Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Original Thought

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author

There is no original thought. If you think you have had an original thought, think again. Everything we think we have thought for the first time has been thought before.

We are at war, and the war is over our souls and spirits. Our soul is our mind ( thoughts), will, and emotions. Our spirit is who we really are. Our flesh (body) is just a vehicle that gets us around.

In this study you will find scripture that backs up what I am saying, and it is not taken out of text. You can go read all the scripture around it and it still says the same thing.

In the beginning God told Adam that if he ATE of the tree he would die. God did not say that if he touched it, he would die.

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

In the following verses we will see what thought does, and where it has led man.

Genesis 20:11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God [is] not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.

Abraham's thinking produced fear, and his faith was weakened. This led him to lie about who his wife was. Yes, she was his half sister, but a small or part lie is still a lie. Most lies come out of fear. Fear is God's faith twisted to become Satan's faith.

Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; [but] God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as [it is] this day, to save much people alive.

Even out of evil thought comes good, if God is in charge.

Exodus 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it [is] a stiffnecked people:

Exodus 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

Exodus 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

Exodus 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

Exodus 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit [it] for ever.

Exodus 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

If the Lord repents of thoughts, then shouldn't we also?

Deuteronomy 15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

1 Samuel 1:13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

Out of our thoughts comes judgement (read Matthew 7:1-4).

Psalm 64:6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward [ thought] of every one [of them], and the heart, [is] deep.

Psalm 119:59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

Proverbs 24:9 The thought of foolishness [is] sin: and the scorner [is] an abomination to men.

Proverbs 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, [lay] thine hand upon thy mouth.

Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, [so] shall it stand:

Ezekiel 38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

It is when evil enters our minds that evil thoughts begin, or when God comes in our mind that Godly thoughts begin.

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD heMarkened, and heard [it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

In the above verses, Jesus talks about thought, and we see thought as meditating. You have to decide to eat a sandwich, but don't meditate on it, just eat it.

Thoughts that are meditated on give entrance to sin, if they are not thoughts of God.

Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Thoughts can lead to repenting.

John 11:13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

John 13:29 For some [of them] thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy [those things] that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

Acts 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

So how are we to overcome our thoughts?

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers

So as the battle heats up for our minds and our thoughts we have many weapons at our disposal.

But as you can see Satan is hard at work to get us to think his thoughts. Thoughts that are wicked are just not of God.

We accept wicked thoughts, thoughts of this world, or we allow God's thoughts to prevail. You do not have an original thought. You either have thoughts from God, or from Satan.

y prayer for you is that all your thoughts are Godly ones. Amen.

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1

2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
