Healing is for All

We have all heard His (Jesus) Stripes heal us, but we need to remember the exact wording. It may not seem that big of a deal at first, but in time, as you study this verse, you will see and understand the importance of knowing it word for word correctly. 1 Peter 2 22. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23. Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but comitted himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. The correct wording is "By His stripes we WERE healed" and the "His" here is the "Christ's" Ok, let's take the first part - WERE healed. If we already were healed we could not be sick, ill or injured. When the word "were" is used it means past tense, and in this verse past means 2,000 years ago. As soon as the Christ took those stripes on Himself for us it was a done deal. He never deserved a single stripe much less 39. When we were healed it does not refer to the physical only. Luke 4 18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. First let's look at the King James Version: Jesus first tells us that the Spirit of God (Lord) is upon Him, not just in Him. Next He tells us that the Spirit of God is upon Him because He was anointed by God. Before we go on let's find out what else the anointed is known as: Strong's Ref. # 5547 Romanized Christos Pronounced khris-tos' from GSN5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: KJV--Christ. We know now that Jesus was anointed with the Spirit of God, meaning not just in Him, but in, on and through. Take a dry sponge place it in a bowl of water and what happens? The sponge absorbs the water, in, on and through it. That is how Jesus was with the Spirit of God and how we should be when we are of Christ. The Jews even knew of this and were waiting for it to happen: Isaiah 10 27. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Ok, now we understand what Christ is, and with what the Christ, Jesus, was anointed. Now what was He anointed for, or to do while here on the earth? He was to: 1. preach the good news to the poor; Preach good news to the poor - what is or would be good news to the poor? They are blessed in Spirit, ok, but to all of the poor I ever met that just does not do it for them. There is an old saying that would go well here. People do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. So in the physical it would be deliverance - away out of being poor. Did Jesus state this any where else? There are many verses, but for now let's look at Mark 11:22-26 Mark 11 22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. In V 22 we are to have faith in God to start with and in v26 to end we are to be forgiving to all, no matter what. So we know we start with faith in God and we are forgiving of everything to everyone, including our self. Then if we do not doubt and believe, what ever we ask for will be done for us, and come about for us, or be revealed to us. The key is actually in verse 24 - what ever we desire if we believe that we receive them, we shall have them. Now look at the word "receive". That is used when something is already there and all we have to do is take position of it. We are told by His stripes we were healed, so all we have to do is receive or believe in what has already been done for us. We are to receive it as it already is there. He does not say in a day or two or even an hour or two; He just says believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Our problem is we have been pre-programed by the world and we know who is in control of the world (Satan). Our healing was before we are born, so we should never get ill, sick ,or injured in the physical at all, but healing can mean physical, relationship, funds, soul, and more. Jesus never limits us, we limit ourselves and God. If you dug two feet deep in your yard and found gold, and not just a little but millions of dollars worth, you would believe it because you could see it. The Gold was ALWAYS there, even before you dug the hole, so why can we not believe what we have even though we have not actually seen it yet. In Luke 4:18 in the Literal translation instead of stating "recovery of sight to the blind" it says a new sight. It refers to a new sight, to see the truth, the full truth. Remember in earlier studies we talked about the truth, and the only part of the truth that sets you free is that part of the truth you know. So with a new sight you can see what others cannot due to the lies of the world. Think about this, Jesus was anointed with the Spirit of God to preach Good News: To the poor, (Physical or spiritual) means a way out of being poor. To heal the brokenhearted , (Physical or spiritual) means relationships both in the spiritual and the physical will be good again. Deliverance to the captives, (Physical or spiritual) means to be delivered of debt (when someone is in debt they are captive to the debtor), for addictions to removed or overcome, delivered of the wicked thoughts of the mind that Satan tries to force on us. Recovery of sight or a new sight would be needed to see through all of the lies of Satan and the world system. Set at liberty them that are bruised in the literal is "to send away crushed {ones} in deliverance". To better understand this let's look at what the Jews were waiting for the anointing to do for them: Isaiah 10 27. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. The Jews were waiting for the Christ (anointing) to take away all burdens in their life as well as destroying the yoke off their neck. A yoke off their neck could be like chains of a slave on their neck. Also it could be debt, sickness, illness, problems in relationships, and so on. The word destroy would be totally destroyed to the point there is no evidence that there ever was the yoke in their life, nothing left, not even a microbe. Below is Luke 4:18 in the Literal version. We started looking at I Peter about the stripes taken by Jesus for us, also the one other point I mentioned was the fact that the verses refer to Christ, not Jesus as taking the stripes for us. As far as the Christ or Jesus being used as the one who received the stripes is important to us because if it were just Jesus then we would only be healed in our physical. Since Christ took the stripes we are healed in all areas, the physical body (flesh), soul (mind, will and emotions), Spirit is connected to the soul, the spirit is also connected to God's Spirit. So all this time we have been believing "we are healed by His stripes" so it could be now, or later instead of already so there is no delay. Before we believed it was just the physical and now we know it is all areas. So we were healed in our mind (way of thinking), will (more in line with God now), emotions (those who are brokenhearted due to a lost loved one). Think about it - since we "WERE HEALED" and were healed in all areas, we should never have gotten into the problems we have or used to have, If we had been raised, since birth, with these simple truths we never would have been or will be sick again. We never would have problems with our relationships, no depression, no sadness, no judging, total forgiveness, letting go of everything for God to take control. We would be whole in all areas, no lack, and no debt. Matthew 6 10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven means that which is in heaven is available here on Earth - health, happiness, no debt, a close personal relationship with the Lord. 13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil - I have heard and I am sure some of you have heard that God tests us from time to time, or at the very least (He) allows us to be tested. A lot of this thinking is based on Job 1:8 8. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? As it reads above it would appear that way, but remember the King James Version of the Bible was written in 1612 AD almost 400 years ago. The language has changed a lot since then - for instance in present day English in England a: Lift is Elevator Post is the mail Solicitor is Lawyer Car has bonnet (hood) As you can see there can be misunderstandings in the present day English between England and the US, so there is almost 300 years difference as well. So what do you get? Add a question Mark after "my servant Job" 8. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Now we see that God was questioning Satan about his intentions for Job. So instead of pointing Job out to Satan, God is questioning Satan. Since almost all who believe that God tests us, or allows us to be tested uses Job 1:8 as their proof, they now have a problem. How can anyone believe God would test or allow testing of His children when in Matthew 6 we read that God wants His will to be done on earth as in heaven, or Mark 11:22-26 that shows us how to have all we ever wanted. The idea is this, we are very young children, especially when we are first born again. Since we are so young we have to learn. We need to learn to control our thoughts, and as we do we find out it is not as hard as we thought it would be. If we make a mistake and fall we should just get back up and try harder not to fall again, and we need to forgive ourselves. It is interesting in the Literal version of the Bible in Matthew 6:12 where we read forgive our debts as we forgive those who are in debt to us states it as forgiving our selves as well. 12. |2532| and |0863| forgive |2254| us |3588| the |3783| failings |2257| of us, |5613| as |2532| also |2249| we |0863| forgive |3588| the |3781| failings |2257| of us. My prayer for you is:
If you have read the studies before this one dealing with the way we think and the way we should think, then by now you should be able to apply what you learned here at once without having to wait to find some more scriptural truth to help you flow as you should in your healing.
2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth
