Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Spirit and Faith is Alive and Well

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

I hear it all the time, "The Spirit ended in the days of the book of Acts." Churches teach this to their members and then wonder why they do not get healed, and are not prosperous. The power to heal and be prosperous comes from the Spirit and faith.

If you have not read some of the other Bible Studies we have on-line about belief and faith, do so now. While you area t it read what we have regarding Christ otherwise you may not get the fullness of this study. The key to healing and prosperity is in believing.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

NOW faith, faith that is NOW, is the substance of things expected (hoped) for, the proof (evidence) of things not seen. So how do we get faith?

Romans 10:17

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

First of all the full translation of the word faith is:

Trust in,

Reliance on;

Confidence in;

The Anointed One (the power and wisdom of God), for whatever we have need of being saved from. Debt is something to be saved from as well as illness, sickness, lack, lack of Spiritual Knowledge. All of these things are things from which we need saving.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Without the trust, reliance on, and confidence in God it is impossible to please Him. For he that comes to God must BELIEVE that God is and that God rewards those who actively pursue a relationship with Him.

So if it is believing in God that pleases Him (God) and He (God) rewards those who believe and seek him, then how about forgiveness?

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are told God forgives and forgets our sins. So if we are clean as the above verse says and He (God) has forgotten our sin, then why do we not do the same? We so often bring it up, and remind Him (God) of our sins. How does this show belief in His Word?

If His Word says He (God) has forgotten, so should we. Remembering and continually bringing it back up to Him shows doubt in His Word and Him personally. If we show doubt, is that not unbelief? If we do not believe, how can He (God) reward us?

Look back at:

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father,

Jesus Christ the righteous: An advocate is like a lawyer, defending someone, so who is the accuser if Jesus is the advocate? Satan is the accuser.

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

No, Satan has not been cast down yet, for if he was, why would we need an advocate? Read the book of Hebrews. Before Jesus died and arose to sit at the right hand of the Father there were no brethren. So Satan is accusing the brethren (us).

We sin; Satan accuses; we ask forgiveness; Jesus stands in for us and professes the Blood; we are forgiven; God forgets and the next case comes up. But when we bring the sin up again, or just won’t let go of it for whatever reason it gives Satan a chance to accuse AGAIN. If we do not ask forgiveness again Satan is able to get through our armor and give us hell. At least until we remember to ask for forgiveness, repent, or just pray the Lord’s Prayer and accept our forgiveness.

If we truly believe the word of God we accept our forgiveness and forget it. If you accept your forgiveness and don’t hold on to the sin, but forget it, then you are cleansed. You are made new; health and prosperity will come your way.

The only other area of forgiveness that holds us up is forgiving someone else. This is almost as hard as forgiving ourselves. Let’s say a woman’s 3 year old is raped, and killed and she does not forgive the person. What happens? Two things happen. First she has given Satan a wide birth in her life and second it will eat at her until she is nothing but an empty shell.

What happens if she forgives the person? First Satan has no way to get in to mess with her, and second God will help her over come.

Why should we forgive? Because mankind was created in God’s image, meaning what we are, not our flesh, but our spirit. Since God is not evil, neither are we, but we do allow evil spirits and demons to enter and they do things that appear to be our doing them, but it is not our true self. So we should forgive the sinner and love them while hating the sin and evil. You can hate as long as it is directed towards evil and sin and not towards people.

If the woman above would forgive the person, not the sin, it would do more to help her. If we truly believe in God then we believe in the next life. If we believe in the next life then there is no death; there is only a passing from this imperfect world to perfection where we will meet those loved ones that left before us. It is only a temporary separation. In the measurement of time compared to eternity it would be but the blink of an eye.

So the true loss would be if the woman did not forgive and allowed it to eat her up to the point of falling away and rejecting God. That’s because she then would never see her child again. That is true grief because grief is only for a loss of some sort. If you will see each other again then there is no loss, just a short separation. How do you grow and allow this type of forgiveness to be in your life?

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth In you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

You allow God to teach you, not man. Here is more proof of the above verse.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Here is how to know if who you’re hearing from is God;

1 John 4

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
