Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Satan Did Not Tell the First Lie

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

You may be shocked to learn the first lie was not told by Satan but by Eve.

Genesis 3

2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

No Satan did not lie when he said "Ye shall not surely die." because God had only told Adam he would die, nothing about anyone else, nothing about Eve or their children.

Genesis 2

16. And the Lord God comanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

You see God only comanded Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve could touch or eat and nothing would happen and as we saw it was not until Adam ate that it became a sin.

[Including feminine raaah; as adjective or noun.].

People think that as soon as the sin was comitted, at that point mankind could not be in the presence of God any more:

Exodus 33

18. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

But before this in Genesis 1-6 there were those who could see the face of God and live.

Adam and Eve were not cast out of the presence of God, just out of the garden.

Cain was still in the presence of God, after he murdered his brother Abel.

Genesis 4

Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Cain felt the punishment for killing his brother was too harsh, that he would be hid from the face of God.

Enoch, in Genesis 5, not only walked with God, but was taken by God. Enoch did not die, he was taken in the flesh to be with God.

Genesis 5

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

In Genesis 6 we see that God found Noah to be perfect. We know it was not in the spirit, so the only other thing it could be is in the flesh.

Noah was born before the fallen angels and mankind had children, but Noah's wife was born after the time of the fallen angels and mankind. So Noah's 3 sons were half-and-half. Due to this sin was in the flesh. Not only did Satan fix it so we could no longer be in the presence of God, but Satan arranged it so the battle would result with more of his victories than God's. Think about it, the spiritual connection was gone, there was a void where once was the Spirit, and now even the flesh cried out for things of the world. If you look, after these two, which was when they fell into perversions to the point God wanted to start over.

So Satan knowing that if he could divide mankind and God, not just in the spirit but in the flesh as well, he would have an easier time winning.

Matthew 12

25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Jesus told us a kingdom divided would fall, and what better way to divide than to keep a king apart from His subjects in the spirit and in the flesh as well. It would require a lot more faith than Satan saw in mankind to overcome the problem of the flesh.

1 Corinthians 1

11. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Paul had to deal with division in the early church. Now add to that a few thousand years and a lot of the world in each of us. What you come up with is a kingdom very divided.

What are most of the divisions over?

* Dunking Vs sprinkling

* Infant Vs of age for baptism of water

* There are even those who teach if you are not baptized, you are not saved. (So if that were the case why did Jesus have to die?)

* Once saved, always saved

* There are those who believe you can be born into the kingdom. (Since their parents were of a certain religion, and they are born into it and attend all of the services, that makes them saved.)

* Then there are those who believe in different levels of Hell, purgatory, limbo, etc.

* Comunion has to be wine Vs it can be juice.

* If you partake of comunion you are judged. (Even though in John 3:17 it states Jesus did not come to judge or condemn.)

For the most part the differences are not enough really to divide but they do.

The lies started in the beginning with either Eve thinking she could not touch the fruit or Adam added that bit to keep her away from the tree. When in all actuality it did not mattered if EVE ate from or touched the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

I know there are those out there wondering why God would put such a tree in the garden to begin with.

It is like when you have a young child; you do not cut the power off to the house. Instead you teach the child not to stick his/her finger in the socket. Of course you can cover them, but some small children could still get the cover off.

To God Adam was like a young child is to us. You do not remove the electricity, instead you teach them not to touch until they are OLD ENOUGH to use it right. I am sure, in time, God would have taught Adam how to use the knowledge of good and evil, but since it got released before he was old enough, God had to change plans. First God had to start planting His word into the earth until He could have one agree with Him based in faith to have a child of the Holy Spirit, to bring the Son of God into the earth to pay the price for mankind.

You see there are so many lies Satan has sown into the world system. We are here 70, 90, or100 years during which time we have to overcome the lie and learn the total truth.

I have heard so many lies, like, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never harm me". Boy, that one is from Hell it self.

