Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Women as Pastors and Priests

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Are women to be pastors and priests?

Based on the word, no woman should be over a man.

So women as teachers to certain degree would be allowed.

As far as pastors depending on the ministry, in some cases, women would be allowed and in others not.

We do nursing home ministry where 99% are women. In this case a woman can be a pastor.

But if a woman is a pastor in a church of men and the men are offended or not able to accept her as a pastor, then one of two things must happen. The men need to find a new church home or the woman needs to step down.

As far as I am concerned I have learned a lot from women, and think that women are equal to men.

But the word is plain on this:

1 Timothy 2

  1. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
  2. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
  3. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
  4. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
  5. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Now this was in a time when women cared for the children and they had no nursery to put the child into. To avoid confusion and noise the women would care for the children and miss most of the word. In that case, the husband would teach the woman at home.

I have 2 female pastors in H.O.M.E. and 2 male pastors. I have listened to them all and have to agree they know the Lord and can teach and help many to grow and learn how to hear from God. So, as the New Testament brought us equality in so many areas and we are all called, I would think the only problem is with ego of some men as far as learning from a woman. Never the less, if a woman as a pastor causes one to fall, then we have to be careful in allowing women as pastors in some cases.

As for myself, I have no problem submitting to a woman. The two in our ministry have shown themselves over and over again to be hearing from God. I, for one, do not want to miss a thing from God, so in case they heard something I did not, I am willing to submit to them.

The whole idea is to be available and to be there in the Love of God to help others grow in their relationship with God. I know of no woman or man who is truly of God that would not step down as a leader in the chance that someone may be helped and brought to the Lord.

Remember all who come to the Lord come from the world and many will not be able to handle a woman, or for that matter, some men as a pastor. If it means a title for someone Vs a salvation, I pray the salvation always wins out.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
