Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Prayer ?

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Most people think prayer is something mystical, something that should be done for ones own needs.
Also, people think prayer is to be done over and over until the prayer is answered.

Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Job prayed for his friends and then God gave Job twice what he used to have.

When Job prayed for others all was returned to him twice.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 6:2 Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

We are to pray in private, not where others can see us.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We are to seek God, and not doubt that He already knows our needs and sees to them as we are seeking Him, and praying for others.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer says it all. It has all we need to pray for.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is a key part of answered prayer. We are to forgive others, accept our own forgiveness, and then forget as our Father does on our behalf. A key to forgiveness is forgetting. How can you truly have forgiven or accepted your forgiveness if you keep re-hashing the old sin? When it is forgotten, that is true forgiveness.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Even pray for those who persecute you or want to harm you.

Matthew 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Pray as Jesus did early and late, seeking guidance.

Matthew 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Mark 5:23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

To pray is to ask "Mark 5:23 I pray thee.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

Believing and not doubting, is when you pray for something and then don't pray for it again but praise God for it from then on.

Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Again, pray for those who curse you and despise you

John 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Jesus was, and is praying for us.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

We should never cease in our prayers, there is so much to pray for;

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

What are the riches in glory by Christ Jesus?

We are! We are the ones for whom He died. We are His glory, the riches (us) in glory by Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

He interceded for us, so we should be praying for each other without ceasing.

The main keys to prayer are to ask, on behalf of others, forgive, forget, believe it is done, and don't doubt.

I have found that the less self is involved and the more God replaces self, the more prayers are answered. I have had so many blessings come my way, that to number them all would take the rest of my life. We should count all blessings starting with the small ones, working up to the big ones. Too many are looking for the big ones, missing the small ones.

y prayer for you is that your relationship with the Father grows to the point self is removed and replaced with God. AMEN

My prayer for you is:

3 John 1

2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Remember to show faith when you pray, then praise and give thanks.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.

If you read Malachi 3:10-12 and then Mark 4:12-18 you will see where the tithe can and will increase your knowledge of the word and of God. The tithe is more than just giving 10% to a church, it is a way for God to have authority in your life over all that matters, your income, your growth, even relationships. Out of about 30 people I have known for the past 10+ years only 5 tithed. The 5 of the 20 that tithed have increased in every area of their life. Where the other 15 have increased some, they are still light years behind the 5 who tithed in all areas. It is your choice, but do not tithe until you understand the tithe and what it does for you and do it from the heart and not the head.