How about this one "Yes, Jesus saves, and yes, you need Jesus to be saved, and by His blood you are saved, but you have plenty of time. Wait until later; enjoy life now."

The lies go on and on. Imagine Satan has had thousands of years to develop his lies to our so few years here just trying to find the truth.

But here comes what I consider the worse lie of all. Satan probably considers it His best lie.

"Cast down all vain imaginations" right, you are only man not God, you can not control every single thought.

Satan almost had me with that one. For years he had me believing that the verse meant to only cast down the worst thoughts, not all of the thoughts. He almost had me convinced that if I cast down the top 10% those which are the worst of all, I was doing it right and should be happy.

Have any of you thought "This guy must be nuts to tell me that I could control all of my thoughts and cast down all thoughts"?

I tell you the truth now, it is not that hard. I thought it was impossible, but far from it.

At first, due to the lie and the constant bombardment of the lie about it being to hard to control my thoughts, I thought it was almost impossible to just control the top 10%. Much less all 100%, but it is not impossible. It is not that hard after a period of time. For me once I realized the truth and set my mind to the task at hand it got easier and easier until one day I noticed it was not as hard as it once had been. That does not mean I am out of the battle or it is all over for me, it does mean that now I realize in the not to distant future I will have more of my thoughts under control than I ever had out of control.

For those of you who still do not understand why this is important, or what you will get out of it, It is the most important truth you will ever get from mankind.

With your thoughts under control and captive to the word of God, it makes it a lot easier to stand on the word and believe for things to happen.

In another study I have on line called "Word and Power" you learn how, with the words of your mouth and the power of God within you, you can have what you pray for as stated in Mark 11:22-26. Before the words can work with the power, you have to have control of your thoughts. Otherwise you will wander off on something else, and not believe you can have what Mark 11:22-26 says you can have.

You start with:

1. Salvation, calling upon the name of Jesus to be born again.

2. Hearing from God directly.

3. Growing into the church via revelation knowledge of Whom Jesus is as the Christ and the true Son of God.

4. Continuing your growth into the body of Christ, after asking God to anoint you with His Spirit you learn that this is the place where true knowledge beginnings.

5. Replace all judging with total forgiveness, that means forgetting.

6 .As you begin to control your thoughts, you start to see the word of God manifest itself in the flesh in your presence.

7. As the word manifests itself in your presence you start to control more thoughts and then speak the word with the power of God added to it, and then all you have hoped for comes about.

I had heard for years "Say it as though it is, even though it is not." I did try it and every once in a while it would partly work. Then I learned to control my thoughts, and when this started the thoughts lined up with the words I spoke. When my thoughts were under my control, added to that the power of God in me, then as I spoke I felt the power working with my words. Then I started seeing things happening in ways I never had before.

So those who taught us to say what we wanted even though it was not a reality yet were correct. The only problem was it takes a controlled mind and no vain imaginations along with the spoken word and faith.

When you have control of your thoughts they do not become just thoughts of the word of God, they can be of a plant or flower, a sunset or sunrise. Thoughts that are not vain but uplifting, edifying, and of God's kingdom are thoughts under control. No, it is not sitting there only thinking of scripture or of God only. There are so many things we can think of that fit in very well. One of the biggest shocks for me was discovering I could sit and have no thoughts at all. When that first happened to me it was like a high, I can not remember when I could sit and not think of anything at all.

There is a problem saying certain things or words too often they lose their meaning when spoken over and over.

So be careful with what you say, remember Jesus said to the rich young fool that the only good at all was God. If that is the case we have over used the word so today it has little if any meaning. Same for saying "God bless you" over and over to the point when it is said it has no meaning.

We have to control the words of our mouth; we will be judged by every vain word that comes out of our mouth. The only way you can control the words of your mouth is to control what you think. If you do not think it, you will not say it. This way you will never hurt a spouse, child, parent, friend or loved one with words. You will never have regrets over what you say.

As you can see controlling what you say can make a big difference in your life, and that can only start by what words you make yours by what you think.

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1

2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
