The Truth We Know

Jerry Wilhite, author

By His stripes we are healed, so the only way we are ever sick is due to believing the lie of man over the truth of God. By the truth in this area I am set free, so if we started being taught at birth that we are already healed, we would never be sick. The only reason we get sick is we believe the report of the world over God's report.

I Peter 2

24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

With 20,30, 40 or more years of hearing, seeing and reading about medicine that will help with headaches, pains, etc, how else should we believe?

Jesus would say to those healed, "go and sin no more". He would never tell us to do something if we could not do it, so even under the law, before Grace mankind could live without sinning. How much more under Grace should we do the same?

The way to true understanding the fullness of God's will is:

Listening to and obeying His words. We start by spending time daily being quite and listening for God's voice until we hear it well, and constantly.

Then by reading His word and allowing the Spirit of God to explain the word to us.

Then we need to share with others what we have learned, as well as reading over and over, out loud, what we have learned.

Hear, Obedient, Listen/understand, Share

Romans 8

16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 10

9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Mark 4

23. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

26. And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

27. And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

28. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

But when the fruit is brought forth, imediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

We should pay attention to what is being said no matter who is speaking. If we do not we are not just being rude, but stating we do not think who ever is speaking has anything worthy of being said.

When we pay attention we get all that is being said. Most, if not all of us listen and hear every other word. At the very least, we catch certain words to understand just the very basics of what is being said. In doing this later, it comes back to us. Think about how many times you may have told someone what to do, and how to do it, but since they only heard part of it. They may have only heard what to do, but not how to do it, so later they ask you how to do it. Then you ask, "Didn't you hear any of what I said?" To them they heard what they thought was all of what you said, but you know they did not hear it all, or they would not be asking how to do the job. We have all done this; it is a form of selective hearing. It is not that we did not hear them, we just did not hear it all. This is part of the problem in the world today with today's church..

We need to deligently listen to all of what is said, then share with each other.

Hebrews 11

6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We all know we are set free by knowing the truth, right?

John 8

32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

That area or part of the truth you know (have knowledge) will set you free in that area only, not in all areas.

33. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever comitteth sin is the servant of sin.
35. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

If we are free of sin, then our freedom is from death, Hell, and the grave, and while here on earth we are set free of sickness, debt, lack, etc. because all of these are of sin. As soon as we learn a truth and turn over the problem to God and let Him have it, and we totally let go of it, (meaning we no longer even remember it) then we are free.

I Peter 5

7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

In I Peter 5:7 the word care means, problems, concerns, health issues, debt, lack, etc.
So if we turn them all over to God and no longer own it, have it, and gave it to God, so now it is His, He owns it, we will be free in these areas. The only way we can give it to God and forget it is by faith.

So we hear from God and deligently listen and hear every word He says, then we allow His Spirit to help us understand every word of the Bible and share with others that which we have learned. Then we will be given even more to share. In this process we are freed of all of our problems and concerns and can live for God.

Below is a truth we read two forms of the same prayer. The Lord's prayer, one in Matthew and one in Luke. If a person reads the book of Matthew and then Luke with all they read in between they may not realize the difference between them. So I use this below just to show how we may miss a truth. Not a truth that is earth shMattering, but still a truth. You may run in to someone praying the Lord's prayer from Luke and try to correct them by stating, "You missed some things in the Lord's prayer." But they did not, because Luke's was not as long as Matthew's. I also share this, because my wife and I attended a Catholic wedding, and in it we all were invited to pray the Lord's prayer. And since most Catholics use Luke 11:2-4 of the Lord's prayer, at the end everyone finished short of "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." The Lord's prayer in Luke ends with "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

Luke was recording Jesus as a man, and Matthew was recording Jesus as royalty.

Luke 11 2. |2036| he said |1161| And |0846| to them, |3752| When |4336| you pray, |3004| say, |3962| Father, |0037| may be holy |3588| the |3686| name |4675| of You. |2064| May come |3588| the |0932| kingdom |4675| of You. 3. |3588| The |0740| bread |2257| of us |3588| the |1967| of the next day |1325| give |2254| to us |3588| - |2596| day by |2250| day. 4. |2532| And |0863| forgive |5213| us |3588| the |0266| sins |2257| of us, |2532| also |1063| for |0846| ourselves |0863| we forgive |3956| everyone |3784| indebted |2254| to us. |2532| And so |3361| not |1533| lead |2248| us |1519| into |3986| temptation.

Matthew 6 9. |3779| in this way |3767| Therefore, |4336| pray |5210| you: |3962| Father |2257| of us |3588| - |1722| in |3588| the |3772| heavens, |0037| let be sanctified |3588| the |3686| name |4675| of You. 10. |2064| Let come |3588| the |0932| kingdom |4675| of You. |1096| Let be done |3588| the |2307| will |4675| of You, |5613| as |1722| in |3772| Heaven, |2531| also |1909| on |3588| the |1093| earth. 11. |3588| The |0740| bread |2257| of us |3588| the |1967| daily, |1325| give |2254| to us |4594| today, 12. |2532| and |0863| forgive |2254| us |3588| the |3783| failings |2257| of us, |5613| as |2532| also |2249| we |0863| forgive |3588| the |3781| failings |2257| of us. 13. |2532| And |3361| not |1533| do lead |2248| us |1519| into |3986| temptation, |0235| but |4508| deliver |2248| us |0575| from |3588| the |4190| evil; |3754| because |4675| of You |2076| is |3588| the |0932| kingdom, |2532| and |3588| the |1411| power, |2532| and |3588| the |1391| glory |1519| to |3588| the |0165| ages. |0281| Amen.

Luke 11

Matthew 6

2. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3. Give us day by day our daily bread. 4. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11. Give us this day our daily bread. 12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Luke - Jesus as a man

Matthew - Jesus as Royal blood

Mark - Jesus Ministry Power

John - Jesus the Loving God.

The truth is they are both the same, Luke just did not write it all, or thought that what he left out, he was not sure it was accurate.
