Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

Yes, I do mean invasion, and of the body. So what is this all about?

First of all it deals with those who attend church, either on a regular basis or what we call C & E'ers (those who only attend Christmas and/or Easter).

So many are in church for the wrong reason, and some are mislead this way by the leaders of the ministry.

Now look at how you dress for church. Do you dress that way at home, or even out with the family? If not, then why at church? Who are you trying to impress? Is it God? He does not need to be impressed and let's see what Jesus said:

Matthew 6

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mamon.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

If it is not God, then whom are you trying to impress?

You were told to dress up because that is the way it is. Well that is called tradition and tradition was part of what Jesus came to fulfill.

If you want to dress up that is fine, as long as it is not to show off or to let your neighbor think you are doing better in general and better than they by wearing better clothes.

The purpose of church is not to out-do each other.

How about the new car, is that part of showing off?

If it is to praise God that He has done this for you, then that's one thing, but it's another thing to pMark it where all will see and use it to show off.

Now, after church, you may go out to eat, and if you attended an early service you can be at your favorite eating place by no later than 11 AM. If you see people dressed down for the beach or just dressed in shorts and a T-shirt do you think they need God or they are not of God or, "Why are they dressed this way, don't they know this is the Lord's day?"

Well you just sinned. You are judging them and need to read Matthew 7. They could have gone to a Saturday service or mass, or plan on going to the Sunday night service. Also so many churches have the same service Sunday AM, PM and Wednesday PM so there is no reason to attend them all. So, what if they attended Wednesday PM so more of their one day off could be spent one on one with the family members they hardly see all week long. You see, you do not know what is in their hearts and that is where you are trying to do something that even Jesus would not do, and that is judge.

John 3

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

We are judged by the words of our mouth because that which comes from the mouth is from the spirit. If you dwell on bad things, then all that comes out is bad, because you have fed the spirit with bad and it responds like wise.

If you dwell on the Word of God you will speak only good and of the Word of God.

Have you ever judged someone because they drink or smoke? OK, then stop judging in all ways.

But what does all this have to do with body snatchers?

Maybe I should have said hypocrites instead.

On Saturday night or any night of the week, how many of you are out and having fun, maybe drinking and smoking, or dancing, or doing drugs or cheating on your spouse or just in fornication?

Then on Sunday morning you sit there and say amen or agree with the pastor in what he is saying about how some of these things are sin and how those who do it are sinning. But you sit there like you are clean and would never do these awful things. Some people act like they can not believe people do these things.

Then what are you? A hypocrite, or was your body just taken over the night before?

If you are being invaded then who is it invading and who is allowing it to happen?

Oh, it is a devil or demon that made you do that, but haven't you read if you rebuke the devil or demon in the name of Jesus it must flee? So what happened? Were you to weak to do this, or did you just allow it to happen and enjoyed it? Let's get down to the truth. None of the above happened. You went out and decided to break a few rules (comandments) thinking, "What difference can a few sins one night every once in a while mean?"

It means a lot, because as you do this you are opening doors to Satan and his demons to enter and run your life.

If you respond, "I don't do it that often just once in a blue moon" you are only fooling your self and no one else, because it only takes once to get in to trouble.

Imagine a bank robber saying I only robbed one bank so what difference does it make, especially since I will not do it again. Well, if it was your money a robber took, you would want it back and maybe want to throw them in jail for a few years.

You can not act one way 6.5 days a week and different on the other half a day and expect to get any where in God's kingdom. You must act the same all the time and yes we are not perfect and we will sin, but we should be striving to be sin free, and truly making changes in our lives for that end.

A new Christian may have to ask for forgiveness many times a day, but as time goes on, if he stays in the word and keeps listening for God he will see changes and notice that he is asking for forgiveness less and less.

God does not want to take your fun away. He only wants you to stop killing yourself.

You can dance. King David did so before the Mark, but in moderation. You can drink as long as it is in moderation. Smoking and drugs you need to stop because they kill, and God knows that some can stop the same day while others take longer. He never leaves you for anything. He is even still there when you are ignoring Him.

Don't become a pod person, someone whose body gets invaded. Become a good, up right part of the body of Christ. Remember He gave us a way to make it to the end and that is called forgiveness. You must repent; that means you try your best to stop what ever it is you need to stop doing (smoking, drugs, etc.).

But you must start attending a church that is uplifting and helps you to hear from God and grow in God. And not to show off your new car or clothes. Imagine how it makes those who can not afford clothes feel, and why so many may not come to your church.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
