Satan is A Liar!
God is Truth!

Jerry Wilhite, author

This study will be too much for some, but for others it's just what the doctor ordered. Before we start this study, understand there are over 365 studies on line at godsgifttoyou.com, and these studies (as of 7/2002) are either in alphabetical order or 1/3rd are by topic. If you read them in alphabetical order you will read them out of order. The way you need to read them is in numerical order to grow with the studies as I did in writing them. In time I will go back and place them in numerical order and finish up the topical order as well.

I was raised in a Methodist church, baptized at 9 months. I studied to be a Pastor and in the entire time I learned about people management, money management, everything except what I needed to learn about how to hear from and listen to God. I have come to find out this is the status quo for most of the denominations.

I did not understand until the late 80's that Christ was not the last name or title of Jesus. The truth about church, that was even harder. I had to learn that the meaning of "church" was not as most understand - that church is US, the individuals, not the buildings, or denominations. To be of the Church is to have received the revealed knowledge of who Jesus is as the Son of God and the Christ. Based on this revealed knowledge, I became a part of the church.

The point I am trying to make is that this study may be too much for some, and that if you read it and feel it is, then go to http://godsgifttoyou.com and click on "Life Starts Here". Read the study and all of the ones linked there in. And if that is too much then go to:

http://www.godsgiftforyou.com/HOME/biblestudy/abs.html

To go to the next study just add the number "1" after the "abs" in the address bar and before ".html". After reading and learning that Bible Study, continue to increase the number by one each time.

Example:

There ARE over 2,000 pages of studies, and if you take it nice and slow, seeking the help of the Holy Spirit to explain it all, it could take you about 2 years to understand. If you do this you should learn how to hear from God, and to listen to Him. It is up to you to obey. But anyone who hears God, listens intently, and obeys is blessed in all ways.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It took me 40 years to learn that I had it all wrong about God, and that made me mad, because I missed years of blessings. I did not understand what I should have, and of course, I missed years of time with God.

Understand that the verse that says the truth shall set you free (John 8:32) only refers to the areas in which you know the truth. So as you study on through this study and others here at godsgifttoyou.com, it should bring you truth and as you learn the truth you shall be set free.

You need to understand that Satan is a liar, and that almost all we see and hear via TV, radio, movies, etc. is controlled by Satan. So many people think they are creating and developing movies, TV shows/news, radio programs, music and more, but they would not have come up with the ideas if it were not for Satan.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Revelation 1:6

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

We are His people and He has made us priests and we are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge

Ok I am sure you have heard "by His stripes we are healed". Right? So when we get sick we ask for a healing and then by faith we are healed, Right?

Wrong! Scripture says "By His stripes we WERE healed. Meaning that 2,000 years ago He took it all on Himself and so when we were born we already were healed and never should have been sick, ill, or even injured.

So what happened?

We watch TV, listen to the radio, read the paper, and along with each there are ads that tell us when we have a headache to use this, or a sore throat use this, and so on. So then we allow ourselves to get sick because we do not know any better.

I Peter 2

24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Matthew 5

3. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I have heard the above verse like this: Blessed are the poor. Some churches will say it this way and then try to pick your pocket.

I heard a pastor of a Lutheran church preach the following:

We all have plane tickets to eternal life, but we do not know what destination they are validated for until we get on the plane. So no one knows who is saved and who is not. The Bible has something to say about whether you know where you are going or not.

Romans 8:16

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

If you are a child of God, wouldn't he want you to come home to HIM when you go on to the next phase of your existence? If you are not sure think about the Prodigal Son Parable (Luke 15 stating at vs11).

Understand that Satan has been here at least 7,000 years and we are here about 120 years and we think that we know enough to stand toe to toe with Satan. If we have faith in God it is not impossible.

Remember how faith comes in the first place:

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So we are told we are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge, and that faith comes by hearing the word.

Prosperity

In Isaiah 10:27 in the King James version the last word of the verse is the anointing, In all others the word is fatness. When traced back the word used here is basically "anointing", but it is "fatness" for this verse as well. "Anointing" is what "Christ" is translated from Greek to English. The best way to understand the meaning is to imagine a dry sponge put into a bowl of water. What happens is the sponge absorbs all of the water it can until it is running out of it, off of it in little rivers and so is the same for someone of Christ with the Spirit of God. The word fatness means abundance, the same as a sponge in a bowl of water, the sponge has an abundance of water. We, of Christ, should have an abundance of the Spirit of God in, on, and through us, so much that it runs out of us in rivers.

Isaiah 10

Isaiah 10:27

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

So what does this have to do with prosperity or healing?

In Isaiah 10:27 it reads "in that day", what day? What is the only day that counts to God? His day. The "Day of the Lord" is the day that is talked about here.

Luke 4:21

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus after reading from Isaiah 61:1-2 stated that He was anointed and what He was anointed to do and that the year of the Lord, year instead of day was upon them. In so many words, instead of being a day as we think of it, but a day as the present day, the current moment we are in, not the one to come or the one passed. It is the time we are involved in or living in at this moment. Then when He said that he was to preach the acceptable year of the Lord He meant that we are now constantly in the day of the Lord.

Understand that we are now in the acceptable year of the Lord and will be until His return. To be in the day/year of the Lord we are blessed, and blessed in ways we never before would understand.

In Isaiah 10:27 it tells us when the anointing comes and that day/year happens the burden shall be removed off thy shoulder.

Think of what could be a burden in your life.

I believe since we are told that we were healed, that means we do not need to receive a healing. We should never get sick to need a healing, but we were healed and as such cannot, or should not get sick or ill unless we allow it. Why do we allow it? Because we do not know better, so we allow sickness/illness in our life. What is the difference Ii you were raised with the knowledge that we were healed not we are healed?

