Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Satan's Plan

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

This is one of those studies that has been in the making for decades, but to truly benefit from it you must do the following:

  1. Spend some time in prayer and meditation clearing your mind and freeing yourself of offense, and strife.
  2. Be sure your mind is open and always look at all the possibilities; do not let things of this world and traditions get in the way.
  3. Be sure you are ready to learn even if it means discovering some of what you know may not be correct.

If you do not do all of the above you will not get the fullness of this study, but most of all it will help if you are guided by the Holy Spirit and hearing from God.

This study is broken down into 3 sections. This is done for those who may be ahead of another and do not need the review that is added to help any and all understand the entire study.

Hearing

Before I show you the scripture, think of this - isn't it arrogant to believe we can talk to God and He the creator of all can not talk to us? Where did you get the idea that we could not hear from Him? As I stated before - it is not in scripture.

John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

For those of you who ar not convinced by even Jesus' own words as above in John, here are some more:

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Before you say it is reading the word it clearly states hearing, and before you say it is referring to hearing someone reading or speaking scripture, it states clearly by the word of God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If that is not clear enough, what about when Jesus said we are to be taught all things, not just those of God but all things by the Spirit of God?

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The word "Christos" is Greek for "anoint" and also means Christ.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

So by that of Christ (anointing) we are taught not by man. Jesus told us that He was anointed with the Spirit of God, and since He is the Christ the anointing or Christ is the Spirit of God in, on and through us.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Any of you who think the Spirit is dead or ended in the first century church you are then saying God ended or is dead.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

For those who believe that faith ended in the first century church or are against sites and ministries of faith, then you are also against salvation, because it is by faith we are saved.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

If we are not to hear from God why would John write 3 verses about testing the spirits to be sure it is God and not Satan we are hearing from?

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

If you believe Jesus is God then God is the same at the least not less than Jesus right?

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Baptism, yes there is only one true baptism - that of the Holy Ghost. Do not just take my word on it, take John the Baptist and Jesus' word about it.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

If the one true baptism was water, not the Holy Ghost, then Jesus would never have stated:

Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

I know it confuses many because they read later about water baptism, but that is of the flesh not the spirit and it is our way of showing our faith.

Galatians 6:7 clearly states.. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

There are three separate elements at work in us, that of the flesh, the soul and the Spirit. If we bow to the flesh then we are of the flesh, but if we are subject to and bow to the Spirit then we are blessed by the Spirit.

Do you know which statement is the correct one for us without looking it up in the Bible?

  1. I am of the world!
  2. I am in the world!

If you stated number 1 then you need to understand that to say you are of the world is stating you are of the world and its system which is ruled by Satan. So you are stating you are of Satan. But if you said number 2 you were correct. You are in the world because this is where we are now, but not of the world.

You see there are so many misunderstood and even mistaught beliefs of the Bible.

What is the Bible then? First of all it is the breathed word of God, but that does not mean it is the be all and end all of God. When we try to force the Bible to be the end all we are divided and then we are doomed.

Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Satan knows this as well and uses it to his benefit not ours. We can not be divided and will not be if we all hear from God because we will not all walk away with different interpretations as we do with His word. We will all have the same understanding of His word as He explains it to us.

I mean really think about how arrogant we are to think we can talk to Him, pray to Him and even expect Him to answer our prayers, but He can not talk to us. What better way for Him to help us until we do hear from Him than by having a manual here to guide us through our infancy as children of God. But the day comes that we must grow up.

Answer me this. Can you say you know without any doubt at all you are saved, that no one can ever say anything to get you to even consider you are not? If you say yes then you must have heard from God as it is stated in Romans 8:16 that you are His child. Once we hear this no one can ever steal our salvation.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

So why then are there so many different beliefs and wrong teachings?

It is like two people reading the same book and then they finish and talk about it, but both walk away with a totally different understanding or interpretation of the book. That is at least until they meet the person who wrote the book and learn what he/she meant; then they both have the same understanding.

The same is for us with the word of God. It is given to help and protect us while we are growing until the day comes we hear that still quiet voice and it grows louder and louder and we learn the truth, not of man but of God and God only. You can not say you or anyone else is 100% right because you do not know what is 100% right, but God does.

