Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. JOB

So many misunderstand the book of Job, mostly because of a few verses.

Job 2

  1. And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
  2. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Job 2 (Literal translation)

God was not pointing Job out to Satan, and in 1612 AD when the King James version was translated, they read it like a question, God questioning Satan what he was doing to Job.

Job allowed fear in over his children

Job 1

  1. And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Fear his children were sinning and this gave Satan a way in and prevented God from helping Job.


So, for the most part of Job we hear how he lost all he had and was sitting with sores all over him, suffering and in pain. His wife and 3 best friends said "Just curse God, so you can die". Hence, Job believed his only way out of this trouble was death. Think about it, have you ever thought death would be the answer to all of your problems. But the only way Job could die was to curse God, and Job would not do that.

By the last 2 chapters we see that Job finally listens to God and stops listening to others. God tells him to pray for those 3 friends. In doing so it gave God a chance to work on them and help them and caused a way to bless Job.

So Job got back all he had lost, double.

Points of Interest

So, when we enter into fear we need to rebuke it, and always be sure to pray for everyone, especially our enemies.
