Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Subconscious

Pastor Jerry Wilhite, author

Here is how the dictionary defines "subconscious":

Main Entry: 1sub·con·scious
Pronunciation: "s&b-'kän-ch&s, 's&b-
Function: adjective
1 : existing in the mind but not imediately available to consciousness : affecting thought, feeling, and behavior without entering awareness <subconscious motives> <a subconscious reflex>
2 : imperfectly conscious : partially but not fully aware <the persistence of subconscious dream activity for several minutes after waking —Psychological Abstracts> —sub·con·scious·ly adverbsub·con·scious·ness noun

Here is how the medical dictionary defines subconscious:

1. Occurring without the possibility or the fact of an attendant consciousness; said of states of the soul.

2. Partially conscious; feebly conscious.

The subconscious is where all the garbage goes in us. Every sick and perverted thing, image, etc goes and is stored away in our subconscious. When you view a movie with sex, nudity, violence, or foul language it is stored away in your subconscious. Every image on line, in magazines, every thought or imagination you do not cast down or into the obedience of Christ goes into your subconscious.

The words "conscious" or "subconscious" do not show up in the KJV or Literal Bible and out of some 16 or more versions I have access to, only 4 used the word once each in one verse alone. Out of those 4 verses from those 4 versions, only 2 were even close to being correct by using the word.

What I am discovering is that the subconscious is of the flesh and the world; it has an evil side to it, whereas the conscious is where we can decide to be evil or good all the time. The subconscious wants to draw us down to it all the time but can only do so when we are asleep, unconscious, or allowing it to do so. When I mention the last part I mean that we allow what is in the subconscious to come up and take control of the conscious mind. This is where the imaginations or evil and wicked thoughts come from. I can not find any good thoughts or thoughts of God in anyone I have talked to over the years in their subconscious mind.

Remember the subconscious is where all the garbage goes, no matter how much you want to get rid of it, it remains. The only way to be free of the garbage is never allow it in, in the first place. Once in, it remains in, and those that are seeking God and want to be of God will push all this perversion, wickedness and evil of our pasts into our subconscious mind and hope we can keep it there.

Remember Satan is sneaky and deceitful he knows full well there are two groups of professing Christians. One that is actually seeking God, seeking to grow in God, and doing so, and there are those who offer lip service and nothing more. So Satan will use the latter group to make the first group look bad and then in turn make God look bad.

Matthew 15

8. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Those who are not pew warmers (only attend once a week to get points) and are truly seeking God will learn that to grow requires the following:

  1. Listen for and to the voice of God, no matter how long it takes. Take time daily at least 30 minutes and listen every day until you know you are hearing His voice. John 14:26 - I John 2:27 and I John 4:1-3
  2. Cast each and every imagination that goes against the knowledge of God. 2 Corinthians 10:5a
  3. Take every thought into the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5b

2 Corinthians 10

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Of course faith, grace and hope all play a major part, but hopefully by the point one is seeking the Lord they understand and are of each of the three.

You see God calls us to Jesus. Notice HE CALLS US TO JESUS, meaning we have to be listening; that is salvation. Remember that we can not do anything to save ourselves; we are saved by what Jesus did for us. Romans 10:9-10. Then He reveals to us who Jesus is as the Christ and the true Son of God and that is the church. Matthew 16:15-18. But to be of the power of God to receive the deliverance on a daily basis we have to be of Christ and that requires dedication, listening, and love.

1 Corinthians 1

24. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

After reviewing 16 versions of the Bible I could not find the words "conscious" or "unconscious" or "subconscious" in the King James or Literal versions. I did however find it in 4 other of the 16 versions, and out of the 4 only 2 came close to being used correctly or even relating in any way to the word in the original text.

And these two were the MNT (Montgomery New Testament) and the NJB (New Jerusalem Bible). The Living and NAS (New American Standard) were not even close in their use of the conscious in the verse each of them uses. This is why I stopped reading the NAS over 12 years ago (91) and never have considered the Living a viable version of the Bible.

NAS (New American Standard Bible)

Job 10

15. 'If I am wicked, woe to me! And if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head. {I am} sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery.

KJV (King James Version)

Job 10

15. If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;

Job 10

15.

|0000| If

|7561| I am wrong,

|0118| Woe

|0000| to me!

|6663| And {if} I am righteous,

|3808| not

|5375| I will lift up

|7218| my head.

|4390| {Being} filled

|1322| with shame

|7200| and seeing

|6040| my pain.

Below is the Living Bible's one and only use of conscious and it is used as unconscious. But even with the Literal and King James I could not find any way they came up with this word in this verse in the way they did. No correlation to the Literal or any other and this is only one of many, many, many verses that can mislead and even damage people. And why I never read it myself and I only use it here to show why no one else should either.