Even Paul warns about our thoughts:

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

You see you do not have an original thought. Every thought you have had or will have has already been thought and will be thought by others again. But we are so arrogant that if we have a thought we consider it was ours and then act on it. Then we get into trouble.

If we realize that our thoughts only come from one of two places, God or Satan, then we can beware and protect against those of Satan. You see Satan forces his thoughts on us; God does not. God is a gentleman at the door waiting. We have to seek His thoughts, but if we do not believe we can hear from Him we never will seek His thoughts and will continue to act on Satan's thoughts.

Think about the evil, hate, and violence in the world. Think how much may be prevented if the truth were known. Who do you think this serves the best?

What would it serve me, the staff of this ministry, or even this ministry to teach people how to hear from God and then not listen to us, but Him only?

It only serves them and God of course. Anyone can hear if they have the desire, ask God for His help and will dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to listening for how ever long it takes to hear from Him. Do you really think mankind is better or higher than Jesus was?

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Many have decided that no matter what we are unable to hear from God, the Spirit and faith were of the first century church only and that whatever their church taught it is correct.

I was the same, how could I know more than those who have been of a church that is centuries old?

Then I realized I do not know, but I could learn from one even older; the one is God. He is speaking all the time to all of us. All we have to do is stop and listen, not with our physical ears, but with our spiritual ears.

Understand God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and we are a soul that operates in the flesh. Who we really are, all that we really are, is a soul (mind, will and emotions) not the flesh and not the spirit. The flesh is more of this world and sin than anything. The spirit is more of God than anything. There we are in the middle of the two,

but if we give our attention to the flesh and this world more than God and the spirit then we are more of this world than of God. God did not design it this way, but due to sin in many levels it has become this way.

Satan had to divide us, keep knowledge away, and turn us against God. He started his division with a perversion that required the aid of the fallen angels (demons). Remember Satan and fallen angels can appear as light.

Division - Step One the Flesh

Sin originally was only a problem in the soul and spirit not of the flesh. Remember God told Adam he would die if he ate of the fruit (Genesis 2:17), but we know Adam did not die in the flesh imediately; he died spiritually. If you read the first 3-5 books of the Old Testament you will notice that after Cain slew Able he was still able to be in the presence (face) of God. However, Moses, who wanted to be in God's presence (face), was not able or he would have died. Something happened between Cain and Moses that changed the flesh where mankind could no longer be in the presence of God in the flesh. Remember our enemy and he is real only wants one thing - to defeat God. To do this he will use any and all he can. Satan saw the love God had for mankind and realized the best way to do what he wanted was to divide mankind from God. Most do not realize Satan did not lie in the garden; Eve did and that is why sin entered into them.

Genesis 3

3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

God never told Adam they could not touch the fruit, just not eat it. One thing I have discovered about God is He is very specific. If He means others He states others and God never told Adam that Eve could not eat. So who added the bit about touching? It was either Adam,in fear of her eating so he decided to make sure she would not by adding the extra, or Eve added it. The point is they added to what God said:

Revelation 22

18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Remember Adam and Eve were like children. They did not know good and evil existed and were innocent until they ate of the fruit. It was not until Adam ate that anything happened, but Adam's good intentions caused Eve to eat. When she touched and nothing happened why should she not go ahead and eat? Then when Adam saw her eat and nothing happened he ate. But since he had already altered what God had said, a lie was in him and he was doomed to fall into the trap of the lie.

So we know sin was not in the flesh, but disconnected Adam and Eve from God spiritually since they lived after eating. So how did the flesh become corrupt?

Genesis 6

1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The key is above - the sons of God, not the sons of men, saw the daughters of men. If this had been men and women only the part "sons of God saw the daughters of men" would not have been needed to be in this verse. It was there to clarify that this was not sons and daughters of men but the fallen sons of God, the fallen angels. Only one other book in the Bible is "Sons of God" used and that is Job 1 and 2 describing the angels. We know God's angels would not do this, so that left only the fallen angels. So when fallen angels (demons) and women of mankind had children the result was a perversion of the flesh. It was sort of like breeding a Poodle with a Pekinese, the offspring is neither, but a combination of both (Peekapoo). This also explains why God repented of making of mankind and was ready to start over or just do away with us.

3. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

What made Noah perfect in his generation?

We know it is not spiritual because everyone who followed Adam until Jesus had no connection spiritually.

Noah was born before the perversion of sons of God and daughters of men having children. But Noah's wife was born after so their children were not totally perfect but not as perverted as most.

Before all of this incest was part of life and was not a problem, but when the flesh was perverted incest had a limit before it could be no more.

So now the perversion or sin entered the flesh and no matter how good Moses was he could never be in the presence of God. Sin in the presence of God would be destroyed.

11. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Adam and Eve had already cut us all off from God spiritually, so the next step was the flesh. Satan knows most will not believe in something they can not see, and to see God we have to first know their is a God, have faith and be pure in the flesh. So Satan has achieved division as far as the physical was concerned in removing all chances for mankind ever to be face to face with God.

Division - Step 2 people in general

We are divided today by languages, cultures, societies, sex, and families.

Before we proceed you must understand that Satan forces his thoughts on all of us. There are only two sources for thoughts - one is from God whom we must seek and the other is Satan who forces. If we do not know this we will accept our thoughts as being our own. In time some people will even act on these thoughts (violence, hate, etc) because they just can not overcome their thoughts. Instead their thoughts overcome them and they act. The rest of us keep the most violent and hateful of thoughts under some form of control.

Before you think I am crazy or this is off the wall think about this:

  1. Have you ever had a thought and wondered where it came from because it just was not you?
  2. Have you ever said or done anything to wonder where it came from?

2 Corinthians 10

2. But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Paul even warns us to cast down these thoughts. He used imaginations so as not to limit it to just thoughts, but to include even our imaginations, daydreams.

This explains much if not all of the violence, hate, and difference in the world. Since most do not fully understand, no, most do not even understand this or they would question their own thoughts. I mean if I think it, it must be my thought so it must be me, right? Wrong! It is Satan forcing and until we know this, Satan is in control.

Satan can manipulate us with our thoughts and then use others against us by forcing his thoughts on them as well.

Satan started dividing us from God first spiritually with Adam's sin and then physically with the perversion of the flesh, but he went further much, much further.

Before I continue I want to clear one thing up it is not the fault of technology we are in the mess we are in, it is the use of it. Technology can be a real blessing, but like the misused gun, it becomes a curse instead. Like the Internet, you can either seek knowledge to make yourself better and to be blessed, or view porno and fall further in the trap of the world.

During the last few generations our children have become less concerned with others, heavier (to the point of a health hazard) more apt to comit some crime, smoke cigarrettes, smoke pot, drink, do drugs, kill, be more violent less loving and caring, and more hateful. They are the future of the world.

So Satan has done what he set out to do. He divided us from God, from each other, and eventually from ourselves with the use of games and virtual worlds of cyberspace and gaming.

Knowledge - Step 3 Keeping us in the dark

Satan also knew that a problem for him was knowledge of the truth. So he did all he could to divide us from knowledge of the truth. We have been warned about all that Satan will do and use against us in the Bible.

Hosea 4

6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

(Before you think the above verse does not refer to you since it speaks of Priests, read Revelations 1:6 and discover how you are a Priest)

Satan understood full well that if we ever got a hold of the truth and of Christ he was doomed. His fear was we would learn about Christ and what Christ means and have a relationship with Christ. So for thousands of years we have believed Christ is either the last name or title of Jesus.

Strong's Ref. # 5547

Romanized Christos

Pronounced khris-tos'

from GSN5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:

KJV--Christ.

"Christ" is of the Greek word "Christos" and means in Hebrew "Messiah" and in English "Anointed". The Jews knew what it meant, as did the Greeks, but it was lost for almost 2000 years to the rest of us until the last few decades of the 20th century.

Isaiah 10

27. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The Jews knew that when the anointing (Christ) came they would be delivered of all that shackles them to this world.

