Interpretation
Jerry Wilhite, author It is told to us in Hosea 4:6 we are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. When reading it, remember in Revelation 1 we are referred to as Priests and kings. The problem is this, God knew we would need help, and the help we needed was knowledge. The reason it is knowledge and the reason the knowledge is given in a way that seems so hard, is to keep Satan at bay. There are two ways to read the word of God, one is interpreting and one is understanding. Now this is where you make the choice, and if you keep an open mind and do not get offended this can bless you, not just now, but down the road. The problem is we have a real enemy and he has been here a lot longer than we have and if we are very fortunate we can get ahead, but it takes time. To understand the word requires the Holy Spirit. This way Satan would only be able interpret his own way, not truly understand it all, so he will at least be behind us if we learn the word. I know you are right now thinking, "Why have I not already been taught the word by now?" or, "Pastor, you are way off base." But I have helped more than I can count who were in trouble like you . Most never learn until they have their backs to the wall. So we start by asking God for the anointing (Christ). The anointing or Christ is the Spirit of God, in, on and through us. I have been a pastor for 12 years as far as being what I call being in the light, before that I spent 16 years in the dark. I trained in the Methodist to be a Reverend, but it was not until I got the spirit of God in, on, and through me that I really learned what I needed to grow. I can now pray and ask and know my answer will come for me, and most of the time for others. The problem is where their faith is, and it is by this that their answers will come. Remember Jesus told those He healed and helped "you are healed by your faith". The only time He could not help was in His own hometown where they all knew Him from His youth. Since they could not believe in Him, they got nothing in return. Now how does faith come, Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. What is the word? John 1:14 And the word became flesh. Now realize you have to overcome the world, because the world is based on Satan. To remove the worldly obstacles from you is not easy, but these walls must to come down. For now you can count on God for a blessing to help, but this will not be anything more than something temporary, not long term. You get the help you need to continue on with the growth so when it happens again you can be prepared and overcome it without waiting on God. I will be praying for you. Understand there are two types of prayer, asking, and praise. If you ask a friend in another state on Friday for $100 and they say they will mail it to you and you talk to them again on Saturday, do you ask again? No, if anything you will thank them because you know it takes a couple days for the check to get to you via mail. Well it is the same with God, when we keep asking and asking we are showing a lack of faith. When you ask, and then praise Him for the answer until you get it, you will see more answers.
