Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

LOVE - Relationship

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

As I write this study I am seeking God for guidance. Normally He gives me a subject and it comes together through the word and hearing Him. I know there is something now I need to write, so this study will be on relationship, not just our relationship with God but with each other.

John 3

  1. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What greater love is there, than when one gives up all including his life for another?

Matthew 5

  1. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
  2. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
  3. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
  4. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
  5. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
  6. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
  7. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
  8. And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
  9. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Above, Jesus describes how we must act toward each other, what our relationship should be like.

Matthew 22

  1. Master, which is the great comandment in the law?
  2. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
  3. This is the first and great comandment.
  4. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
  5. On these two comandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Here we see the two greatest comandments, dealing with our relationship with God and then each other.

One of Satan's favorite lies is for us to believe we should hate ourselves. That way if we hate our self then we will hate others. No we should not love this life, but no where are we told to hate our self.

So by getting us to hate our own self, then we read Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself so we begin to hate our neighbor as well.

John 12

  1. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

We hate our life because of the world system and how hard it is to be like God.

John 13

  1. A new comandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
  2. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

  1. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what comunion hath light with darkness?

Comunion was used in all versions in John 10, but not in the original translations; we have added that. Later, in 2 Corinthians we see fellowship replaced with comunion.

Strong's Number: 2842

Transliterated: koinonia

Phonetic: koy-nohn-ee'-ah

Text: from 2844; partnership, i.e. (literally) participation, or (social) intercourse, or (pecuniary) benefaction: --(to) comunicate(-ation), comunion, (contri-)distribution, fellowship.

Comunion is our relationship with God. The taking of the cup and the bread or the blood and the body we do when we read the word and eat it and devour it. Jesus wanted us to constantly be in fellowship with Him and the Father as He was.

John 5

  1. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
  2. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

We have a tendency to want to be able to take a pill or something, like the cup and bread and hope we are changed. Change comes from within, time in the word, and in relationship with the Father. I mean a relationship, listening, listening and listening.

But this seems hard so we hope for a magic pill.

We are told that we are to learn all things from God. Jesus said it in John 14:26 and John said it in I John 2:27.

I John 2

  1. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

John 14

  1. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

You can have a relationship with God the Father; start by listening and keep listening until you hear Him.

As our relationship with Him grows it will grow with others as well.

If you are married:

Men - treat your wife like she is made of gold. Love her, send her flowers, write her love notes. Take her to dinner and dancing. Make her feel like the only woman on the earth and she will treat you awesomely.

Women - treat your husband as I have told the men to treat you, but instead of buying and sending them things, spend time with them, love them, cherish them.

I would suggest you both find comon ground to grow on, and spend time together, talking and doing things together. It is not a bad idea to have things to do separate as well. Just try to find the comon areas you have and grow them.

To all else, treat everyone as you want to be treated. You never know when someone is going to be called home to the Lord, so treat each day as the last.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