If you knew without doubt that due to the stripes Jesus took for your healing 2,000 years ago that you were healed already before you ever were born, you would then believe and not get sick. But not knowing that we were healed and all you heard was about the medicine we need to help us when we are sick, then we would get sick, instead of being healed or constantly healthy.

Are you starting to see the point? The point being is that we have an enemy and that enemy has done his job well.

Think about it. Don't you remember believing that "by His (Jesus) stripes we are healed" meaning that we ask for our healing and we get it? If we realized scripture states "by His (Jesus) stripes we were healed" (1Peter 2:24) then we would know that we were healed long before we were ever even born, and as such we should live a life free of bondage to sickness, illness, etc.

So what bondage is removed from off our shoulder? (In Isaiah 10:27 when the anointing comes and that day/year happens the burden shall be removed off thy shoulder.) It means ALL bondage - anything that weighs you down and oppresses you. Sickness is a bondage and as such it is removed off our neck.

There are other bondages we need removed also. What about debt? Yes debt is a bondage it is even a sin. Anything that comes between us and God is a sin, and when you are in debt there are times that the debt has more of your attention than God does. Debt is a bondage, it does not just take up our time, but it also keeps us from giving to those in need. We are limited in what we can do, either for our family, ourselves, or the Lord. The more you think about it you will see that debt is a bondage.

Isaiah 10:27

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

A yoke was used and still is in some places on water buffalos, oxen, and large animals of this type on their shoulders and around the top half of the neck. It is what the farmer would use to tie rope to, to guide and control the animal. As such it was a form of bondage to the animal. A yoke is still used by humans to enable themselves to carry more weight, such as two large buckets of water balanced on the ends of the yoke instead of one or two smaller ones in the hands.

The yoke would not just be removed, it would be destroyed. The word "destroyed" in this verse is meant to totally annihilate to the point that nothing would be left at all, not even ash or dust would be left. So by the anointing our bondage would be removed and the yoke annihilated.

Here is another way of looking at it.

Bondage is anything that would come between you and God, but it also is anything that takes away your peace, or joy. Do you go to work because you want to or because you have to, to pay others. Many go to work daily and dread it. They do not work because they want to or feel they are doing anything of importance, but only do this to pay bills. They have to pay bills because they are in debt.

Genesis 12:7

And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.

Genesis 13

15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

16. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Genesis 15

5. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Matthew 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Galatians 3:16

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 3:29

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

As the seed of Abraham we are blessed. We should consider his blessings as our blessings. Abraham was 75 when he left his father's house with his wife, a few servants, Lot, and nothing else. Within a decade Abraham became one of the most blessed (rich & powerful) men ever. He did not consider that he left with nothing, or that he was 75 (old) and had nothing. All he did was believe God.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

We are told to do the same, to cast all of our cares (concerns, worries, and problems) upon God. If we give it to God, we should walk away and leave it with God. Yes, only by faith can this be done.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

So when we give God our problems and forget them (because He has them) it is the main way to please God. Think about it, we were healed by His stripes, so we should never get hurt, and being the seed of Abraham we are blessed. Abraham was richer in his day than Bill Gates is today, and Bill Gates is considered the richest man in the world today.

What has made me wonder the most is the fact that when Jesus walked this earth it was under the law not grace. Those He healed were healed by their faith. Jesus would say, "Your faith has made you whole. You are healed by your faith."

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mark 10:52

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And imediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

So, if during the law they had faith to heal them, how much more do we have under grace? Based on scripture we were healed, not going to be or will be, but already were healed 2000 years ago at the cross.

I Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Jesus lived a life free of sin to show us we could do it as well. We are supposed to live a life free of sin, free of sickness, illness, debt, or problems.

Mark 11

22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Not only are we to be blessed, but we are able to have all we desire if we have belief free of doubt .

John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The truth you know shall set you free in the area where you know the truth, so the more you learn of the truth, the more free you will become.

In the 2 following sets of verses we see 2 ways we can have help. First in I Peter 5:7 we see we can ask God to do what we can't do or we think is best handled for us. Then in Mark 11:22-26 we see how we can use our faith to do the same as we asked God to do for us. So, at first we find that with faith in God we are blessed and He will take our problems and handle them for us. Then we see in Mark how we can, by our faith, get what we need.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Mark 11

Since they are different they can not be compared to each other as which one requires more faith, and which would be first and second as far as faith goes. Yes, they both deal with faith in God, but Mark mostly deals with our faith going forth and doing what we want, where in I Peter 5 it is totally based on our faith in God. So it is like comparing apples and oranges.

What you should know by now is that by faith we are saved, and as we should live by faith we have already been healed in all areas, and been made whole in all areas of our life.

Remember Satan is a liar. He lies about everything. He turns the truth into lies.

John 8:44

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

He does this in different ways. He can take a truth and put just a little bit of lie into it so it becomes all lie. Think of a glass of water. If you add one drop of arsenic, strychnine, or cyanide, the entire glass of water is poison even if it 99.999% water. He can also take something away from a truth so it is no longer the entire truth. Think of a cake - you mix it up and leave out the flour, it will end up a gooey mess, not a cake at all, even though only one ingredient was left out. It is the same with the truth. Would you want to your spouse to come home and tell you they were out with their office friends after work, but leave out the part that they ended up at a stripper bar? It would have been a lie if you found out later, wouldn't it?

Satan pretends to be light, but there is nothing but darkness in him. He can take as scripture and twist it so it sounds like truth, but the meaning is completely changed. He tried to use scripture against Jesus in the wilderness, but since Jesus was the author of the Word of God, he knew the real meaning and could counter it with more scripture. We need to be like that. We need to learn the Word of God so well that we can see when someone tries to corrupt it an know the lie for what is.
