity are the same way. They teach that if you are not baptized in water then you are not saved. Baptism of the Holy Ghost can only come unto those who believe and those who believe are saved. They are not saved by what they do on their own but by faith in what Jesus has already done for us.

That is the problem; mankind thinks it must have something to do, and be a part of it or it is not real. Mankind can not accept the free gift without some form of ritual they have to do to make it real such as water baptism. I believe if you think about this long and hard you will realize what I am saying is true. We, mankind, have a hard time accepting anything as huge as salvation without somehow working towards it, earning it, or at the very least participating in some ritual.

His gift is free unto all, but there are those who believe all we can do is reject it; we can not accept it. That is as bad as those who believe they can not be saved unless they were baptized with water because this would mean that as long as we do not reject it we are saved and that would mean everyone is saved. It also would mean forgiveness plays no part in it at all.

The problem with our accepting is that it is spiritual not physical and we are physical beings.

Timeline

So how did we get into this mess in the first place? Of course it started with Adam and his sin, but his sin was a spiritual not physical death. God said in Genesis 2 that if Adam ever ate of the fruit he would die. He ate but he did not die physically and his soul did not die because he responded to God after his sin so all that leaves is the spirit.

Spiritual Disconnection

Satan knew he had to disconnect us from God in the spirit, flesh, and soul. Spirit had to be first otherwise the other two could never happen. That was accomplished with Adam.
Then physical had to be done because as long as we could still be in the presence of God we would not need faith to believe. If you read about Cain and Abel you will notice Cain still could be in the presence of God even after killing his brother, but later Moses a servant of God could not see His face or else he would have died. SO between Cain and Moses something happened to cause us to not be able to ever again be in God's presence. This made believing in God a lot harder and entirely dependent on faith.

Here we see sin growing. First, Cain was not right in his heart, or his offering would have been accepted. Then he gets angry and kills 25% of the earth's entire population! But notice the point he (Cain) makes about not being in God's presence any longer. Then later (hundreds upon hundreds of years) Moses could not look upon the face of God or he would have died.

Disconnection of the Flesh

As we continue watch how this changes.

We were born physically into this world. Then in this world we’re born again spiritually (John 3). The attacks on us from Satan were similar but in reverse. Satan first cut us off from God spiritually by sin and then physically by another means.

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:1-2 (KJV)

Who were the sons of God? We were not called that yet, not until after Jesus.

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 1:6-8 (KJV)

The reference "sons of God" in Genesis is to angels. The angels in Job are the two thirds which are still of God; the ones in Genesis are those which follow Satan.

What would happen if you crossed a dog with a wolf? It would not be pure dog or pure wolf any more. Actually it would be a perversion of what God created.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Gen 6:4 (KJV)

"Giants and men of renown" does not necessarily refer to physical stature here. It should be translated as men of great wisdom and ingenuity (technologically advanced).

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 6:5 (KJV)

As with Babel, the more men build big cities and develop technology and become dependent on each other, the less they are dependent on God, and the more doubt that He "is" enters. Remember this is all His.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Gen 6:6-7 (KJV)

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:3 (KJV)

Here is the only time God refers to striving with man or a time limit in this fashion. We know the year of jubilee, or God's year, is every fifty years.

8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Lev 25:8-10 (KJV)

So 120 of God's years equals 50 times 120 or 6,000 years. This is the lease on the earth He was giving man.

Noah finds grace.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Gen 6:8-9 (KJV)

We know that perfect in his generation can not mean spiritually, because due to sin the spiritual connection was gone. So his physical generations were perfect. Now look at the age of Noah; he was born right at the beginning of the time when angels and women mated. So to be perfect, none of his ancestors were products of these perverted unions. By the fallen angels mating with the daughters of men sin entered the flesh. Since he was born before this perversion Noah was still perfect in the flesh, but his wife was not. Subsequently their sons were an impure mix. They were not as pure as Noah but not as contaminated as was their mother. So in time due to this new perversion of the flesh incest became a problem. When the flesh was pure it was no problem, but after the flesh was perverted the impurities and problems just got passed along from one generation to the next. The perverted attributes of the flesh became more and more dominant.

Moses, just as everyone who has been born since the flood, was descended from one of the three sons and he had the seed of sin in his flesh. Sin can not exist in the presence of God. After sin entered the flesh, the flesh no longer could be in the presence of God. Thus Cain, even though he was the murderer of one fourth of the human population, having purity in the flesh could still survive in the presence of God, but Moses, having impure (imperfect) flesh could not face God.

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted His way upon the earth.

Gen 6:10-12 (KJV)

Now Satan had divided us from God first in the spirit and then in the flesh. All that was left was the soul (mind, will, and emotions).

Satan started corrupting the soul in the beginning and never has let up. How is this done?

Disconnection of the Soul

2 Corinthians 10

3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Satan plants seeds (imaginations, thoughts) here and there and then let's them grow on their own. In time they do the rest and all Satan has to do is sit back and accuse us before God.

Satan has had thousands of years to plant enough seed so now he has very little to do but watch the weeds grow. What we need to do is recognize those weeds and pull them out before the roots can get any deeper. We need to nip them in the bud so they do not go to seed and spread to others around us. In other words, 2 Corinthians 10:5.
