New Creature - Blood and Spirit
Pastor Jerry Wilhite,
author
We are washed clean by the blood of Jesus and then we are connected and anointed by God with His Spirit.
Matthew 26
28. For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Romans 3
23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Once we are of Christ we are made new.
2 Corinthians 5
17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
To be of Christ is not the same as being saved (Jesus) or of the church. It is having the Spirit not just in us as when we are saved and of the church, but also on us and all the way through us.

12. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

A potter can repair a cracked pot, a broken vessel, and it would work perfectly well for any function he desires. But it would still be the same old cracked pot with a patch on it. When God anoints us he doesn’t just "FIX" the crack, He forms an entirely new vessel; He makes it perfectly and gives it our name. It is still who we are, only perfect and never flawed.
When the Lord anoints us with his Holy Spirit He recreates us. We are more than just washed clean as with salvation. We are more than reborn as if into the world. We are recreated, reformed, refashioned as in the beginning when God originally made Adam. The purity is perfect because we have never been contaminated by the sin of the flesh.
