Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Our Sins Are Forgiven

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

So often we forget that our sins are forgiven. We remember and then ask God for forgiveness and remind Him of what He has already forgiven and forgotten.

Psalms 103

12As far as the east is from the west,so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

The reason we ask God again for forgiveness is we either do it again what ever it was that we needed forgiveness for or we remember one we did in the past.

Yes if we do it again we should ask forgiveness but remember to Him it is the first time if we have in the past asked to be forgiven.

No I am not saying we should not ask for forgiveness but I am saying we should not go to Him and remind Him of what He has forgotten.

How is it that He can forget it and we can not since nothing is impossible for Him?

The best example I can use is what I tell people when they ask is anything impossible for God. And then they try to test the idea by saying couldn't God create a rock to heavy to lift even for Him. My response is yes, but then He lifts it because He is about the impossible not just the possible.

It seems hard almost impossible for us to believe we can be forgiven and it seems hardest for us to forgive ourselves.

I am here to point out that what is impossible to and for us is possible to and for us through God.

Philippians 4

13. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Maybe the reason we want to be able to do something of ourselves to be saved is partly based on the idea we can not accept something so awesome for free.

Many believe they have to do something, some ritual some action to be saved and to be forgiven.

And as the centuries have passed by mankind has sought out a religion/denomination that lines up with their beliefs. Many if not most chose based on the doctrine and if the doctrine was lined up with what the person felt was needed they would join the denomination. As time passed and more people were living on the earth at the same time the need for more and more different doctrines drove the start of more and more different denominations and religions. Some felt they needed a religion that was structured and had a chain of authority that would dictate the laws of the religion. While others needed less structure but still needed some basic rules and beliefs that freed them from their responsibility spiritually and placed it all in the physical.

The Catholics confess to a priest and he then assigns them a hail Mary, 3 Our Fathers or something of the nature to do for their forgiveness.

The problem is there is nothing we can do for forgiveness except to repent. To repent means to seek forgiveness from God not man (unless we did something against a person then we ask for their forgiveness) and then we do a 180-degree turn from the path that led us to the sin. In so many words we change or at the very least attempt to and continue to attempt until we are successful. I can say this, God is more understanding than we ever will be and will work with us and love us.

2 Corinthians 12

8. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Paul was having problems dealing with something and asked God three times that it might be removed from him. God answered "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness". His grace is more than sufficient but we are not, we are programmed by life (tel a vision, movies, media, etc) itself that nothing is free or easy.

What we forget is that what is wise to God is foolish to mankind and what is wise to mankind is foolish to God.

God did not create us to struggle, work for things, and live 60, 80 or more years in debt, lack, sick, etc.

He created us as a father who procreates, He created us to have children and like most fathers He wants the best for us.

Philippians 4

19. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 2

24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1 Peter 2

7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Mark 11

22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

To have faith in God is to have total confidence in Him no doubt at all.

Those who have faith in God understand there is nothing in the physical that is worth anything other than people. And that all that we need and want is in the spiritual and the only way to truly worship and know God is in spirit and truth.

John 4

23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Baptist teaching is that if one is not baptized of water one is not saved.

Matthew 3

11. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Acts 1

5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

John and Jesus both said that the true baptism was not water but the Spirit. So why was Jesus baptized in water? As with all of the time Jesus honored John and what John was sent to do as He honored the law.

For those of you shaking your heads I ask you this how many of the apostles were baptized in water?

And for those who want to send me scripture verses from Acts look first at who is baptizing in water. None were the apostles, and all were doing it as showing of faith not of salvation.

One can only be saved based on what Jesus did, not an action by us, but by faith.

Ephesians 2

8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 10

9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I can understand that we are physical and it is hard to understand the Spiritual and it is even harder to believe that we are forgiven just by asking and if we blow it again as long as we are giving it our all we are forgiven again. Not by our actions but by faith and salvation is even harder to handle without an action.

But that is the point we could not, and can not save ourselves, the law was incomplete in saving mankind, but Jesus being born sin free and living sin free became our payment for what we could not pay for our sin, it is called faith.

And this is why grace is so awesome, because it is a time where God based on His love for us offer us His all and in return only asks for our love and obedience.

We have to break tradition, rituals and except by faith and via the Spirit the truth and worship God finally.

So what about attending a church weekly or more?

We should gather as they did in the first century, and share our blessings, uplift each other and be edified. Help those who do not know the truth learn how to obtain the truth and what the truth is and realize it is not a once a week period spent in a building but a lifestyle, a one on one relationship with God 24/7.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

There are many denominations and non-denominations out there and just as in the days when Jesus walked the earth they are following the law of grace as those then followed the law.

Matthew 23

13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

I am not saying that all the pastors, priests, etc are misleading or doing so on purpose. But many are, for different reasons.

Many are confusing the call to a relationship with God as a call to a ministry and then start a ministry. And many of those close within a few short years, and those who attended are then cut loose and confused and some fall away.

2 Corinthians 10

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

How many believe or may not realize it but act as if they know more than even Paul. No I am not elevating Paul I am just saying he understood and we can learn from him.

Christ in English means anointing, and in Luke 4:18 Jesus said "The Lord has anointed me with the Spirit". So if Jesus is the Christ and Christ is the anointing and Jesus said He was anointed with the Spirit then to be of Christ or Christ like (Christian) is to be anointed with the Spirit of God. And to be anointed means it is in us, on us and all the way through us.

One can not be of something unless one knows that person or something, so to be of the Spirit we have to know the Spirit. And to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (Spirit/God) would mean we have to be hearing from God.

John 14

  1. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Notice Jesus said the Holy Ghost shall teach us ALL THINGS, not just that of God, but all things. How can we be taught of the Holy Ghost unless we are hearing from the Holy Ghost.

Do not confuse the word and the Spirit, Jesus is the word, the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Yes, they are one but separate elements in God all are of God but there are three elements of God, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

John 1

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We have to have guidance and structure but not of man, of God alone.

There are so few real rules in God:

  1. Judge Not (Matthew 7:1-5 and John 3:17)
  2. Forgive (Mark 11:25-26)
  3. Faith, listen to and for His voice and be obedient.

The rest will fall in place if we do not judge; we forgive all including ourselves and have faith in God. Because to have faith in God is to have faith in Who He says He is and what He is.

The evidence of being of Christ (Christian, the Spirit (God)) is not the works of our hands or actions but the fruit of the Spirit. And with the fruit of the Spirit and God guiding us we will do all the word says to do. Even in James when James says show me your faith I will show you my works and faith without works is dead is the truth. But what most miss is that James was saying there are three groups of people.

  1. Faith with no works
  2. Works alone
  3. Faith with works

Faith with out works is not true faith, works alone is hollow, but true faith always has works both based in faith with works as well as works with faith.

In so many words some will stand on faith and the word is the stand to stand to oppression. And then there is the work that is done based on faith.

Forgiveness is by faith, repenting is done by faith, the works of this faith is the ability to do a 180 and change.
