Break the Curse in Your Life

Jerry Wilhite, author

This study will show you how to break the curse in your life and cross over into the blessing, but it requires an open mind and a desire to grow.

For those of you seeking the truth, I mean really opening up and wanting the truth this study will bless you. Those of you who are offended or are upset with this study and do not get the blessing it should supply need to go to the Lord and seek His guidance and seek His wisdom of this study.

If you read this study with the determination to grow and know the word, to be of the blessing instead of the curse, you will be blessed. If you read this study, accept what you read and apply it to life in time you will be the blessing others are looking towards, instead of the curse that so many are a part of.

The one thing I have learned on line since 95 and from contact with hundreds of thousands of people is that most (99%) who are in trouble, with debt, lack, sickness, etc. are so due to a lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4

6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

In the above verse where it talks about priests, it is referring to you. Read Revelation 1:6 and discover you are a priest. As I said, most who are in trouble due to a lack of knowledge. That lack comes from the world and its system. Jesus even warned about this and how 3 quarters of the people would not understand the word and grow, just for this reason.

In the following verses Jesus tells the reasons why so many will never grow, never understand the word.

Mark 4

13. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

14. The sower soweth the word.

15. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh imediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

16. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, imediately receive it with gladness;

17. And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, imediately they are offended.

18. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

19. And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20. And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

How can you expect to avoid the curse of the world if you have not been taught?

Below are a few more verses to help you see that what this study is about, is not based on a few verses taken out of text to fit into some idea of how to be blessed, but is based on the entire scripture. For space and time's sake, not every example is listed here.

Mark 12

1. And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

2. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

3. And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

4. And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

5. And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

6. Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

7. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

8. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9. What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

Matthew 13

24. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28. He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29. But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

31. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32. Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Matthew 13

39. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Mark 12:1-9 shows the roles of the world, Jesus, God, and us. It shows that man (as they did 2000 years ago) decided to kill the Lord in order to own it all. The problem in these verses is if the men had paid the first fruits to the owner they would have been blessed, but in turn were cursed.

Matthew 13:24-42 show how the enemy of God has planted tares in His garden (the earth) to damage and destroy His fruit (those who truly are of God). This shows what will happen in the end, but it also shows that it is many who are the tares.

There is a way to protect your ground so the seed will not be devoured, so you can grow. From that growth you will reach a point in your life that debt, lack, sickness, illness, etc. will not be the overpowering problems in your life and you will be blessed.

Malachi 3

11. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

In the above verse we learn that God will rebuke the devourer of our ground. How would you like to grow and know the word in a way that it blessed you constantly in every area of your life? How many of you have spent tens of thousands of dollars and many thousands of hours in college so when you graduate you can earn more money or at the least have more knowledge? How many of you spend 1-4 hours a day watching TV, playing games, on the net, etc? How many of you even give a very small portion to God daily?

Even though you may not need God at this moment, it does not mean you will not later. You can not imagine how many I have tried to help that have always said the same thing.

They wish that they had known God better and His word better so when the problem came they knew how to handle the problem, instead of getting depressed and desperate.

You see God has already done it all for us. At the cross Jesus said, "It is finished." Also, the word "finished" could be "complete". What did He complete? He completed everything He needed to do, to leave it for us to use. He took our sin, so we could be forgiven, and forgiven means blessed. He saved us, not just from death, hell and the grave, but from the results of sin. Sin and sin only brings debt, lack, sickness, etc.

If you knew 100% without doubt that if you spent 2 hours a day for 4 years in God's face that afterwards you could be:

Wouldn't you then put in 4 hours a day to get there sooner? Of course you would. You put a lot more extra time and money to go to college just to make more money.

Even if you do not think you have the time to invest, you can still have the things listed above. God gave you a way; it is called the tithe. The tithe was setup to protect us from the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy.

Malachi 3

9. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

12. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

  1. Spend time with GOD, in his face and in His Word.
  2. Tithe from your gross - the "Top ten percent" - with the Mattitude that is not yours and you want to freely give back to God that which is His anyway.

You see the first 10th of your gross income is not yours it is God's. If you keep it you are stealing from God. If you got over paid by your employer every week, and you knew it, would you keep it and just hope they do not find out? Well, if you said yes, be prepared to have a few blank paychecks at the end of the year at best and still be employed there if they decide they do not mind having a thief among them. You would be stealing from the company and most companies consider that grounds for severance if nothing else. Some will press legal charges and you could lose your freedom and more.

Think about the fact you could have been born in a country like India, China, Ethiopia, etc where you would not have what all you have. You could have been born in a time that does not have all the wonders of today, or born in a country where you are persecuted due to your skin color, religion, etc. You were born in this time, and for most of you in the USA, not as a Jew in the 1940's Germany, but when things go wrong and your back is against the wall most of you will go running to God for help. Most will only have weeks, or even days before they need help, but if they had done what I mentioned, most would never have even gotten into the problems they are in.

So you can follow the short list and be blessed, or continue as you are now and when the next Enron closes, you lose all of your savings, your job, even your home. (As so many did at Enron, based on the world.)

  1. Spend 15 minutes a day and every couple of weeks add another 10 minutes until you actually hear the voice of God, not just reading His word, but actually hearing His voice in your life and then be obedient. Then when you hear His voice increase it daily and never miss a day listening to Him.
  2. Tithe - the idea of the tithe is you are showing your faith in God and giving Him authority over your income, your growth in His word, and in life in general.
  3. Read His word daily and pray, not always asking, ask only once, then thank & praise Him for the answer.

Those who will do this now, and be comitted to this will be as it says in Malachi 3:12, a blessing unto all nations.

I know this sounds to some of you as just another man of God trying to get money from you, but here is the proof it is not like that.

Tithe

  1. Understand it. Understand it is designed to feed those working for God, and God will protect you in all areas of your life, helping you to be blessed.
  2. Only tithe to where you are fed. If you are fed by a church you attend or a man/woman of God on television, radio or by other materials then tithe there, not just to anyone, only to whoever feeds you.
  3. Only tithe to where you are fed, means if you are growing, and I mean really growing and it is constant then that is who and where you are fed. Just because your family has been attending the same church all your life, it does not mean you are growing because of it. May churches have become more like a country club our comunity center, than a storehouse for God's Word.

To just get money out of you, I could have said to tithe to me or godsgifttoyou.com. I did not, but if you are fed here, then this is where you should tithe.

If you do not give the first 10th of your income before taxes, and if you do not believe in the tithe, you might as well burn the money. At least will warm your hands for a few moments because that is as much good as you are going to get out of it if you do not believe what God has to say about it.

I pray you read this study over and over, and take every word to God and have Him verify it for you until you can be blessed by this study.

So you can either live life in debt, pain, lack, and having to count on a miracle to help you,

or live life knowing you are blessed and do not have to be of lack, debt and pain.

The choice is yours, it starts by shutting up to hear from God and then by tithing to where you are fed. Over all it is having faith in God.

Most want the following verses to work for them and they can if they follow the above and the 3 conditions Jesus set forth.

Mark 11

22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

The 3 conditions:

  1. Have faith in God (V22) and that is also what you have to have to tithe and be blessed.
  2. Believe - faith, is believing without doubt, but here believing in what you pray for and speak it out loud.
  3. Forgive all, no matter who it is, forgive, including yourself.
