Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Cares, Anxiety, Worries

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

This study is not meant to offend, but it might offend some people, so I ask you to please have an open mind.

I have been asked about which way we should react, turn the other cheek or bomb the terrorists. Here are a few verses we need to look at.

Mark 12

15. Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? Bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16. And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.

17. And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

By asking the Lord about things of the world and the way they asked it, He knew they were trying to trap Him with His own words.

The question also deals with the world; asking Him about the world was a temptation (not saying Jesus would be tempted) but that anyone who could and would try to tempt Him was wrong to begin with.

So what should we do if we can not ask? That is easier than you can imagine.

1 Peter 5

7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

In the literal version we see anxiety instead of cares.

7.

|3956| all

|3588| the

|3308| anxiety

|5216| of you

|1977| Throwing

|1909| onto

|0846| Him,

|3754| because

|0846| to Him

|3199| it matters

|4012| concerning

|5216| you.

Actually, after researching the word for cares in verse 7, it would be any and all of the following words:

Anxiety

Cares

Concerns

Problems

Any distraction from God in your life.

So, debt, lack, relationship, healing, as you can see the list goes on and on.

Anything that would take your eyes off of God and place them on this world would be a problem.

Satan is trying to get us to be of the world. Remember we are in the world, but not of the world.

So should we then be worried about the terrorist attacks that happened or may happen?

Neither, we should roll all of our cares, concerns, problems, etc., onto God and let Him handle them.

We had a great chance on 9-11-01 to show the world that God is alive and in control. If we had at that moment, all of us dropped to our knees and asked Him to take over by now it would be done.

Is it too late to do that?

It is never too late. But it will not give Him the glory as it would of on 9-11-01.

Remember the only way to please God is by faith, and in order to roll our cares, concerns, etc onto Him we must have faith.

Hebrews 11

6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

So now you have the perfect chance to exercise your faith, please God, and help the whole world.

Also, how can you have the peace, joy, love and the other 6 fruit of the Spirit of God if you are carrying around the burdens of the world on your back?

Imagine how we must look to God with all the weight we carry that we do not have to.

So if anyone asks what we should do, say, "1Peter 5:7 Roll the problem onto God and let Him handle it, He is big enough."

Well, what about the troops and pilots and the others over seas?

As you should always do, pray for their safe return home.

SO, President Bush is wrong to attack?

I did not say that, and am not about to say what is right or wrong for another. As far as I know God gave President Bush the green light to attack, but I would doubt it. So what we can do, is roll this all over on God, pray for our people, their safe return home, and that President Bush is hearing from and following God.

That is a lot more than most; the majority might pray for a fast war, light on casualties, and success for us. I have heard that prayed, but that allows for some to die or be hurt, the war to go on, and no way to glorify God.

So, we all have a responsibilities to pray, roll over our cares on to God, and to praise God, to listen and be obedient to God. Is that not enough? For me it seems a lot more than I had to do yesterday, with knowledge of a very positive outcome all the way around.

Her is one last thing to consider. When Peter denied knowing Jesus 3 times (one time even cursing His name) did Jesus forgive him?

Yes, but only after He gave Peter3 opportunities to repent . In the last chapter of John, Jesus asked Peter 3times, "Do you love Me? The first two times mirror the first two times Peter denied knowing Jesus and the word for love that he used was referring to "a friend type of love, or platonic". The third time Peter denied and then cursed Jesus. The third time Jesus asked Peter, "Do you love Me?" it was a corporate type of love. So here is Peter, within earshot of Jesus denying & cursing Him who has been beaten and abused, and is being lead away to be crucified. But even still, Jesus loved Peter.

Don't forget the other apostles who disappeared that night and even those who yelled, "Crucify HIM!" in a short time were offered salvation.

If you look through the word you will see many times that Jesus was put to the test, tempted, and wrongly accused. What did He do in return?

Did He bring legions of angels down to defend Him? Did He have the earth open up and swallow them?

No, because He came to die for us, and He showed us how to live.

All I have to say is, "Before you decide what should be done to those who have attacked us, seek God on the matter."

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1
2.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
