The following is more of a follow up and an explanation to a previous study. Yes, sowing is awesome, but the way to get the most out of your seed is as follows. 1. Tithe to who ever feeds you, if no one now, the one who fed you the most in the past. 2. Offering, an offering along with the tithe, is like the tithe paying for a meal, and then the offering is the tip for the service. 3. Donations, this is from the heart no return here in money but it helps you spiritually more than you can ever know. 4. Sowing, this is done after all of the above, it is done for a return. It is like a farmer sowing seed in the ground, if he did not expect a crop from the seed he would not sow. Sowing is important. God set the tithe up to be an instrument to feed those who are feeding others as well as those in need. So if we tithe to where we are fed, then where we are fed has a means to operate and help those tithing to it, and to help those who are need of being fed but not yet tithing. Just because you tithe does not mean you will be blessed in any way. And if you are giving anything less than 10% of YOUR GROSS INCOME then you are not tithing and those who tell you to grow into tithing are miss leading you. The tithe is the tithe and that means 10% of your gross not net, So if you gross $2000 a month, your tithe would be $200. And if your net is $180 and you give $18 you might as well burn that $18 because that is about all the good it is to you based on the tithe. You need to understand all I just said and what the tithe does for you. This is the only time God will tell you to test Him. The tithe is like an insurance policy. Like with all insurance policies what ever you are insured for that is all the insurance company will pay for. The tithe is of your income, it protects all you bring in. If you are or have ever lived from check to check and it seems like there is a black hole eating your income. Or you should have enough but never seem to have enough. This is where the tithe comes in and helps. It protects your ground, today your ground would be your income. I have heard from more people than you can imagine. Each telling me how the tithe has helped and protected their jobs. After starting tithing one told me it was not 2 weeks and she noticed she had more money left over, than ever before. But she also was being protected in her job. There was another person who gave her a hard time even got her to think her days at work were numbered. But what happened was 4 days after she started tithing this person was gone. Yes, the tithe covers many areas, all that deal with your income. Now offering is something else, it is part of your tithe in away. Some teach two tithes, I think what they are teaching is right. What is wrong is what they are calling it, it is not a part of their tithe. Imagine the tithe as the money you pay at a resturant for a meal. Then the offering is the tip for the service. Some of you are now thinking I have lost it, but think about this for a minute. The tithe deals with our income but it is to cover the food for the store house so there will be plenty for all. That does not mean there will be plenty of money for all, but that by the tithe there will be some one there to help you grow, feed you spiritually. Then the offering as a tip on the service, you tip the person who serves you based on the service you receive from them. The same is here, the person feeding you spiritually deserves a tip for the service. How much more worthy of a tip is the person who feeds your spirit over the one who feeds your bosy. Who ever feeds your spirit is doing it unto enternity, where the other is for a few hours. Some say the offering should be the same as the tithe others say it should be 20% of the tithe. I feel this is an area best guided by God and until you hear from Him I would do either or the other, offer the same as the tithe or 20%. If you give 20% and find out it is equal to the tithe then you only have to give 4 times more of what you gave at first. Some of you may be saying that is to much to give. I know people including my self that are tithing, and giving almost as much as our tithe and we have found the more we give the more we have. But it does require faith (Faith is believing without doubt), understanding what it is all about, why and so on. But that is not all, next is the donation, those who donate may not realize it, but there is reward for donations. God will be in debt to no one, so when you donate to a ministry, God considers it something that needs to be returned. Donations should be done of the heart, this is the only one that you give anywhere just because you want to. Sowing, sowing can not be succesfull all the time and to the max of what it could be unless you are tithing and giving offerings. But when you do tithe, and give offerings and donations, then look for a place to sow. Sowings is finding like a farmer would do, good ground to sow into, to get the most of your seed to return back 30, 60 and 100 fold and more. A farmer planting corn does not plant anything else with the corn. The same is here, you find a ministry that you can see the ground is good, then you sow and expect like the farmer a harvest. This reaping what you sow, and it is all scriptural and goes all the way back to Genesis 1. Sowing is important, it is due to sowing that we can do the most in getting the word out. Remember the tithe and offering is to the people who are feeding those already saved. But out of the harvest of the sowing and from that sowed comes also those lost into the kingdom of God. When you sow into a ministry it gives them the means to reach the lost. And then when you reap your harvest you are blessed. From the harvest, that you just reaped gives you even more to sow the next time. Recap God has the tithe and offering to keep those He has chosen to feed those who are teaching. Then the donation is straight from the heart and God honors this more than you can ever know. And mostly for the soul and Spirit. Sowing is needed to keep the harvest coming so there is tithe, offerings and donations. It underscores all the others. I hope this helps you in the areas of giving.
