Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

The Light Part I

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The light in the above verse is not the light that we see with our eyes, the light of the sun, moon and stars, and definitely not the artificial light made by man.

In the following verses you will see that God did not create the light we see until day four.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Genesis 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

Genesis 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Genesis 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that [it was] good.

Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

So what is the light in vs 3 ?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In the Hebrew, the word "created" in vs 1 is the same word as is translated "formed". That which God forms, no one can make without form.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

There are some people out there who think the above verse (vs2) refers to when Lucifer was cast down. But it doesn't. If this was Lucifer being cast down, then Lucifer would have been the bringer of destruction. We learned that destruction comes from sin. Without sin there is no death or destruction. The earth was never made for angels, not even fallen angels. It was made for man, so only man could sin and bring destruction on the earth. Otherwise, why did Jesus die for man? Did He die for Satan ? No, Jesus died for us, because of sin. There are more references to the destruction, and the deterioration of the earth because of sin of man, not the iniquity of Lucifer. Lucifer had to act on that iniquity, and that action was tempting Adam to sin. That is when God cursed the serpent, not Satan, but a serpent (Lucifer).

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cMattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

To help prove this point even further that Lucifer was not cast down or has not yet been cast down;

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Why do we need an advocate, unless someone is accusing us ?

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

In the above verse we see why we need an avocate, also we see that it refers to Satan as our accuser. And that Satan accused us BEFORE GOD, day and night.

The earth was without form; the earth was made for man, and man was not formed yet, so man or what the earth was made for was without form. Remember Adam was not a name at first, but Adam was what he was, like we are men and women. He was named Adam after he had a part removed to form Eve. The earth was as much part of Adam, and Adam of the earth as anything made on or in the earth.

In Revelation chapter 12 it tells how when Satan is cast down he knows his time is short. Short like a few years, until he is cast down, he does not know the day or the hour of the return of Jesus, so he does not know how short his time is until he is finally cast down.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Verse 2b; and void; man after sin was void.

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

We know Adam did not die as far as the flesh (body) is concerned, so what died was his spirit. When the spirit is dead there is a huge void left in its place.

Verse 2c; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. The word "darkness" in this verse in Hebrew is "evil". The void from the death of the spirit led to a void deep in the heart of man. The darkness or evil filled the void, therefore the darkness (evil) was upon the face of the deep.

Genesis 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

Genesis 4:11 And now [art] thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

The above verses show the evil, here are the first two born of the only two on earth and one kills the other. We have violence today, but not has high a percentage as in the beginning. This made 25% of the world's population comitting violence by destroying a full 25% of the population.

And of what are we mostly made? Water. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

So what is the light of v3? It is not the light we see, it is not God, He is light.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

The light is when God anointed Jesus as the light of our salvation.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 5:33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

John 5:34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.

John 5:35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John 11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Here is more proof of the darkness (evil) and the light (good).

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

And Jesus appears in light, as light.

Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon [him], and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from [his] hands.

We should also be light.

Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord comanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

Acts 22:11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

Acts 26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, [and] to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Acts 26:23 That Christ should suffer, [and] that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Romans 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who comanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness

And He (God) divided the light from dark. In the end He will separate the sheep from the wolves.

The light is the anointing and glory of God in and on man. Christ is Greek for the anointing, and the anointing is the light, so Christ is that light, and being Christ like we should be light like. A light unto the dark, or good unto the evil, so they will have a beacon to follow to the Lord.

To help you see that God was seperating the good from the evil that the night and day in Genesis 1:5 is the good and evil or saved and not saved, here are a few verses;

1 Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

In the above verse Paul uses light and day as good followers of Christ, and darkness and evil as of Satan. But if that is not enough, here are some more;

Matthew 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Luke 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

Luke 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and [in] the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 2:32 A light to light the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

1 John 2:8 Again, a new comandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light .

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light :

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light .

Romans 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

If by now you have not gotten it, read on;

Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

In the above verse petros was the Greek word used for Peter, meaning a piece of the rock and upon this rock was petras which is the rock. So Jesus said Simon you are now a piece of The Rock and this is what Jesus was and has built His church on. What is the rock, the revelation Simon got of who Jesus was, or enlightnedment of who Jesus was and is. So the church is built on the enlightenment or revelation of who Jesus is!

When Jesus is revealed in your life you have recieved the light , the light which is life (John 1:4, Genesis 1:3). Do you see that God in the beginning started creating and before He finished the first day He took care of what was important, He took care of our salvation. He saw forward what was going to happen and He addressed it and took care of it.

Now for those of you who feel that since day three was when God brought forth vegetation and vegetation needs light today to grow, so how can this be if light is not created til day four.

Easy; God is light and that was enough light for that short time between day three and day 4. Also since the earth was originally watered by a mist coming up (Genesis 2) not rain. And then after sin and the flood we had rain to water everything, it is also possible at first the light of God was all that was needed for vegetation. And the light we see was more for decoration and to see by for man.

How can anyone not see that God took care of salvation before He even created man. By reading Mark 4, which deals with the sower of the word. John 1:14 tells us Jesus is the word, so sower of Jesus, and John 1:4 says He has the light and He (Jesus) said in John 14 that He is the light. So the sower of the word (Jesus, light), also deals with light, but the point here is Jesus said in Mark 4 you can not understand any parable if you do not understand the parable of the sower or understand the light (Jesus). So to understand the word (Jesus), you also need to understand the light. Because if He is light, and He is, then you can not fully grasp something you do not understand.

Understand this, God is Love , He is light and He is Spirit. You find out you are a child of God via the Spirit (Romans 8:16) and you become inheriters of the light (life John 1:4).

What did God tell Adam would happen if he ate of the fruit, he would die. We know also that in the light is the life of men (John 1:4). We also know Jesus is our life, so He is the light, and God anointed Him the light a long time ago. Remember what light does is light you, it lights your way, helps you walk in a way not to stumble as you would and did in the dark.

y prayer for you is that the light shines brightly in your life. Amen

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1
2.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
