First, understand God is
your Father and Daddy (Abba means daddy).
As your Father He corrects and looks out for you; as your Daddy He loves, and holds you.
If you lived in California & you called your dad in New York for a loan on Saturday, and he said, "Yes, I'll put the check in the mail tomorrow." If you talked to him on onday, would you ask for the money again? Of course not, you know it will take a few days to get to you by mail. So what would you say? If anything, you would thank them again. With God we praise & thank Him.
Answer one question, do you believe in God? If you said yes, then treat Him no less than you would a friend and continue to praise Him constantly until your prayer is answered.
Many out there ask God daily for the same thing, not realizing that each time they ask God has to stop what He already put in motion and start all over again..
Romans 4
13. For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
16. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Faith is your belief in God without doubt. The seed is Jesus and it refers to all who follow after Jesus. We are born with a set of seeds good and evil and depending on which is watered the most in our youth is the one will grow to become what we are in our adult life. That is why you see people who seem to be pure evil. So many follow the law or become legalistic in their lives missing the whole point of our salvation. What were we saved for, from, and by whom?
We were saved to have the relationship with God that Adam had. We were saved from what ever we needed saving from, grave, death, Hell, poverty, sickness, sadness, illness and so on. We are saved by the true Son of God and what He did for us at the cross.
Know that God wants us in a relationship with Him (think of your father here and how he protected you, loved you, hugged you and so on). Remember the love you had that first time you saw your first child.
What can make us righteous?
Genesis 15
6. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
That's faith, believing in God.
Romans 4
3. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Galatians 3
6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
James 2
23. And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
What did Jesus bear for us? He took it all on Him, Jesus was born to die for us, that was His passion in life.
This life is the second step in our over all life. First we spend 9 months or so in water in the womb, with no idea of this life or this world. Then we are born boy or girl. Now we spend 60, 70, 80 or more years here with no idea of the next life; it is as foreign to us as this life was to a baby in the womb. Then we are born of God or evil, and spend eternity in Hell or on the new earth. If it had not been for Jesus we would not have a choice.
Isaiah 53
1. Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Jesus suffered all of this for us, and we do not deserve it; but He loves us enough to die for us 2,000 years before we even were born.
Isaiah 54
9. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
A Covenant of peace, the word peace comes from the word Shalom, meaning whole, that in peace we are whole in all areas. Not sick but well, not poor but with more than enough, not sad, but in joy. If there is any negative in your life, any area that is lacking, then you are not whole and you do not have the peace of God in your life.
Romans 5
1.Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Why do so many Christians suffer?
We suffer due to a lack of faith or knowledge. It is not God that let us down but we let ourselves down.
Luke 4
18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
God gave us all we needed to succeed in all areas of our life, but we doubt mostly brought on by the world, or even from some denominations or non-denominations.
Acts 26
17. Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Romans 10
15. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 14
17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Titus 1
2. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Ephesians 1
4. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
1 Peter 1
20. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Revelation 13
8. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Ezekiel 34
25. And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
26. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
27. And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
28. And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
Jesus left behind the power and wisdom of God for us to use 2,000 years ago.
1 Corinthians 1
24.But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Satan has no more power over you than a spider does. The only power Satan gets is from us, our fear and ignorance.
Hosea 4
6.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Revelation 1
6.And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
You can attend every church service and read the Bible all day and night, and still be lost. Salvation comes from God via His Son.