Luke 4

18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus said (since He is THE Christ he would know) that he was anointed with the Spirit of the Lord. So to be of Christ is to be anointed with the Spirit of God, and since God is a Spirit that would mean anointed with God. Jesus came to reunite us to God the way it was before the original sin. 2000 years ago the Jews could not see Jesus as the Christ because they expected a king in the physical to deliver them of physical bondage not spiritual.

The same thing is happening in Grace to those claiming to be of Christ. It's no different than 2000 years ago. People today expect Christ to be something of the physical not spiritual. Most will not even admit or try to grow and learn the spiritual side. Some even claim everything spiritual died or was lost 2000 years ago. Since they only read the word in the physical they only get the physical side from it and miss 50%. Since God is a Spirit and He is all about the spiritual, would He not write His word with both physical and spiritual side to it? The reason so many are divided into so many religions is because they intrepret the word of God and do not understand it. Interpetation of the word of God is of the flesh, understanding is of the Spirit.

John 14

26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus said that we would be taught all things, not just thing of God, but ALL THINGS by the Spirit not be man.

1 John 2

27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

If we are not to hear from God why would John in I John 4:1-3 tell us what to ask to verify it is God not Satan that WE ARE HEARING FROM?

Some religions even teach Jesus same spiritually not physically, so they would be considered to be of the world and Satan not of God. They claim to be of Christ and they say all the right words and do all the right things; they are growing faster than any other religion. Not because people want the world or Satan, but because they have a lack of knowledge. This religion makes them feel wanted and needed.

Look at a few facts about the churches of this world today.

In Revelation 1-3 Jesus talks of seven churches and out of the seven only one is correct; the rest are of the world.

With those odds most are attending one of the six. Then Paul even in his day had a problem that relates to today.

1 Corinthians 1

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

How would it read today if Paul were addressing people here and now?

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am a Baptist (Paul); and I a Methodist (Apollos); and I a Place the name of your church you attend here (Cephas); and I of Christ.

The one and only church is that which Jesus described in Matthew 16:15-18

Matthew 16

15. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Verse 17 is the key, "for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven". Simon did not get this revelation from hearing with his physical ears, but inward from the Spirit, which is what God is.

18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

In verse 18 the word Petros, which is the Greek word in the original language of Matthew, is as follows:

Strong's Ref. # 4074

Romanized Petros
Pronounced pet'-ros

a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than GSN3037); as a name, Petrus, an apostle:

KJV--Peter, rock. Compare GSN2786.

Matthew 16
18.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art a piece of the rock (Peter), and upon this bedrock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

What was Jesus building His church, not on a man, but on the revealed knowledge of that which Jesus is as the Son of God and the Christ?

If you are like me first you consider denominations and people who have gone through seminary as ones who should know and trust and expect to get the right answer from.

But three things to consider:

  1. Jesus told us a kingdom divided will fall The word "denomination" means to divide.
  2. Jesus also addressed those leaders of that day as withholding the kingdom from all. Today He refers to the seven churches as 6 being not the church and only one being it. Remember also all, including the apostles, thought when He talked of the temple as being a building when it was the body, His body. If we are of the church we are of His body not a building, religion, denomination.
  3. David was the smallest and weakest of all in Israel, but it was he that slew Golaith. Not the one Israel expected, and the same was true about the apostles they would not be the ones today the church of this world would choose.

Matthew 12

25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Matthew 23

13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Before you think that the above verse only refers to two thousand years ago consider this - what has changed?

They then did as people do today attended church (building) once a week to hear from a man of God, gave of their tithes and offerings, etc.

Satan is real he is doing his job better than anyone can imagine and that being the case we have to always be on our guard:

  1. Listening to God to verify all we hear and see as true.
  2. Casting down any imagination that exahalts itself against God.
  3. Learning all from God not mankind, realizing if the world and all that is of the world including most of the church is foolish to God.

If you are on your guard and doing the above you will be extremely blessed. If not, well it is your choice. God does not force. He is waiting for any and all who will listen to Him.

Remember the ones who are first to condemn those who hear are the ones to lose the most by it.
