Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Cast the First Stone

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

John 8

7. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

There are many groups of believers today, those who believe that faith or even the Spirit itself was for the first century church only and is no more. Then there are groups that believe we should only go by what Jesus said meaning if it is in red ink that it is ok, otherwise not. Then there are groups that believe the Bible is nothing more than a group of books written by man with no real meaning but to only give some sort of liberal guidance. Of course then there are those who make a law out of grace and so on and so on. I could list group after group but the truth is we either believe or we do not. We are saved by grace through faith. So for most of these we can not even be saved because of their beliefs and teachings any more.

The point is you both accept the word of God as His breathed word and ask Him for the depth of meaning of each and every word in Scripture or you form a group or join a group that believes the way you believe. It will not make you right if you do this just because others do and some may even be theologians and scholars. Remember who Jesus addressed the woes to the most the Pharisees, Seduces, Scribes, and Priests. These were the intellectual, theologians and scholars of the day.

Matthew 23

13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

The idea with John 8:7 is if you are without sin then you can cast the first stone or in simpler terms if you are without sin then you can judge others.

Some judge others to make their own sins seem less sinful and then there are those who really do not believe they sin or are sin free.

If you remember the Lord's prayer Forgive me my sins as I FORGIVE THOSE WHO SIN AGAINST ME. Or in Mark 11:25-26 it states to be forgiven we must forgive, we can not forgive if we are judging.

Mark 11

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Some may say my words are too harsh and no one can live like this today,.bBut I would say that no one can have the next life until they do live like this today.

What if someone does me wrong and I forgive, forget and do not judge? Will it not leave me open for more of the same? Turn the other cheek or if a man asks of you to walk a half-mile with him walk a mile. Or even better, if he asks for your coat give him also your shirt. This is also scripture Jesus taught. Why is it that we forget this part of teaching or think it is too hard or not meant for today? Because we do not want to follow Him in His footsteps, we would prefer another does that for us and we just support the one and let him/her be the man/woman of God. Jesus died to make us the man/woman of God.

Matthew 7

1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

John 8

The word first above means from beginning, meaning from the moment of conception to now if you are sinless (which none of us are because we are all born into sin) then you can cast the first stone.

Those of God (Jesus) are not going to judge, they will forgive and love their neighbor as themselves and anything less is not of God. Meaning bombing or killing people because they are living a life or acting in ways you do not believe. Such as abortion clinics, I am not for abortion but violence only begets violence. And such actions are stating man needs to do something because God is powerless to do anything. But if instead if all who are against abortion forgave, and turned the issue over to God and let Him handle it, it would be handled. But to often we take it back from Him and decide we can not wait for Him to act or just do not believe He will. (I Peter 5:7, Hebrews 11:1 & 6 & Romans 10:17)

We only fail because we set ourselves up to fail, destroying a clinic does not really save anyone but it does set up all of Christianity to appear as murders and terrorist, even though it is not Christianity but a small group of radicals.

I use abortion not because it is the only case that can be used but it is the most known and most controversial.

Matthew 18

8. Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

9. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

It would be better to enter the kingdom of God incomplete than Hell complete. There are two sides to this, the physical and the spiritual, just as there are with each and every verse. But here it refers to the spiritual and the soul, that it would be better that we entered Heaven as a door mat than Hell as one who has been aggressive (worldly) and avoided being a door mat.

The here and now is very temporary in terms of eternity. We are here to develop our relationship with the Lord so we can take more of ourselves (soul) into the next life with Him. If you are wronged, forgive that person. The Bible says:

Romans 12:19 – 20

19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

  1. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

We are to give all of our problems to the Lord and let Him handle the whole thing in this life and the next because that is what he wants to do for us.

1Peter 5:7

7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

We attend church on Sunday morning, say Amen to the pastors words, sing the songs, yell hallelujah and then leave, but what are we when we go out into the world on Monday, Tuesday, etc? Are we following Jesus in His footsteps or are we becoming more and more like the religious of 2000 years ago? They attended once or twice a week listened to a man of God and gave tithes and offerings. Is that truly what Jesus died for?
