Truth or Comfort

There are many who get hung up on a verse or two and try to make a whole new theology out of it; this is wrong.
We should not take a verse here or there and believe it on its own. We should take the entire word of God and believe.
I try to always show as much of scripture as possible, but sometimes room and time will not permit, so I hope you, the reader, will go the areas I quote and read the entire chapter, book or more.
I tell you now if someone who preaches or teaches does not line up with the Word of God, then you should not just leave, you should run from them.
My main desire is to teach people how to hear from God so that when they read my studies they can go verify it with God and if God says no, then that is who you believe. Two things, one always make sure it is God;
1 John 4
Next make sure you are listening to Him and not talking too much.
My studies should be easy to verify with God since all come from Him via His word and His Spirit.
There could be some problems that may come up. It may be that a study goes against the teaching of a particular church. Sometimes people go from church to church seeking what they want to hear more than the truth. Do not become one of these; always seek the truth. Another is that due to beliefs which may be wrong, strife or offense can come up. Always make sur,e no matter if you are right or wrong, that you are always in the love and controlling your emotions.
John 9
Many people use this verse to prove a point that sin did not cause this to happen to this man, but that is not what Jesus said. He stated that no specific sin of the person or his parents caused it, but since it happened it was going to be used to glorify the Father through the healing of his eyes.
You could interpret it this way: since this was during the law, God took advantage of a person who had not sinned in a way to be blind, but was blinded by sin in the world. Don't.
God does not and can not cause sin. He could set rules that might cause us to sin (if we violated them), but He does not even do this. He shows us through the law what sin is and where it is, so we can try to avoid it.
We can all get so deep into our comfort zones that we lose a lot of what we have learned. We should always be striving to grow. Comfort zones for very short while are OK, but for long periods can cause destruction.
We should always challenge ourselves to grow and operate in the true love of God (John 3:16). For if God loved us so much that He gave His own Son, then how much is it for us to be sure we are always in that type of sacrificial love. Give do not take; owe no one but love them.
True growth comes from purging oneself from all forms of negative thought and energy. First spend time with God, listening to Him. At first this may take a while to do, but is the most important thing you can do. Next spend time evaluating oneself (judging only ourselves) and making sure we are operating in the light of God, the name and blood of Jesus, and the Word, while reviewing the fruit of the Spirit in ourselves to see where we are weak to make us strong.
It is not getting out witnessing to others that is important. Too many people do this wrongly and end up messing up something God is already working on. God should be guiding us to whom we should witness and He alone should instruct us in what to say.
I John
Some of you may say, "OK, I do not have to witness." That is not what I am saying. I am saying, "Be sure, before you do, that it is by direction of Him who knows all and not by man who knows nothing."
As far as the end times are concerned, too many get caught up in this and miss the day they are in and miss a good chance to be used by God. It does not matter when Jesus returns. He will; but until then we have a job to do and a relationship to build. So treat each day like the last but plan for tomorrow.
Do not put too much energy into the last days. The last days will come, no matter what, we should all be treating each day as if it is our last and trying hard to get our relationship with Jesus right. No one knows when they will die. Jesus may return in a year, but today you may leave to go to the next life.
Also, church should be where you go to be edified, uplifted, and charged up. You should be learning daily through your relationship with God.
Comunion means personal relationship, actual intimate relationship, and Jesus told us to have comunion often; meaning to comune with Him all the time, not just once a week, or month.
All of this is about relationship and growth in the relationship.
God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
